I asked the server if the portion of grilled marinated pork was the same with vs. without the crispy spring roll since both cost the same price. He said they were the same, but later on I doubted that. I didn't care for the crispy spring roll (personal preference, just never enjoyed them), and would opt for the marinated pork vermicelli bowl instead next time. Cambodian relatives had the craving for Vietnamese food, so we trekked out to Eden Center. An older Viet lady passing by while we were discussing which restaurant to try recommended this one, and I am glad she did. It's hard to pick my favorite from their expansive menu, but if I had to choose, it would have to be their bun rieu cua. The tomato broth is packed with flavor but still light and refreshing, with the perfect balance of acidity and sweetness from the tomato and tamarind, as well as a rich savory-ness from the crab. They offer a generous helping of seafood, vermicelli, and various veggies, and you're sure to leave full and satisfied. However, if you want something else to whet your appetite, I love their banh beo -- the rice cakes are perfectly steamed, with a light, airy, almost pillow-y texture. And they're the best vehicle for the prawns and aromatic scallion oil. The service is pretty quick, and it generally only takes 15-20 min. for them to prepare your order for either pick-up / take-out or dine-in. Their nem nuong is a solid choice for lunch or dinner; whenever I am at Eden, I always order some for my husband. Their nem nuong is made fresh to order, and takes roughly 15-20 minutes to be ready. It is served with a special orange sauce, that is different from your typical peanut sauce or nuoc mam. It contains a grilled baked pork, lettuce, herbs, and a crunchy egg wrapper INSIDE the roll. I'm really glad I got to try this restaurant. For a Saturday night, it was not packed at all and our party of eight were seated immediately. Two of my friends have been here before and talked about how delicious and flavorful the Cơm Tay Cầm (clay pot rice) is, so I knew I had to order one. There are five proteins options of Cơm Tay Cầm here, ranging from beef, seafood, chicken, vegetarian, or baby clams! Cơm Tay Cầm Bò Lúc Lầc - 16.95 The clay pot rice is pretty small so you might need to order an appetizer to share to be full. However, this was extremely tasty. There was a generous amount of flank steak in our clay pot which was extremely tender and flavorful. This entree also comes with fish sauce (and maybe mixed with something else) which only adds more savoriness to the marinated steak and well-seasoned rice. The rice on the bottom was extremely crispy with a good charred taste! There's also a lot of onions which was a must in this dish. It's worth paying the money for this clay pot rice because it's absolutely delicious. The Cơm Tay Cầm was fantastic and we'd highly recommend it at Nha Trang. We got a large bbq pork sausage summer rolls for an appetizer. Every time I come here, we always get this. The sauce they come with is so addictive. Best place to get Vietnamese sausage rolls, aka Nem Nuong Cuon, around town. This item isn't even available at that many Viet restaurants, but this place does it the best. The secret is in their sauce. This is my best go to hole-in-the-wall place for Viet food, especially because of the rolls. The restaurant itself is tucked away in a lesser know part of Eden, given that it doesn't have a store front entrance outside like most of the places at Eden. I've never had to wait in line here like I've had to so before for Rice Paper, pre-COVID times. The food here is good and I the service is great. Payment system changed recently, so AMEX no longer accepted, but I'm glad this place isn't cash only like some Eden restaurants.
