Decided to try this place since my friend and I were in the area and craving boba at 11 am. As soon as we walked in, we were instantly greeted by the sweetest and kindest owner. My friend ordered the roasted oolong milk tea, while I got the haicha roasted high mountain oolong tea for my bf and the haicha jasmine oolong tea for myself. They open pretty early for a boba place which is really nice. I got the Okinawa milk tea with boba, no complaints! Half sugar was perfect for me. Came here to catch up with a friend when she was visiting the area. The spot seems new. It was pretty quiet on a sat afternoon, so the usual crowd must be PCC students when school is in session. I ordered a Oolong MT, no sugar and light ice. Flavor was definitely there. My friend got a thai tea with boba. It is slightly expensive compared to some of the nearby options. I came here after my brother recommended me this location. It did not disappoint! The owner was friendly, welcoming, and provided me with a gift as a first time customer. The shop was clean and cozy with soothing music. I tried the Hokkaido tea with brown sugar boba at 75% and it was such a uniquely delicious drink! I nearly forgot to take a photo. Reviews seem positive for this place so I dunno what was up with our drinks. While the tea flavor, at least for the jasmine, was strong, it was so strong it tasted almost artificial (compared to similar tea-forward places).

There were samples to try, which I believe gets rotated. These were the drinks I got: Pinewood Milk Tea ($6.85): It was good. It tasted like a lighter version of earl grey. 3/5 stars Koan-Im Oolong Milk Tea ($6.85): Also good and very light. This one was supposed to be roasted, but it didn't really stand out. 3/5 stars Both teas I got were quite light. I genuinely don't know if it really lives up to any of the tea shops in Alhambra, but it was decent. Price is on the pricier side. Customer service was great though. Parking is street parking, which is free. I'll come back to try other drinks with their toppings. But for now 3 stars....

We have been coming to this newer, quieter location on and off for a few years. The old brick…read morebuilding is very cute, and the small side patio has worked well for us with our dog. Service has been fine; you can order from a touch screen or at the end of the counter. Unfortunately, the quality has been hit or miss lately. We have enjoyed the lavender latte and pistachio toddy latte, as well as the burrito. However, a few recent misses include: - Pistachio croissant with an overpowering alcohol flavor, like someone used too much pistachio extract instead of real pistachios. - The matcha banana latte tasted very watery and bitter, and didn't seem to make the most of either flavor. It somehow added up to less than the sum of its parts, which was a bummer for $9.50. - Not exactly a miss, but the person behind the counter cautioned me that the coffee cake I tried to order was too stale. I appreciated that . . . but why are stale pastries even on display? We have also had several false starts attempting to order things on the menu that they are all sold out of. This isn't the end of the world, but when it happens multiple times, it starts to feel like the signage is more for decor than information about what's truly available. I also had a strange experience trying to use the restroom. I could barely reach it behind all of the storage, and even when I did get inside, I could not for the life of me find the light switch and had to use my phone's flashlight to see. This was a while ago, so maybe this part is better now, but it contributed to the overall feeling that things are not quite on track. I hope that they can resolve whatever issues are happening behind the scenes, because this is exactly the kind of place we want to support, and I still think it has a lot of potential!
