My friends and I came in during a weekend morning and we ordered 5 drinks in total and all of them were absolutely amazing. There's a lot of tea shops here in the area that tout that they have high quality ingredients, but the owner here really actually does use them and steeps them correctly. In fact, he even told us to not drink one of the teas until 3 hours later and another one until 6 hours later in order for the full flavor to come out. I absolutely appreciate a business owner that's willing to not compromise on quality and to inform the customer how to properly drink the tea. Hidden gem, will be coming again. read more

My husband and I are just visiting town and were craving boba, so we did a quick Google search and found this shop--and we are so glad we did We ordered the coconut smoothie and mango smoothie, both with brown sugar boba at 50% sweetness. They were perfectly balanced and super refreshing. The brown sugar boba had a great texture and flavor that complemented both drinks really well. We also tried the house-made black sesame crunch, which was excellent--crispy, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Honestly, we should've picked up another bag to take back home! The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the service overall was top-notch. Parking was also super convenient--just right off the street. This was my first time at this boba shop and i have to say IT IS ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE BEEN TO. The parking is really easy because there is plenty on the street. Came here a few months ago and I must say the reviews really don't lie. I ordered Thai milk tea and taro slush and it did not disappoint. I'm usually very picky when it comes to taro but the taro here is sooo good. It's very authentic and true to its flavor. The owner here is very kind and took his time to make sure our order was correct. He puts a lot of passion when making these drinks which makes it extra good and special. You can tell he enjoys what he does and he takes the time to have a nice conversation with the customers. The ambiance of this place reminds me of a mom and pop shop which I love the most. Decided to go to a new spot near school today and it was very pleasant. The owner Tommy is so nice! I got my usual thai tea with boba, something I get at every boba spot to test their drinks out. I was hungry as well and I tried the cut up pork bites, with seasoned egg, came with broccoli and radish and a fish ball. It hits the spot and reminded me of home, a dish my mom used to make. Parking: street parking on one side of the street and a pretty busy parking lot. Overall not too bad, pcc can get hectic. I got orange jasmine green tea and it was the perfect level of sweetness for me at 100%. The owner is very attentive and the space is quiet for the most part. Had no problems with my drink but my friend had a drink that was too sweet and was quickly fixed by the owner. Overall this is a really good quiet spot, but no open outlets so studying seems limited. A great spot to catch up with friends. I wish the AC was a little colder but still comfortable to sit in and enjoy. read more

Fika Fika is a great shop to get a fragrant floral tea and a small bite to eat. The menu has…read moreadjusted slowly over time, but they maintain a solid coffee and tea selection, with some food options and (at the Pasadena location) about 16 flavors of gelato. On this weekday I came for the Jasmine Milk Tea. Last time this was under the Tea Latte section, but they menu changed and there is now a dedicated Milk Tea section. And also there is a Jasmine Latte with Espresso in it, but that is under the Espresso section. I was able to get it chilled but without ice. The lowest sweetness level was 50%, but I asked nicely and they estimated they could make a 25% for me. It turned out wonderfully, extremely floral, barely any sweetness so the Jasmine aroma and taste were the dominant ones. In the food side I selected the popcorn chicken. I can take some heat but only a small bit, so I asked for the spice powder in the side. I just looove the texture of the popcorn chicken. You can see in the picture that it's a very thin breading, almost not there, but the texture seems almost as if an invisible rice flour was tossed in the outside. Still juicy in the inside, and small pieces to make every bite pop-able. The chicken comes with a ranch sauce, though to me it's a second thought. Add a hint of spice or even have the chicken as is, no ranch is needed.

TL;DR: I've been here a handful of times and keep coming back for the work-friendly atmosphere,…read moresolid rewards program, and flavored lattes. Traditional espresso drinks, however, aren't their strong suit. Pros: Plenty of seating, lots of outlets, reliable Wi-Fi, and a comfortable space to work or study. They also have a solid rewards program if you visit regularly, plus various avocado toast options and Asian-inspired ice cream if you're looking for more than coffee. My favorite drink is the brown sugar latte (I'd recommend 25% or 50% sweetness), followed by the Thai tea latte. Cons: Traditional espresso drinks feel more modernized than authentic. On my most recent visit (Friday around 10:20 a.m.), I ordered a cappuccino that took 15 minutes to receive and was surprised it only came in 12 oz or 16 oz. I was expecting a smaller cup like other places. The 12 oz tasted more like a latte with extra steamed milk than a classic cappuccino. The ube and hojicha lattes were decent, but I've had better elsewhere. Parking in front is limited to 15 minutes, but there's additional one-hour parking in the rear.

But theirs is so lovely - it was the Sicily ($6.25 - Ethiopian cold brew, orange blossom water, lemon juice, touch of raw sugar, lime zest). It drinks like a refreshing tonic BUT I love that they shake this beverage and then top it with fresh lime zest. Lovely. I also had the ham & cheese croissant and it was awesome. I was eyeing the miso kouign amann but opted out, I'll have to come back for it as well as some of their matcha options!

The decor is understated, worn, and very student driven, with a charming sign offering a free milk drink to any student who ordered a full meal during a challenging exam week - how kind [+1 point for service]. We ordered from a screen; call me old fashioned, but I like being greeted and the place wasn't busy enough to justify such a streamlined experience. We ordered the original waffle with vanilla ice cream. It took about 10 minutes as we entertained ourselves with the claw machine and got lucky - twice. The waffle was crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, with a distinct fortune-cookie flavor. It was delicious, and paired perfectly with the vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. We did not get a filling nor try the delectable appearing chocolate waffle - next time! Prices were elevated - $8 for the waffle and $2.50 for the ice cream (complete with whipped cream and chocolate syrup), but the unique product was absolutely delicious. While my undergraduate career was 20 years ago, I really can appreciate a place like this. Were I a student at PCC, I would simply live at this establishment. There were quite a few boba shops nearby, but honestly the business name alone caught my attention and made me choose this one. The shop is conveniently located directly across from Pasadena City College, which makes it a great spot for students looking to grab drinks or food between classes. The downside is parking. There's very limited parking in the back and a lot of nearby residential streets have "no parking" signs, so finding a spot can be a little annoying. The shop itself is a decent size and definitely seems popular with students hanging out, studying, or working on assignments. Personally though, the atmosphere didn't feel especially warm or cozy to me compared to some other boba shops I've visited. The layout also felt a bit narrow, which was difficult navigating with my son's stroller. That said, what the shop lacked in atmosphere for me, it definitely made up for with the drinks and food. I ordered a 16 oz jasmine milk tea and even though I had to pay extra for boba (which brought the total to almost $5.50), the drink itself was honestly pretty good. I was also hungry, so I tried the pork buns, which ended up being tasty and surprisingly filling. You get four for around $13. While I do think you could probably get a larger meal elsewhere for the same price, the quality itself was still good. One thing I appreciated is that they have a larger food menu than most boba shops. Besides milk teas and fruit teas, they also offer popcorn chicken, appetizers, soups, rice dishes, sandwiches, smoothies, coffee, and even ice cream drinks. Customer service was excellent. The staff were polite, efficient, and kind throughout the visit. Overall, I think this is a solid spot for Pasadena City College students looking for a place to study, hang out with friends, or grab a quick meal and boba. I do think the shop could benefit from adding a little more personality and warmth to the space... maybe board games, student artwork, or more fun décor would help make it feel more inviting and memorable???

They have several baristas. The staff were nice and friendly. I was indecisive at first because they have many delicious and refreshing drinks, But I ultimately chose Pink Dragon fruit. The price is reasonable compared to the quality and quantity of the drink. The drink itself was fanatic. I really enjoyed it. Yes! I will definitely go back to try more of their drinks.

It gets busy here when school kids are hanging out but if you are outside of those windows, it doesn't take too long. Service ranges from friendly to standard, so no complaints there. The one issue I have with them is they show a loyalty program in terms of entering your phone number -- if you order online as well as the register. But I've never gotten any points. I once asked the owner about it and he claimed that they do in fact give out items, and said he would check on it that night when I told him the situation. But he never actually asked my name and info, and I've still never received any points since, despite having ordered here about twice a week for the past several weeks. It's not a deal breaker but it's strange.
