I was so glad to see they were open when I was in the area. I got just the regular snail to-go and warmed up a piece at home. It was fluffy and sweet. There was something appley about the flavor in a pleasant way. They also have mini snails, but I figured I'd get my maximum fluffdom with a regular one. They have so many varieties so next time I will get two different minis. Be sure to check their website or social media channels for the most up-to-date hours.

Considering how difficult it is to make good (and seemingly-healthy despite all the sugar) cinnamon rolls without dairy or eggs, these are fantastic. And not too pricy given the quality of the ingredients. I went with two different pre-selected options - the Planetarium (with strawberry sauce, sesame seeds, and freeze-dried apples) and the Quake (with banana, pistachios, carrot bacon, and mini chocolate chips); both were good, with standouts including the freeze-dried apples and the carrot bacon. It's a counter-service spot, with a few tables in the back and in the front. Service moves slow, mostly because I arrived at opening time and things needed to get warmed up. The hours (as mentioned by others) are odd - I'm hoping they do catering to stay in business. Cute place, great meal.

Delicious, unique cinnamon rolls that I'd eat every week if I lived in the state. The cinnamon roll was soft and gooey with the perfect amount of spice. I got the what I believe was called the Bee Roll. But! A clever person sitting inside by the name of Jackie, suggested I get potato chips crushed on top. Chef's kiss! I tried not to devour it too quickly but...it was that good! There are so many clever cinnamon roll combinations here, as well as different ways to personalize your roll. Plus the owner is really nice! You will be very happy that you came in --your taste buds will thank you!

Amazing cinnamon rolls. Granted It's always great to see you! I haven't had fresh made cinnamon rolls in years. These definitely hit the spot. They can modify any premade Option (plus some non gf toppings)for the gluten free rolls. They still come with the signature periwinkle icing. First pic is the lunchbox: strawberry sauce, peanut butter drizzle and lays chips. Second pic is the quake roll. It has banana, pistachios, carrot bacon and mini chocolate chips. Both were super delicious

Wow I can't believe Hail Snail exists! It is 100% vegan with gluten free (GF) options. The staff was very friendly, the space was clean, and the outside seating was a nice vibe. I'm excited to go back and create my own GF snail (I just might add a scoop of Kate's Ice Cream mmmmm)!

I am by no means vegan yet I have vegan friends and the occasional vegan guest that stays at my local Airbnb. I have been curious about this place, their quality, and if they are a business worth recommending to others. Wow!!! My daughter and I tried the cinnamon rolls with the royal purple icing and we shared some with another family and a 'boyfriend-in-law'. We ALL truly enjoyed them! I can in fact say these are the best cinnamon rolls I've tasted ever. They are soft, moist, and oh so yummy! The quality is much better than what I've had. I highly recommend this place and I plan to try some of the other items on their menu!

I loved the gluten free explorer snail! 10/10, I replaced the graham crackers with pistachios and it was sooo good. Friendly service and a very relaxing space with chill music.

This is a funky little roadside restaurant. The inside of the building is very small and doesn't really accommodate dining in, it's more like pick up and go. The clerk was nice and helpful in making selections especially for the kids. In the backyard though, there are several picnic tables and a couple of food carts that happened to be closed when we were there. The snails were large and delicious but a little on the pricey side. The kids loved it all and had a blast tearing around in the backyard.

Outside. Hand sanitizer to use before walking in!

I've got my go-to spots for doughnuts in Portland and now I know this is my go-to spot for amazing cinnamon rolls! I took mom here and she got the bee which comes with pecans, maple cream, toasted coconut, and crushed newmans. I made my own and it had peanut butter, chocolate sauce, maple cream, toasted coconut, brownie, and cookie dough. Long story short, we both absolutely LOVED ours. The toppings were so delicious when eaten with the cinnamon roll, and the cinnamon itself was incredibly soft and cooked just right. I may have been slightly overzealous with toppings (I asked and our server said they didn't have a limit so you can put as many different ones as you like!) and could probably get away with not as much next time, but I really loved the peanut butter and brownie combination. But the cookie dough was tasty too! And so was the fresh toasted coconut! Awh hell, who am I kidding, you can never have *too much* toppings on a perfect tasting cinnamon like these :) I forgot to ask for a name but the server who was working at 11am (we got there about 10 minutes after they opened) on Saturday, September 5th was incredibly helpful and had an extremely friendly personality - exactly the kind of person you'd like to interact with when stopping in for a sweet treat. Overall, mom and I were very happy we stopped by. The cinnamon roll itself is already wonderful, but once you bite into that soft dough with your favorite toppings and have everything mingling in your mouth, you'll be thankful you decided to eat here! I'll definitely be back again!

Regular hail snail (5 minis and one regular)

Been wanting to try this place for awhile and was in the area one day and finally stopped by! Smallish cafe with mainly outdoor seating. Ordered one regular snail and 5 small ones (both same price). They were delicious and not as heavy and sweet like your typical Cinnabon ones. They drizzle the purple vanilla icing on top of each one which is sooo cute. My mom loved as well. The mini snails were cute but I feel you get more with the normal sized one so will probably get that next time. They have punch cards available and lots of street parking!

Gluten free classic cinnamon buns (gf majesty). Purple icing is their signature. Pretty good for gf!

The owner and his wife greeted us when we came in and we ordered an RBC and a Chicken Asiago which were delicious! We were so excited to eat that we forgot to take pictures! The owner was chatting with us and told us the Chicken Asiago is his best seller. He also gave us free samples of his award-winning Texas Chili and Jalapeno Popper Soup which were phenomenal (I immediately switched my side salad to the 50/50 chili and soup after trying it). He was so, so friendly and had an absolutely infectious passion for food! His food is gluten-free, seed-oil free, and sugar-free so it's a great option for people with celiac disease or other similar food sensitivities! He even gave us a sample of his healthy sugar alternative, Monk Fruit sweetener (which we regrettably forgot to take with us when we left). The food was amazing but the vibe and the hospitality was unmatched. Thank you for an amazing meal! Sorry again that we forgot the monk sweetener! -E&J

Let me tell you these are so worth it! I will start by saying these are not like a standard fluffy donut. Mochi style donuts are more like a thick old fashioned donut in the best way possible. Be ready to be full after one, or two. I love the variety of types of toppings and got half a dozen to try a few. Also loved seeing they fill the donuts to order, so less chance of a soggy center. Note: I had no soggy centers and it took 3 days to eat them all. Of them all, the horchata pudding was my favorite. The warm and creamy flavor worked so well with it. I will say the frosting and fillings were great alone but I wasn't huge on the brighter flavors (key lime, watermelonade) with the donut. Either way, I took care of my donut craving, got to see a different area of the city, and had a sugar rush for a few days.

Good chocolate donut all around. 5 stars Pool Boi - loved the creativity with the little gummy bear in the sour gummy ring and the blue raspberry flavor was on point! 5 stars. Passionfruit curd - fantastic tart curd with a classic mochi donut. Yum. 5 stars. Key lime pie - perfect tartness that worked well with the sweetness of everything. 5 stars. Cocoa pebbles - excellent chocolate donut! Could had used more cocoa pebbles. They need to have more chocolate specials! 5 stars. Horchata pudding - lovely cinnamony donut with a tasty horchata pudding. 5 stars. Ube - I wish the Ube flavor was in the donut too. Perhaps the Ube flavor could had been stronger in the glaze? 4.5 stars. Orange cardamom - subtle cardamom flavor but overall tasty donut. Not especially noteworthy flavor. 4.5 stars. Black sesame and jam - I usually love black sesame, but the combination with the jam was not my favorite. It's probably personal preference, but next time I'm going to ask for it without it. 4.5 stars. Strawberries and cream - compared to the strawberry yuzu, this one was a little underwhelming. Adding fresh strawberries with the cream would had been the way to go. 4.5 stars. Guava cheesecake - the Guava flavor was overpowered by the graham cracker flavor on this one. I think a straight Guava one would be amazing. 4 stars. Compared to pon de ring and more traditional mochi donuts, these had more donut characteristics and were much sweeter and less chewy.
