I'm very particular about my haircut, and Mahnaz is able to keep all my requests in mind and give me exactly what I want in the end. She really listens to what you say and is able to accurately translate that to the cut. I feel like Mahnaz understands me when I ask for something while previous stylists have not. Naz is the BEST! I first met her when she worked at Regis at the Hillsdale Shopping Center some years ago. Now she has her own location at Sola Salon Studios on El Camino Real (by Walgreens). Naz is great at what she does and is kind and very gentle with your hair. She is a true professional and really listens to what my kids and I want each and every time. (And you never know what we'll want. I'm personally very adventurous when it comes to my hair, hehe). I'm a 49 year old woman and I push this lady's limits - whether it's deciding to grow out my gray hair (yay #grayhairmovement) or doing highlights, or dyeing my hair purple/blue, or cutting it short.... she will indulge me and adds her own expert advice, while taking into account that I have little and thinning hair. No matter what I request, though, she always does a great job and I end up loving my new hair look. My teen son has an extra sensitive scalp so he has always detested getting haircuts. He is growing his big curly hair so he is even more hesitant to go get a haircut. About a year ago I finally convinced him to come see Naz with me and now he refuses to go anywhere else. My tween daughter just loves getting pampered by Naz period. I can see she enjoys getting her hair washed (just like I do) and she loves the treats Naz offers her (a chocolate, a madeleine cookie or water). If you come to MAHNAZ to get your hair done you will have a fun time. She's not some fussy fuddy old lady but a charming and sweet person. She has all kinds of fun things to use on your hair- to wit- her super cool Dyson Airwrap hair dryer/curler. She will deep condition your hair with what looks like L'Oréal power milk. She even has an automatic hair vac that turns on if you accidentally stand in front of it. We both wore our masks the entire time which was about two hours to get my hair back to its normal self.
