I called in to see if someone can braid my hair. French braid really simple. They said yes they can and they will take care of me right away. I got there all the ladies that work there were just hanging out talking not much people but the lady I spoke to she took care me. I showed her what I wanted than she had me sit down, she started playing with my hair I felt like she was unsure of what she was doing. Than she started asking her coworkers on how to braid they all where saying they didn't know. She told me to have a sit at the waiting area after she was clueless when working on my hair. Than she goes outside where her coworkers where smoking out in front to ask if they knew. She comes back in to tell me no one can do my hair. I'm sorry but this is unprofessional & ridiculous that you have someone waste there time & drive up to your location to be told they can't provide service due to there lack of on how to do a French braid. Terrible service I won't ever go back. read more

Like any other hair salon, whether it's a chain or pricey spa, it's all about who is cutting your hair. After getting a boring haircut that I paid $50 for at Arte Salon in Schaumburg, I decided to go to Hair Cuttery to get something more fresh (mostly because I didn't want to pay $50 again). For about $20 I got what is now my most favorite hairstyle ever. Everyone at Hair Cuttery was nice, and though it was busy I only waited a few minutes. Felt I needed to update, as I have been seeing Danni since my original review, but have decided to cut my hair super short... a scary but exciting thing to do! I brought her pics of probably 10 hair cuts, telling her what I liked and didnt like about each one (the short layer at the crown on this one, the length of the side pieces on that one, the bangs on this one are too short, etc.) Then I let her do her work. I visited this location on 4/9/2016. I chose Diana A. to help me after reading yelp reviews of the surrounding Hair Cuttery's in my area. My hair was in desperate need of a perfectionist and someone that wasn't judgmental. My previous stylist was a nice person with good intentions, but ended up making some mistakes and I was very unhappy everyday looking at my hair. Within the first ten minutes of my appointment, Diana took the time to understand what I wanted for now and what my goal was for the future. She took what I wanted and gave me some ideas to enhance it. I ended up with a perfect asymmetrical bob that will lead me to the long bob I'm looking for in the future. She's very kind, gentle, and easy to be a client of. I'm happy to have found my new stylist and look forward to working with her again in the future! As usually, the staff are extremely friendly. This has to be the only salon where I don't feel awkward. They make friendly conversations. I went there for a hair cut and brow wax this time. As soon as I got there, I was immediately taken cared of. They sat me down and asked what I want with my hair, they gave advise, shampoo, then the usually blah blah blah. I like the length of my hair, but my bangs are ehh... I'm extremely picky about my hair so my bangs do bother me abit. This is the first time I got my brows wax, or any wax in general. I heard it hurts so I was pretty nervous and asked a bunch of question. How long it took, told them in detail what I want, how much it would hurt, etc. the lady that helped me was super nice and patient with me. Silwia, the girl who cut my hair and wax my brow is super awesome. When it comes to looks, I'm super picky, but she was able to please me. Hair cut I'll say 8/10 stars Brows 9/10 stars Oh and when she waxed my brows, it wasn't as painful as I imagined, it was almost nothing. After she waxed, she plucked a few strands and applied aloe to make it less painful, it wasn't painful but it did sting abit. I'm happy that my skin around the eyes, after she waxed, wasn't red. I mean it was alittle pink for a few mins, but then it was gone. read more

I came in for a brow wax. I've only gone to one place prior and they always rushed and did such a sloppy job. Jessica did an amazing job!!! She took her time and was very professional, she actually cared about my eyebrows and how they looked!! That's how you should be treated My brows look beautiful! Friendly place and sweet girl who cut my hair but got an uneven hair cut, I had to trim it myself when I got home. She spent somewhere between 10 to 12 minutes cutting my hair and asked me if I wanted a shampoo, I opted out and paid $17 plus tip. I have been to two other Hair Cuttery before and the results are similar. read more
