Solid halal food in a town you wouldn't expect to see since we're very...non city like. I usually only see halal food from a cart and open late for the drunkies in the city haha good to know there's one a few mins from me when I'm craving, specially since they open past midnight! That's unheard of in Westwood, we're a dead town after 10pm IF THAT haha Food is crazy flavorful, I always get the lamb and chicken rice platter which is pretty big. I've never been able to finish the whole thing at one sitting. Fair warning, their hot sauce is freaken hot and I can handle hot. Definitely don't overdo it and ask for it on the side. Trust me! Chicken wings are actually marinated before they batter up which is awesome. You get a flavor bomb with the crunch and not just sad plain wings like many places do. Fries? They def don't cheap out here. My goto for halal food. Ive only ordered take out but they have a pretty spacious restaurant seating inside as well. Def recommend! read more

Their platters are good and extremely reasonably priced and open very late. My husband and I have gotten take out from here a couple of times. The chicken is well seasoned and the rice is great. The white sauce is also good but their hot sauce is a little bit too aggressively hot without the hot sauce pay off you want. Only complaint is that everything seems oily but I think that is honestly just part of the actual platters and how they're cooked. All and all a good spot especially if you're craving halal that is like that from NYC. read more

Located in a lot with plenty of parking, Halal Gyro Master is a promising spot with plenty of seating inside. Workers are nice, and prices are reasonable. I got the chicken platter which was good. Chicken was plenty, fresh and well seasoned. I wish I could comment on the hot and white sauce, but it was missing from my order, even though I asked twice. The masala fries were fresh but bland. Stopped by on Saturday night for a quick dinner pick up. Restaurant was pleasantly full with people waiting for take out and had a handful of booths to dine in casually. Lamb platter was delicious with an assortment of fresh vegetables to choose from. Red and white sauce is always a must on platters. Quick service and rock bottom prices. The foods OK. The "masala" fries were not masala just regular season fries you find at a grocery store. Similar to the fries from Checkers. I did find a green French fry in The French fries which was ugly. The service was good because they were fast with the food. Ordered here Friday night. Walked in for pick up. They were not busy and took orders promptly. All in spent $25 for 2 gyro platters with fries and a single gyro. Got home and was dissatisfied with the meat and fries. They chop the lamb meat which was then overcooked and dry. The fries are regular frozen and not any good. 2 thumbs down. 1 star just to post but I give it 0 stars read more

This place is underrated for sure. I'm very familiar with Halal Guys, Juicy Platters, etc. This place is solid with friendly staff and an incredible deal. The chicken is different from what a typical shawarma place would serve. It tastes more like diced chicken with a tandoori color and flavor. If you're a fan of tandoori chicken, you'll like it. If you want something that's more middle eastern, then order the falafel or lamb gyro. The hotsauce is made in-house and extremely good. Reminds me of the original Halal Guys sauce but not as potent. White sauce also solid. Rice has a turmeric color and not overly seasoned, which is a good thing imo. Masala fries are wonderful and remind me of cajun fries. We will be back. Visited today for lunch- won't be back. People behind the counter have zero personality. Food was not that good at all - lamb gyro meat was disgusting and the cucumber sauce had a "funk" to it. Wife had the chicken gyro and had the same funk. They gave us a ton of Fries. Got a fountain soda and the coke had a funk to it also. Overall, wasted $25.00 and won't be back. This place is a solid 5 stars. I don't understand why its under 4. Food is fresh, authentic and very reasonably priced. The chicken and lamb combo platter is the same as the best from NYC, and their burgers, zinger chicken burgers and falafel sandwiches are also top notch. This place will not last very long if they continue serving crap. Got the lamb gyro with fries dinner and it was terrible. If you like dried old chunks of mutton that is hard to chew than you will love this place. The fries are the string type fries that get cold real fast and have no potato taste like thicker fries do. Excellent food with large portions! The falafal patter is enough for two meals, for a very reasonable price. My friend had the lamb gyro and loved it. We oedered takeout, which was ready in about 10 minutes. The dining area is spacious, and there's a large TV on one wall. The staff was very pleasant. Will be eating here again! read more
