Can't believe Halal Munchies opened here. Texas Chicken and Chubby Chicken got some competition coming for them. They charge the least to get a Chicken Sandwich combo around this block and all their food is halal. Although the chicken sandwich isn't as crispy as that of Texas, it's still good in my book! Their french fries are basically buffed up versions of Petey's (Another Burger Fast Food Chain) Fries which is awesome! Definitely coming back here and I highly suggest anyone around the area to give this place a try as well. Keep up the awesome work guys! read more

Got a platter with half gyro and half chicken. Fries were excellent. The salad can get lost. Definitely get extra white sauce. Ultimately 100% worth it. Best $10 I ever spent in Astoria, NY. read more

Was hopeful that this place would be reasonably priced and delicious but unfortunately it was not. I've definitely had better and cheaper food from a truck. (No shade to food trucks) I had the mixed meat platter with falafel balls. I had a hard time trying to eat the whole plate because it just didn't taste right. I got take out once and got delivery once too, both times I got chicken over rice, and it's really good. And the portion size is def fit for 2 people! But the only drawback is they charge excessively for delivery, because my $7.99 order came to $18 with tax and tips and delivery fee, so watch out. read more

Quite honestly one of the greatest restaurants to ever happen to me. Their chicken over rice platter is pure glory. Mac and cheese bites ? Heck yeah. I was steady ordering from this place weekly. Amazing portions. Fast delivery. Literally couldn't ask for more. But alas... I moved to Brooklyn and now they don't deliver to me. Their food is so good! I ordered 3 times this week alone! The burgers are great! The meat is fresh, well cooked and seasoned just right. The condiments are fresh and neatly cut, it's not messy. The fries are delicious, seasoned very well, crispy outside with a yummy mashed potato inside. The chicken over rice was great and flavorful as well as the lamb over rice. The BBQ wings were awesome even when I had the left overs the second day, they were still good and crispy. The chicken nuggets are so good, well seasoned, and with a very crispy exterior, with white meat inside. The food is great, neatly delivered (no spills, or messy burgers etc.), and tastes awesome! Good food is hard to come by these days so I had to drop a review. Now if you are looking extraordinary then move on because this isn't no fancy place but for your usual cravings this place is perfect. I personally love their burgers. They are big compared to other places and they fill you up which is a plus. Most importantly the burgers taste pretty good and the fries are just great. I also love their wings. It's sauced the right way so you taste the flavor. I've tried other things like the philly cheese and so on and I wasn't disappointed. They're not expensive either. This place is average nothing out of the extraordinary. It's all frozen food. We ordered buffalo wings and the wings smelled. We ordered chicken tender for my daughter and the tender was undercooked so we sent it back, the guy recooked the same tender and gave it back to us. My daughter bit into the tender as well as I touched the tender when we sent it back but he basically contaminated the entire oil to recook the same tender. The guy was on his phone the entire time. As for the sandwiches its frozen meat had better sandwiches. read more

This place is usually pretty good. I'm not sure why but today the service was atrocious.I had to wait over 35 mins for them to make my order. Initially I thought that they had to cook lamb or chicken for my order but in the end that wasn't even the reason. i wanted to try halal munchies for a long time and now with the country in lockdown i can via take out only which sucks cause the place looks colorful inside and the crowd always seems to be having fun .ok for now none of that but i still can go inside and checkout the halal americanize menu with middle eastern and greek food in the mix. from burgers , fries , gyros , salads , nuggets , tenders , mozzarella sticks , falafal with rice, and a bunch of combo platters to choose from and for some strange reason they have halal bacon which i assume is not made from pork . i did not want to order typical american diner type food so its chicken kabob with basmati rice with mix salad and with my high iq i made a brilliant pick. food is very good , they fill the plate heavy and the price is reasonable .when the semi shutdown is over i would like to sit inside halal munchies and eat in cause i made a mess inside the car and many grains of rice fell in hard to reach spots. read more
