Was visiting from Texas and had coincidently eaten at the restaurant across (Shalimar) the night before! Hole-in-the-wall looking place which is sort of perfect for in-and-out. Wow, not only the best halal burger I've had in the Bay Area, but maybe one of the best burgers period! Snagged the double hipster (bacon cheeseburger with avocado) and was in burger heaven. When it came out it was legitimately 6 inches tall, the patties looked hand made, and the bacon was thick cut. Fresh veggies and melted cheese to top it off... yeah, I'm drooling right now. We ordered the Tikka Masala wrap, traditional hot wings, honey Bbq wings, and "crazy-awesome" fries. Everything was on point and was perfect drunk food. The identity of this place will confuse you because the primary items on the menu were American cuisine (i.e. Burgers, bacon, wings, French fries etc.), but it's a halal establishment (God bless America?). The decor is minimalistic and there are quirky bottle caps littered against a cork board on the wall. It's not very clean and occasionally you will see a homeless person step inside to panhandle, but if you're in the tenderloin and don't expect at least a little discomfort then you don't belong here. The negative star is for the bathroom, the toilet was leaking and a trail of water was streaming along the ground into the eating area-gross. Other than that if you want to order some kickass wings to go, or sit down and enjoy a stick to your ribs burger after a night of indulgent drinking, this is your pit stop before calling the Uber. read more

The aoili sauce on the burger was very good, but other than that it felt like a messy In-n-Out Animal Burger. The bacon was terribly undercooked (it should not stretch like a rubber band) and the bun was soaking wet (I assume from the grease). Just overly disappointed. The parking situation isn't the best, but whatever, you're in SF, parking sucks everywhere. We managed to find parking right in the front so we're happy walking in! The place is small, congested and the walls are dirty. Okay... well that probably means it's a hole in the wall type of place where the food blows you away! We're still excited (especially when we managed to find a good table right in front of the window). We ordered and waited 30 minutes for our burgers. Again, the long wait probably means that the burger is gonna be amazing! Finally we got our burger and took a bite.... my wife and I just looked at each other... this burger is garbage. The chicken is so burnt and so dry that there's absolutely no flavor. After 2 bites of the burger, we couldn't take it. This burger was probably the worst I've ever had. I didn't have a problem with the service, the place, the parking or the wait. But to go through all of that and be given this crap, isn't worth it. read more

Saw a lot of photos of the parmesan wings (looked amazing). And they were just ok :c way too much parsley and salt, but texture was great - super crispy. The flavors on the wings were very good; I got the Garlic Parmesan, Mango Habanero, and some honey one that I'm forgetting at the moment. While the flavors were great, the wings were definitely a bit small, and somewhat overcooked. Probably a 4 star experience. However the chicken shawarma that I also ordered was completely underwhelming. Pretty bland actually, which is unusual for shawarma. We both had a bite or two and tossed the rest. I've been on a bit of a shawarma kick lately and this was probably the worst I've had in a while. Perhaps it is not fair to knock a wings place down a star for a non-wings item. As it is located in the Tenderloin district, I highly recommend taking Uber or Lyft. We made the mistake of driving and it was just not a good area to park in. Don't leave valuables inside your car! When we walked in, it was pretty empty for a Tuesday afternoon. We ordered the Chili Lime wings and Spicy Lemon pepper. 12 for $9 wings .. not too bad but barely any meat on the wings and flavors were okay. The service was good and the owner was very nice. This place had OK wings, they were crispy but the original spicy flavor were not actually spicy. We also tried the salt and pepper and the honey garlic which tasted as expected. The odd thing was that they gave us ranch salad dressing packets that were a little too thin for wings. There were still a few quills in one of the wings and the chicken definitely tasted fresh. We also got the tandoori quesadilla, which was large, cheesy and floppy and I consider it the redeeming factor in this review. The achari wrap was also solid, though it was exactly the same as the one served by the previous restaurant in this location. Went around 6:30 in the evening on a Saturday and it was really crowded. The people are really nice and accommodating, though, so we stayed. The wings are absolutely delicious. Clearly they take pride in their work. The lemon pepper was so good! Very flavorful and crispy, but the meat was still juicy. Garlic parmesan, which is usually my go-to flavor, was out of this world. The actual chicken pieces are kind of small, but they give a generous amount of fries to go with it. I highly recommend giving this place a try. read more

There are so few halal wings spot in SF. Wings Plus quickly become one of my favorite places for food, so defiantly a regular customer here. The location is great, right by downtown very convenient, It's an awesome foodie destination. You literally have halal burgers and wings at your fingertips and lots of options. Once you walk in, you approach the counter, order your food and choose a table to sit at. After the meal is done, you pay up front. The staff is super nice and friendly. They actually give some good recommendations that helps determine the meal. The service was really good, fast and friendly. Really nice cozy place to hang with friends and family!
