Little storefront on the corner of a small shopping center. Walked in, and the guy behind the counter was very pleasant. Ordered two, double meat burritos. I was excited to see how heavy these burritos were, especially for $33 bucks, from a hole in the wall type place. Got it back to the van and broke into it. The flavor was good - ham off the bone. The chunks were great. The salsa, spot-on. I just don't know if I can justify $33 bucks for two burritos, with double meat. To me, that's how a regular burrito should be filled. But sadly, that is now called a double meat burrito. I understand inflation, and we're all feeling it, but it's a burrito. How can people afford this?! We're paying plated food prices for street food! Rant finished. Any way, I can't say I'll be back. But, if you can afford it, and want a decent burrito, this is your spot.

Absolutely amazing! We typically order through GrubHub but this week we ended up going to the shop. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was such a cute spot, especially how they have it decorated for Christmas... a bunch of piglets.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the double meat and the original burrito, which once again were amazing. I don't recall her name, but she offered a sample of the soups (split pea and 3 bean)... and WOWWWW they were both delicious. My in laws ended up going later that day and bought both soups. Loved the service and food has always been delicious.

...my car just drove in here on my way back to work. Been here only once before when they first opened and I recall NOT being a fan. Let's give it one more try... Read some reviews and complaints about their breakfast burrito being expensive for what you get, but note this is chunks of REAL ham here, not bits of lunch meat. (you can tell) So, for $13.25, you get a nice sized BB, not filled with only potatoes. I asked for it to be cut in half and was stuffed before finishing half. It's tasty with a nice blend of ingredients that are all mixed together on the flat iron grill. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is basically a "to go" place as there are only a few places to sit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They also serve ham based soups and sandwiches for lunch. Took a split pea soup "to go" for lunch and already ate that too! LOL It's good and the staff is really friendly. Making a mental note that I like it here.

We were in town to shop at the Golden West Flea Market when my son got a hankering for a breakfast burrito. Yelp produced two places of interest: some spot that we could not find, and this place, which was easy to find. The Glows: It's a 15 year-old family-run business and you feel the hospitality immediately. In the short time we were there, five customers came in and ordered the most popular item on the menu, the Original Breakfast Burrito. I sensed that the place had a loyal local following. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a public restroom in the back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Grows: [[HIGHLIGHT]]No seating. You can stand at one of the two tall tables outside. Not easy to eat there with a light breeze blowing our stuff around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The lady inside, who was very helpful and friendly, suggested that we go and eat at a nearby park. Not a lot of coffee choices, just one self-pump carafe with regular. Lovely burrito shop that's family owned. Just recently came across this place with my gf and it was a delightful experience. The kind lady was welcoming and gave us good recommendations. We ordered their famous burrito and an avocado one. Both tasted bomb and the spicy salsa added a nice kick. They also provide other exotic hot sauces to your disposable. I like to drown my burrito in hot sauce. Overall, would recommend this spot for a quick and good burrito in the morning before work. People come thru and support the locals!

I've heard plenty about how this place had one of the best breakfast burritos in Orange County, and I usually don't make it out this deep so when I found myself in the area, I knew I had to give it a shot. The place is a low-key joint, with just a couple of standing tables outside and an ordering counter inside, but don't let that turn you off from the amazing food they serve. One bite into the breakfast burrito, and I was in heaven. It's nothing complex, your standard mix of potatoes, eggs, veggies, and ham, but true to their name, their ham is outstanding. It's not your cheap grocery store processed junk; it's the real deal like you would expect from a holiday roast with great texture and juiciness that you would expect from a fancy joint. It almost made me rather have a ham sandwich so that I could just taste the flavor of the ham directly -- and I'm definitely considering just getting a plate of it next time. That's no knock on the breakfast burrito, which was absolutely divine, but it's that delicious ham that really seals the deal. The price is a bit expensive in terms of quantity to price ratio, but that's because the food is quality. You get what you pay for. This place is out of the way for me, but I'm already making plans to come back. TIP: Double meat burrito is a satisfying meal that doesn't overwhelm you like most breakfast burrito places. That's not because of the quantity but rather because the ingredients aren't trash.

Food: Got just the OG breakfast burrito for $13+. It isn't the biggest burrito I've ever had, but had some adequate size. Honestly, it was pretty standard. Our first time here, I definitely see us coming back soon in the future. Walking in it seems simple but it has a lot of character and history. On one of the walls they had pictures of the owners and team members. They have newspaper clippings and a dedication to Uncle Bob. You know it's a popular place when they have a ton of merch. There was something to look at in every corner. Tim had helped me with my order, he was super nice and helpful. It was easy to ask him questions. I felt like I've know him a while. Regulars there were providing me with tips and how long they've been going there. I ordered: 1. OG Breakfast burrito - This was delicious and flavorful. You get a little bit of everything with every bite. I heard someone order extra crispy hashbrowns and I did the same. That extra crunch gave it more texture. 2. Breakfast sandwich on sourdough - Simple and satisfying. I could easily get full on just 1/2. 3. Ham cakes - Never had anything like it before but it was tasty. Tim was telling me that the chipotle ranch was originally for this alone but people started putting it on everything. This sticks to your ribs and fills you up. 4. Secret menu "Tim Special " - I'm not sure if there's a name for it but that's what I'm calling it. Tim told me it was cheddar, swiss, and pepper jack toasted on the grill and the then places tortilla. The meat choice is up to you. He provided me with different variations. I chose the cornbeef with avocado. When I took it out of the bag it had some weight to it. First few bites and I was sold. This is pure perfection. I highly recommend you to try this whether you want breakfast meats or lunch. 5. Corn chips- This was good. I think the guy overcharged me for this. I added it last minute. The sign said $1.50 dude charged me $6. He was telling me it comes with salsa after the fact but I just wanted the chips. I added this last minute when my food was coming out 6. Cookies - Do not miss out on these sweet treats. Tim told me this is locally made in Costa Mesa. We tried chocolate chip and smores. It had crispy edges, nice and buttery, smores were nice and gooey in the middle. Wish I bought more for the drive home lol. It did not last because it was that good. A great experience and will be back soon. I can't believe we didn't know about this place sooner.

This breakfast burrito spot is so successful that they opened a second location in Long Beach in 2022. They also offer Ham 'n Scram merchandise like hats and shirts. [Parking]: Easy strip mall parking with plenty of spots. [Process]: Many customers ordered ahead of time for pickup as there are no indoor dining tables and this is strictly a takeout spot. I actually just ended up eating my burrito in my car. I walked in, ordered on the spot, and waited about 10-15 minutes since everything is made to order. Customers can also ask the staff for a free sample of their split pea soup. Personally, I thought it tasted just alright. [Menu]: They are known for their signature original breakfast burrito and split pea soup. Due to rising egg prices, there's a posted temporary egg surcharge of 1 egg = $0.50 and 2 eggs = $0.80. *** Original breakfast sandwich (ham, bacon, egg, cheese, hash, onion, bell pepper - $13): The burrito comes with a side of salsa. It was a cheesy ham burrito with no tater tots or potatoes which I actually loved. What really made it stand out was the homemade salsa - super flavorful with a spicy kick and not overly sour. The salsa elevated the burrito to a whole new level. *** While the breakfast burrito is slightly more expensive than other popular spots, you definitely get what you pay for as their burritos are top-notch with killer homemade salsa.

This place is hands down amazing even if its a small hole in the wall place! The owner is very welcoming right away which makes the atmosphere 100% They do not skimp on the meat here so bring an appetite (double meat was 10$ WORTH EVERY PENNY) Small corner business, with not much seating though! I will keep coming back and I love the salsa !.. I was not able to finish the double meat burrito and the owner offered to wrap it up for me to go! Very friendly :) read more

This review is long over due! Been here a few times and it is consistently good! We recommend the breakfast burrito and the soups, any soups, they are all good! Please stop raising the prices so we can frequent more often, but keep the quality the same, we know...hard to do! You will not be disappointed coming here, it's a small location but the food is great and the service is super friendly! Looking forward to next time! Yum! read more

Best breakfast burritos in town! Just tried Ham 'n Scram for the first time today and was very pleased. I came in right when they opened on a Sunday and was greeted by Forest (the owner) who was a very cool guy. I tried the breakfast burrito because of what I had heard on Yelp and some of my Wives co-workers. I love good breakfast burritos (not those tooth picks from Del Taco) so I'm a bit of a critic when it comes to how good they are. Ham 'n Scram has a perfect mix of meat,eggs,hash browns,onions,green peppers and cheese. I haven't had a chance to try anything else yet but Forest and the Yelp'ers have said that the Split pea soup is good, so ill be going back to try some with a Corned beef sandwich. I wouldn't give a 5 star review without trying more than 1 thing on the menu but they get the extra star right away because of how nice the owner is and the fact that its a family business. I always try to support a family business that is run right and cares about the quality of the food and the customers that eat it. If you live in the area give them a try and you wont regret it! read more

awesome lil breakfast place, i am a big breakfast burrito fan and i was excted to find a place that specilized in them I had the basic breakfasst burrito and it was delicious usuallly the ingridents all meld together and you cant taste specific parts of it, but with this one you could. everything worked well together but also stood out individually. and the staff is very nice read more

Came in here a few days ago, and had to write a positive review. First off, the service I received was excellent. Very kindly greeted, I was welcomed and introduced to the concept and the menu. I went with the standard ham breakfast burrito. I took it with me to go, and was given a free soup sample before I left. Needless to say, i will be back for more of the split pea soup. The burrito was excellent. Not your traditional "Mexican" breakfast burrito, but more of an Americanized take on the classic. Really an excellent breakfast provided by an excellent establishment. They really went above and beyond my expectations. Will be coming back. read more

Small quaint dive right off the 405 in Westminster, CA. Their breakfast burrito is the so damn scrumptious. It's huge and real tasty. Something about the super flavorful ham they use. Also, the split pea soup is very good. Their salsa is just OK. I'm more of a fan of that roasted chili type of salsa but that's my preference. They're also very friendly. Cheers... read more

Great place for breakfast. Open early. Call ahead to place your order or go inside and order. There are only about 3 or 4 tables inside so you will probably be more inclined to take it with you. Either way you're gonna get a great made breakfast meal and probably a fantastic conversation with Forrest, the guy behind the counter. The second time I went there he remembered my name and my order. The first time I went I got the breakfast burrito with no onions/peppers. The second time I forgot to request no veggies, and it was probably the best thing I could have done. The burrito was by far better than the first and superior to any other burrito I've had from anywhere else, and I'm a pretty avid breakfast burrito person if I may say so myself. Prices are mediocre but worth it. Plus make sure you pay a visit to the hot sauce bar before you leave. Will be back for more many more times in the future. read more

they toasted their hash brown so it gives a smokey flavor to the burritos... its such a huge portion that you can really share with 2 people... they are also very nice they offer us free samples of soup since it was our first time coming there.. will def come back read more

I went in the other day for the first time ever and the owner was super nice. I had the Burrito and the ham cakes! Omg so good must try both!!!! The owner even have me some split pea soup to try and give to my 1yr old. The owner said he hasn't had a baby that didn't like it yet. He was right my son loved it and I loved it. The food was great, service was great and the price was good. We will definitely be coming back! read more

great place! location is near me. parking is small but when I go its usually not full. the other stores next door are very slow enough that there are hardly ever any customers parking there when I come. the price is average. it isn't the cheapest but I can afford a meal there for sure on a student budget. I just cant afford it everyday though. the owner is very friendly. he tries to remember everyone's name and so far he is doing a really good job at it. he talks to everyone that comes in. he makes you feel like he's good friends towards everyone. no one is rejected in his place. when I place an order over the phone I can never recognize is voice. kinda reminds me of bob's burgers but the owner here is mr. forest. the food is how it should be. tasty and hot. I would like state that I personally would like to see more in my ham and egg wrap larger and im not negatively putting it down. just prefer more size to the item because its pretty good. its my favorite. there are minimal seats inside. no outside seating. if its busy there are no seats and you may need to wait or take togo. the place is clean. they have pictures on the wall but he has yet to ask me to put one up of me. not that I want to, but I have no clue how it started or why he no longer does it. I would recommend this place for everyone. all ages and races would like it. the food is simple and good. read more

My go-to place for breakfast burritos! The burritos are phenomenal! I usually get the Ham n' Egg Burrito, and I loveee the sauce that comes with it. I have yet to try their brunch menu. What makes this place really great besides the amazing food is the service as well! I've never felt so welcomed anywhere else! Forrest, the owner I'm assuming, is funny and witty and I enjoy my encounters with him. Overall, this place makes you feel at home, I get both good vibes and good food! Highly recommend! read more

Was here a month ago visiting from NJ. Ham 'n Scram was close to my hotel, I stopped in on a whim and didn't regret it. The burritos are enormous, the staff is super friendly. I stopped in both mornings I was in town, and unfortunately missed out on the Ham Cake (think crab cakes with ham instead and with this spicy sauce) that they make daily. Highly recommend, easy to see why there are so many regulars. read more

First timer here ordered breakfast burrito it was amazing and Hugh my friend ordered double breakfast burrito even bigger salsa is right on they also have yummy sandwiches and soups I will surly be coming back oh did I forget to mention the service is great and so friendly thank you Forest for making us feel so welcome well went back again and wasn't as good and forest was grumpy and stressed out my daughter said she wouldn't go back because he was so rude and I won't either read more

Ham 'n scram is a family-owned restaurant established in 2010 by father-son duo Forrest and Jeremy Frederick. The menu is deliciously simple with premium quality bone-in smoked ham featured in the signature dishes. Enjoy breakfast available all day with the original breakfast burrito, breakfast plates, breakfast sandwiches and the unique ham cakes (like crab cakes only better 'cause it's ham). Ham 'n scram's lunch menu features handcrafted sandwiches and house-made soups including the specialty split pea.

Meet the Business Owner: Forrest F.

Forrest, the Man with the Plan, is a local Orange County Resident for over 20 years having moved here from Michigan in 1987. Forrest has a sales background selling Communication Equipment and Conferencing solutions for over 25 years. In travels throughout Southern California and the Western States, he noticed that quality ham offerings were missing from most restaurant and sandwich shop menus. Forrest loves to eat good food and enjoyed a small sandwich shop in the Detroit area that specialized in ham & corned beef sandwiches with two soups. Simple, right? That offering was the genesis of Ham 'n Scram, a simple menu offering with ham as the centerpiece. Forrest has no restaurant experience, but loves daily contact and interaction with people, in a sales role. So, with limited start-up funds, Ham 'n Scram was launched in September 2010 in Westminster, CA and has been growing since. Forrest didn't know the restaurant business, but knew people everywhere like good food at a fair price.

It wasn't cool, and it completely ruined what is usually a great family tradition. It hurts to say this after 10 years of loyalty, but if you have a big party, don't go here. They clearly cannot handle it, or simply do not want the business.

I almost skipped it, because usually the best breakfast burritos come from the Mexican place that makes you wonder about their "A" rating. But I was starving and everyone kept raving about their breakfast burritos. Let's just say, if I'm ever in Westminster again, I will be back. I ordered a double meat burrito. When it came, I thought it was small. Then I picked it up and noticed that what is lacked in obvious size, it made up for in weight. The first bite was all I needed to know. Oh, so good. I'm not usually a ham fan, but this might have converted me. On top of having one of the best breakfast burritos in my life, I got a chance to meet the charming Forrest. Nice guy, definitely a talker. I'm not sure if I was giving off the "FEED ME NOW" vibe or if the service is always that quick, but I didn't have much of a wait. I was kind of sad that I couldn't get hot tea, only iced. I picked a soda instead. Not quite as good, but it worked. If you are in Westminster, or even kind of close, stop here for breakfast. You get amazing food, decent prices and a nice conversation. read more

Service here is so slow. Plan on waiting 20-30 minutes just for an average burrito. The burritos are big, but the price reflects that. Taste was rather bland. Nothing special and you'll need the extra salsa to make it taste decent and not dry. I paid for the extra small cup of salsa, but they still messed up my order and gave me only one. The extra salsa should have been free since one they give isn't enough. 3 stars for the average taste burrito. Minus 1 star for screwing up the order, being stingy with the salsa, and charging me for the extra salsa they forgot to give me. I doubt I'll come back. read more

A real filling breakfast that doesn't take a bite out of your wallet. Fresh food and friendly service. Forrest will start your day with a smile. They have 2 excellent chefs, Jeremy and Rob. I go there 3 times a week and get a burrito or english muffin sandwich to start my day. Always taste great. The salsa is the best. Chili Wednesday is the best too.keep up the good work forrest and best of luck. The difference between Ham n Scram and other fast food places is that Ham n Scram uses all fresh ingredients. I stopped by Ham & Scram on my way to the beach, and wow, what a gem! The breakfast burrito I had was simply amazing--by far the best in the area. I look forward to my ham'n scram breakfast burritos although it's pretty much the only thing I ever get. I've tried the ham cakes but they tasted a bit dry, not really bad but not my thing. I've never really had ham cakes before but I think crab cakes beat em. This is a place with a pig focus. Besides the breakfast burritos the other highlight of the ham'n scram is the older guy that runs it. He's incredibly friendly and puts in an effort to get to know you. For some reason I found it pretty entertaining to hear him rave about his pea soup. read more

I've eaten here a few times and I just need to say the food is great when it is prepared well. Unfortunately, I've noticed that not all burritos are created equal. The last time I ate here my burrito was full of black little pieces that weren't from pepper. From what I could tell & TASTE was that it was charred pieces from the grill from burnt hash brown. Hopefully, they read the reviews and do a better job cleaning that grill. Maybe they were just having a bad day. Definitely worth checking out and I'll be back. read more

Best place to get a breakfast burrito. They're loaded and fill you up. Packed with meat, cheese, and eggs. What more can you ask for? Definitely throw on their salsa too. It gives the burrito the perfect touch. Can't forget about the owner, Forest. He's friendly, attentive, and will put a smile on your face. You can also call in orders and pick them up too which is a plus because this place can be packed at times. Definitely stop by this hole in the wall and you won't regret it. read more

The owner's sweet, really... but i'm here to review the breakfast burrito. I got the normal burrito and my boyfriend got the double meat. The burrito is LOADED with meat. and i'm talking about the standard one. There is absolutely no reason for a double meat burrito.. There honestly isn't a whole lot of flavor because literally, it's just meat. Their salsa is also very sub par. I wish I could give it a higher review, but I just can't. I decided to give this place a chance since I was in the area with some friends. If you're looking for an amazing breakfast burrito, Ham n Scram is where it's at! Their Double Meat Burrito comes loaded with Chunks of Ham, Bacon, Egg, Cheese, Hash, Onions and Bell Peppers. Really amazing!! The customer service is excellent as well! They'll also help you out if you have questions about the menu. Overall, it is a must try spot! read more

This food spot has a horrible employees named Nate who spits in your food and doesn't wash his hands after using the bathroom. He's disrespectful and a liar. Him and his cousin jumped a 14 yr old boy in high school. His uncle should be ashamed of employing him and he should be fired immediately.
