This place was so good!! Came here on a long weekend and it was quite busy (around 1:30 PM) , but we got our orders in and it was ready within 15-20 mins. No place to sit inside, but there are a few tables outside the shop and also lots of benches and park space around downtown! This is a super casual spot but the burgers are incredible I ordered the BBQ chicken burger and the meat was so well seasoned and juicy. The bun is also big and fluffy, which I loved. Most of the shops on this Sausalito stroll are extraordinarily touristy and the restaurants (and their outdoor areas) were full to the brim around lunch time. Enter in Hamburgers Sausalito. The honey was feeling too hot after wandering around in the sun for a bit too long, so we stopped in for some icy cold sugar teas to help with the heat. The prices were great for the area and it was easy to just come in and pick something up. However yesterday I had a terrible experience, and I want to report it because I am pretty sure that it is not what the owner expects to offer for the customers. I made my order of two burgers, and by any mistake of the employees the second was skipped. I understand that things like this might happen, and I usually am tolerant with that. The problem was the cashier's behavior being extremely rude - actually he was rude since the beginning with me and a couple of other people as well - and not working to get the problem solved as soon as possible. He put me back at the end of the line, and when the second burger was ready - adding things I asked to not add -, the first burger was cold. As I just wanted to get out of there, I got the hot and cold burgers and left, swearing that I will never be back. Terrible service. Made my day worse. I have procrastinated getting all my reviews done for a while. We visited a while back while on vacation to San Francisco. We had asked for some great local places to try and were told to go find the Hamburger place in Sausalito. We made the Ferry ride over and then walked to find our Lunch. I must say the overall experience was great. There was a line but all great places have a line. We ordered the #2 and #4 with a side of fries and sodas. The place is TINY and busy but we were able to get a seat at one of the 3 tables in the back. It was one of the best hamburgers I have ever had and was a fun experience too. I highly recommend everyone visit this spot for a burger....well unless your are a vegetarian! read more

Was really hungry and craving burgers and found this cute place while walking with my family here in Sausalito. The place is tiny and I absolutely adore it (although it's kind of hard to maneuver when it's pretty busy, in which it was not when we ordered). I ordered a cheeseburger ($11.00) while my family ordered the Hawaiian burgers ($11.50 each) and they were decent at best. When we opened the wrappers they were messy, and keep in mind we opened it right after we got them. We also got 2 orders of french fries and it was kind of cold when we ate some while walking to our car. The thing that irked me most was that when we were talking with the staff, they seemed a bit sassy and rude, but I want to just assume they were having a bad day. But right after we ordered, there was another party who came in and from what I heard them say, the employee was going to give them the Hawaiian burgers for $11 instead of $11.50. And here's the thing: we were one of the only Asian families in the area during this time and both the staff and customer are Hispanic. I'd like to assume that they were doing that because they know each other, but maybe not.
