Anybody complaining about the prices or quality of meat has clearly never been to any other restaurant in Marin county and I challenge them to find another non chain burger establishment that charges you less than 12-15 dollars for a burger in the year 2025. These guys are definitely expensive but you pay for the convenience and location. Has some of the best fries I've ever had at a burger place, burgers are nothing special but always consistent. Service is always excellent, if you manage to upset these guys you probably have an attitude/entitlement problem. (Such is the case for many in Marin) read more

Great burgers, grew up on M&G's and just moved back to town after 15 years away although every time I visited back home it was/is a must staple to hit up. This time however, totally forgot that it's cash only...It is an absolute scam that they are cash only and then charge you $3.50 to use the ATM. Absolute terrible business ethics that they get comped from the ATM provider that exceed the transactional cost of a POS system integrated with cards. What a bummer to what is actually a Marin staple. If you're going bring cash. Due to my negative experience and not feeling the "local" support, why would I come back to support this business when there are a lot more burger options around now?? There are a few great things about M/G. If you're around the area and don't want a burrito this the hamburger source. And if you're looking for something to eat after 8pm this place is open until 9. But the prices are high for what the food is. I always get the tuna melt which is probably the best deal for protein vs price. But it's not a burger. $$ and Meh overall. read more

Wow! Amazing burger!!! THEY ONLY TAKE CASH I am a big fan of non caja in restaurants and this one is going to be added to my list of favorites. I ordered a lettuce wrapped Swiss cheese burger and it was full of flavor. I love a nice juicy burger and this one was especially so. My only problem is that the burger came wrapped in almost an entire head of lettuce which was way too much and that THEY ONLY TAKE CASH. I will definitely come back with cash in my pocket to have another at some point. I didn't take a picture because I think a picture of a lot of lettuce would not help anyone decide to eat here. Did staff change here, they used to be pleasant? I've been dropping by regularly since I moved here last year and was kicked out for asking why I was being charged $23 for a burger, fries and onion rings. The register guy said there was an upcharge for grilled onions and pointed to the wall of 50 items.....when I said "maybe you should tell me it cost more, did ownership change?" He got huffy and put my money on the counter! What kinda of service is that? Could they have explained the charges and made a recommendation? Was I being wrung up for large side orders? They don't have a register screen to see what the actual charges are, something has changed here. I have been going here for 14years and not once have I been disappointed. The food is very good and the welcoming atmosphere is great. The worker are nice and they are fun to chat to. Try asking the man who's taking your order about is nice car he has been trading up for. Overall I would recommend coming here to have a good meal with your friends or family. I go here quite a bit, even though the prices are pretty high but hey, it's all organic and what not so of course the prices are going to be jacked up a bit. Mind you this place is CASH ONLY and while they do have an ATM, the withdrawal fee is $2.50. Now onto the food part. Every time I've gone here, I've gotten their "famous" bacon cheeseburger without onions, and depending on the mood I'll accompany my meal with small fries and/or a small Oreo milkshake. This comes out to roughly $12 if I recall correctly. Make sure that no matter what you order (except maybe salads), that you request special sauce one the side. This sauce is great for dipping fries in and smothering on your burger. You can treat it like ketchup. I've also once gotten a double bacon cheeseburger, which is a bit over the top, literally. The clumps of crispy, wavy bacon kept me from successfully keeping the burger together. This made it difficult to enjoy as you'd suspect. As for the faculty, I haven't spoken a word with the chefs in the back, whom you can see preparing food through a rectangular cutout in the wall. I believe, however that they only speak Spanish. They don't ever really come out of the kitchen anyways. The cashier is very friendly if you make an effort to get to know him. His name is Gonzalo and he is at the register almost 100% of the time. Upon getting to know him, he's always asking about me and what's been going on, as do I regarding his business.
