The full body scrub,(AllDeadSkinOff) steam room was amazing,we were "Steamy"! We were without clothing,I'm accustomed to massages (Nude) so I had no problem taking off my clothes to began my full body scrub and massage. The two young ladies we had made us feel comfortable. They were so willing to scrub our entire bodies with ease!! I enjoyed every minute. My partner was a little shy at first,but as we got to the massage room. All I could hear was zzzzzz! The BEST kept secret in Houston! My husband and I have been here twice now for Hammam and both times have been an amazing experience from start to finish. The entire staff is welcoming, friendly and everyone goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Your skin will be the smoothest and most glowing it's ever been! I saw this place driving by and couldn't believe it because I have always wanted to have a real Moroccan Hammam experience (it's on my vision board), plus I had some recent scarring and had been looking for a Korean spa to get the infamous body scrub there since exfoliating helps skin regenerate faster not knowing scrubs were part of the Moroccan experience too. Weeks later, I got the Hammam for 2 as a birthday gift without my friend even knowing my desire for that (it was meant to be!). When we arrived, we were promptly greeted and the vibe was so calm, so that was a good start. However, it turned from there because we were given the massage before the scrub, and from what I understand it is best after. The massage was short and there was no atmosphere like scent or sound to add to the experience, so we were concerned we had just wasted hundreds of dollars. BUT...! The Hammam scrub experience is clearly their bread and butter because that was purely awesome. Those ladies deserved every bit of their included gratuity because they went to work. This wasn't like the western world spa scrubs where they gently rub sugar/salt on your body a few times; this was a true let's go to work and wash all your life's regrets away scrub. I was baptized by black soap and a keesa mitt y'all. Seeing the dead skin roll off was so gratifying. It didn't hurt at all, and we both felt ahhh-mazing after. You will have on disposable undies so it's not a full nude experience but just a heads up for ladies so you can mentally prepare. The argan oil had my hair and skin glowing. I may or may not have demanded everyone I interacted with touch my skin for days after (ok I did). I'm assuming the rushed massage at the start was just due to a scheduling issue, but it would have been nice to have had that explained and been offered a discount to come back for the proper service or received something complimentary like an Argan oil product and the scrub mitt. Since I was looking for something more regular anyhow, that would've secured the deal for me. So 2 stars for the massage but 5 for the Hammam scrub experience. I'll try some other scrub options around town but may be back here as a regular if there aren't any better given Houston's limited options. read more

I have had the following treatment with excellent results: Hamam: thorough, relaxing and simultaneously invigorating Argan oil treatment: soothing, left my skin supple and soft. A recommended upgrade Foot scrub: Rhonda scrubbed the daylights out of them--they were smooth for days! This spa was amazing! My husband and I got the couples special 90 minute massage. From the time we got there we sat in the beautiful Moroccan waiting area and were promptly escorted to our massage room. Got our robes and escorted to the wash/steam room. We got the skin wash of our lives and sat in a steam room. The ladies were extremely professional and attentive. Sally went to work exfoliating all the dead skin I had. Then we were dried off and escorted back to our massage room. Sally's hands are magic and with deep pressure was able to massage away all my knots and that is no easy feat! My skin tends to be sensitive and there products didn't seem it aggravate it. I actually was glowing by the end. I was so impressed and relaxed that I can't wait to come back. This was one of the best experience I had at a spa! Ask for Gloria she is amazing lady that gave me a massage from head to toe and the skin treatment! So here is a little bit about me: Usually when I go to get a massage or a skin exfoliation the place is cold, the creams ingredients so so... i mean not so bad, but not here they adequate the room to your preference; The spa is so warm and welcoming, plus they give you privacy and once in the room is clean and smell good! Also every cream or soap are made in texas by the owner and they have a few items that they bring from Morocco, everything that they apply smell so good that I had to buy them all from shampoo conditioner to body gel and they gave me a discount and a water roses gift! I think for the price they have is very reasonable! So if you are running away from chemicals to take care of your skin this is you place! Also they offer sugar waxing! Which I will have to come back to! Im telling you They do such a great job, and the skin care products are all organic, natural, made in texas, do not harm your skin! My husband and I did the hammam couples special. The hammam experience is interesting. If you're interested in it, it's worth getting. I did feel my skin was softer after and I shaved and my legs have been smoother for longer, but I wouldn't get it again. The employee who did my hammam and my husband's massage was terrible. Absolutely no description, acted like she didn't want to be there, no interaction, and my husband said it's the worst massage he's had. On the flip side, I had Olivia for my massage and it was the best I've ever had! I would rate her an easy 10/10 and if we go back, it will be for her massage. The environment seemed authentic and the tea was good. I feel like the wait times were far too long and even though we had an appointment, they were 20 minutes late setting things up. I also think for those who have the hammam for the first time, some explanation of the process would be nice instead of just awkwardly waiting and not knowing what's next or where to go. At the end, another employee did ask for feedback and it does seem like they're receptive to improvement and that was nice! read more

Five stars for an excellent scrub job, amazingly good and hospitable service, clean facility, and efficient service. This place is BEAUTIFUL inside. This is the second time my group of girlfriends have held a bachelorette/ pre-wedding spa day at the Hammam Spa. The first time was about three years ago, and then today. We brought in finger foods and sweets on our own trays & plates and set them out in the lounge area for snacking while our friends went in and out of the treatments. This time was a little different than a couple years ago, partly because they have renovated their facility. We had the standard hammam treatment which started with a bathrobe, some skin treatment, steam room, then a serious scrubbing followed by washing off and optional hair washing, then lotion, then relaxing and snacking. Because we had a handful of people, we shared the rooms 3-4 women at a time. It's definitely a bonding experience in the tradition of the old-school bathhouse because you're in various stages of undress in the same room. You have the option to wear the paper bikini that is provided or to wear your own underwear or swimsuit. IMO don't wear a cute swimsuit because it will get soap/oils on it. It's also better if you don't wear makeup to your appointment because you'll sweat it off or it will get smeared. The scrubbing is my FAVORITE part and my attendant was so amazing and attentive. She made my skin feel ssooooo clean!!! It is very nice to have a spa where hijabi women can go and move about freely. In my experience, all of the employees that work inside the actual spa are female, but there is one male present at the front desk (separate front area). So IMO the one caveat to the experience is that the curtain that separates the inner spa lounge from the public front lobby is sheer, and there is a male employee right on the other side of the curtain. Otherwise, the experience was awesome and the folks at Hammam Spa are very diligent, gracious, and really terrific at scrubbing. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience. read more

I had an amazing experience!!! It was my first ever spa treatment so I wasn't sure what to do and what not to. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions before, during and after the treatment. Medina was my aesthetician and she was exceptionally good at her job. She kept making sure I was comfortable with little things like the water temperature in the spa room or pressure while exfoliating my body. She explained to me all the steps in the treatment and the products she was using and their effects and benefits. I'm going to make it a monthly thing to get the treatments now. It was a relaxed and rejuvenating experience!! Other staff were friendly and professional as well! I definitely more than recommend anyone to use their services. Came here for the couple's hammam. I love couples massages and this was a very reasonable price for the amount of back-breaking labor involved. I've never had such a vigorous body scrub. You're basically naked in paper undies so you have to be comfortable laying on a stone table next to your partner while you're scrubbed and washed for the first half. Your hair is washed too. The inside of this place is beautiful. Customer service here is amazing. All of the ladies working here were so sweet. The morrocan tea was DELICIOUS! We went a got a couples massage. The hot sauna room, Hammam exfoliation scrub/wrap & the massage were all wonderful. The star of the show was definitely the Hammam exfoliation scrub/wrap. In the past I have spent 3x what I did here at Hammam at "big hotel" spas and can tell you it wasn't half as relaxing as the experience we had here. My only regret is not booking a longer massage. Hammam Spa is the ideal relaxation spot in Houston. The staff is very welcoming and professional, and the environment is amazing! It reminds me of my trip to Morocco except my Hammam treatment was a 100 percent better here than in Morocco. I am telling all my friends about this and I will definitely be back. Met with the owner who was very nice and then the young lady, (can't believe I forgot her name) took me to the back to get started. She was quite knowledgeable and very personable.
