The employees and the owner are AMAZING and they do this special exfoliating (called Hammam) where they get rid of the dead skin and this wonderful sugaring which is like wax but WAY easier as it is all natural. When I showed up for my second hammam(a year after my first), they literally gave me a Hug as I walked into the establishment. The management created a very personable experience. Went here to get a sugar wax, the ladies who performed my wax was super sweet. However I can tell it seemed they didn't know what they were doing 100%, as I informed my hairs grow in various directions. Unfortunately my private area isn't looking so pleasant or smooth as it usually does with regular wax. Let me first say, Letifa is great. I have been here a few times and enjoyed the hammam when Letifa is my therapist. I made the mistake of agreeing to another of her staff therapist today. The scrub itself was mediocre (compared to what I have previously had here). But, as we were chit-chatting in the room, I casually asked if it was safe to wax my arms and legs after my scrub -- really looking for her professional opinion. We went to another room for the waxing and with the lights on, my legs looked extremely sensitive with white scratch marks. Any ethical therapist at that point would have advised against waxing particularly after such a strong scrub. I asked her again if she thought it was safe. The woman was so intent on making an extra few bucks that she ignored me. She tried a strip first and then decided to use her fingers (no joke!) to wax my skin. In 20 years of beauty services, I have never seen that unhygienic approach! I asked her again if it was safe in her professional opinion, and her response was "Well, it's normal to bleed when getting waxed". WHAT! Since when is it "normal" to bleed when getting waxed?! That's when I jumped out of the bed and told her to just stop. So unprofessional and unethical. On my way out, they slapped a mandatory 18% gratuity! UGH. I like the hammam but so disappointed to not be able to trust my therapist. read more

This place is your usual spa place, the ladies are a little bit too harsh on the massage, me and my boyfriend took the couple's massage, I have a sensitive back that's why. but I needed to crack my back and on the sheet that I was given so one can put what we need, I put for the lady to walk in my back, I'm a tiny person, this wouldn't really be possible but I needed the pressure, so instead of actually walking in my back the lady put one foot at a time back and forth her balance so she wouldn't hurt me. I was pretty frustrating since I'm ticklish and I would jump when she would hit a spot, but she bear with me. It was pretty outstanding! Me and my boyfriend came out like we were just reborn!!! First off, those who gave this spa 1 star are obviously malicious people. My experience here was nothing less than AMAZING! The owners are very sweet and accommodating. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, we were treated with so much hospitality. We were greeted by I believe the owner, we filled out the information needed for our appointment (couples massage) and we proceeded to follow her into our room where we undressed and prepared for the hammam. The black soap was so watered down that I had no lather or soap suds. I mentioned it to the lady that was doing my service and either she didn't understand me or she chose to ignore me. After applying the soap, I was put in the steam room and it seemed they forgot about me as I was in there for easily about 30 minutes. Let me not even mention what they term hair wash...it was so sub par. I thought maybe it was just my experience as I was the first for the day but the person that went with me had the same experience. Oh and when you pay they automatically add tip, at a premium percentage might I add. Why am I tipping at such a high rate for watered down black soap that took no dirt off my skin as well as sitting in a steam room for 30 minutes. Never again. That is for sure. read more

Very disappointed in this Hammam Spa experience. I booked a couples spa package the week before Thanksgiving that was supposed to be for 120 min however the service was only 75 minutes (this includes the time it took me to change clothes and put my clothes back on), so really everything was only 60 minutes. They don't have a locker or anywhere secure for you to leave your purse, while you are receiving services. The two ladies who did me and my boyfriend's scrub were nice and initially the scrub was great but I broke out into rashes later that night. The lady who did my massage clearly was sick because she wore a mask the whole time and kept coughing and even had to leave the room for 5 minutes during my massage. I understand that this time of the year people are sick but you shouldn't be working on others if thats the case. It ruined the whole massage experience which is even worse because the massage was underwhelming and rushed and then when we finished they flipped the bright lights on and didn't offer us any water afterwards (which is customary for a massage). When I commented to the front desk that I booked a 120 minute couples package she said that it could be "up to 120 minutes" even though nowhere on the website or where I confirmed payment said "up to 120 minutes". Very disappointing experience and I will not return nor recommend anyone to this place. I did not get my money's worth and had rashes the next day and sickness germs. read more

Went there today for the couples treatment. I have never been to a spa, and had only received one massage in my life from a friend getting her licensing hours. What a treat! Very glad my boyfriend and I tried a new place today! Everything was beyond my expectations! Starting off our masseuse opening the door once we were walking into the Spa. Which honestly what place does that now in days. Then we were invited to sit at the lounge while we were filling one simple sheet. After that it was an amazing experience. Everything to our masseuse giving us a shower, relaxing on a steam shower, to the masseuse scrubbing every inch of dead skin off our WHOLE body, to shampooing and conditioning my curly thick hair, a little facial, amazing massage and at the end a hot tea waiting for us at the lounge. The steam room and exfoliation treatment were great and our skin felt awesome after that portion. The massage was just as good and we both felt so refreshed and relaxed afterwards. The ladies that took care of us, Latifa and Floria, were so personable and made us feel at ease through the whole process, given that it was our first time.
