BEST COFFEE IN LIBERTY! They have beans from Counter Culture! I go regularly and just get a regular coffee with cream! Good price for great coffee! Very good coffee with a clean and cute atmosphere. They serve counter culture coffee and also have oddly correct beans as well. Thankfully, they do serve cream and made my breve cappuccino perfectly. I would like to see more seating and more comfy seating. Also the baristas came across a little more pretentious than friendly. But I guess I'm not there for the baristas. So, normally I'm a Caribou guy. I don't like Starbucks and I have no idea why people like the Roastarie. This place was awesome! Great customer service, great coffee (both regular and espresso), and great food. Definetly get the Rasberry Mocha (didn't sound good but really was), a burrito, or the cinnamon roll. I love the Liberty Square and enjoy seeing unique businesses once again. I was excited to visit Hammerhand Coffee. I've walked past it multiple times and finally drove specifically to the square to grab a cup of coffee and take a break from holiday shopping. The atmosphere is fantastic. That's about it! The coffee was good and so was the Chai Tea Latte my daughter ordered. The pastry's looked yummy and the staff was friendly. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the prices are a little on the high side for the size of drinks that you get and I'm not a fan of the seating set-up. Hammerhand is easily the best coffee in Liberty and in the Northland. Plus, the environment has a great feel to it.

In the last five years or so Kansas City has become a well respected hub for fine coffee and cafés alike. Hammerhand is no exception to this, they do everything extraordinarily well and you can tell the passion in their work. They choose some of the finest vendors for their beans and make a lot of their ingredients from scratch in house, this leads to astounding quality and you can tell. I'm frankly shocked to find reviews that are three stars on this page because they frankly do not know what they are talking about. Hammerhand also pairs up with many local vendors who produce delicious confectionery pieces and have in-house food guests often who offer many tasty local foods. Hammerhand deserves no less than five stars in my opinion especially if you think about how much Liberty has needed a place like this for quite some time. If you want cheap coffee go to Dunkin' Donuts or elsewhere although it's really no more expensive than Starbucks and the quality is unmatched, there's no comparison for the coffee they provide. These guys are doing things right and it shows in their product. Go check them out. read more
