I know it's a new restaurant, and I'll give it another try sometime. But I had to wait 50 minutes for a carry-out order. Who has time to do that? They ran out of soup. They ran out of rice. The line of food servers was in absolute chaos, with poor communication among the team. That appeared to be a lack of training, but the men who appeared to own the place stood around and talked with people rather than pitching in. (That seemed odd to me.) As for the food, the gyro meat was good, but the tzaziki sauce was really bland and not authentic. The fries (a substitute since they ran out of rice) were meh. The salad was okay. The dolmathes (rice-filled grape leaves - no meat, like many have) were fine, but I've had better. I think the customer service was perhaps more disappointing than the food. If I had kept a customer waiting nearly an hour (while other people who came later were getting their food and leaving, by the way) and kept telling her that they'd run out of food she ordered an hour ago, I would do *something* to try to redeem the situation. Throw in a piece of baklava, comp the dolmathes, or give the customer a coupon for 10% off the next order. Something. Instead, one of the women on the line asked if she could hug me... I guess to apologize? It was bizarre and creepy for a stranger to do that. I will try it again but am not rushing back. read more
