Got delivery, good stuff, reasonable prices. My favourite was the very tasty pork souvlaki pita which was a good size portion with sauce, tomatoes, pork chunks onions in a warm pita and I had fries. They also serve beer and wine to go. Decent stuff, although they could do to update their menu which carries some items they no longer have, plus maybe cater to simple requests like asking for lemon juice on the Greek salad which apparently they didn't have (surprising for a Greek place). Anyhow overall it's a good place, big menu with Greek and also some burger / chicken type food and some kids menu items. We got takeaway and it was ready super quickly. What a yummy find for lunch. We were looking for a casual place to eat in July 4th while taking a drive out in eastern long island and found this restaurant on Yelp. It looked beautiful and inviting from the outside so we decided to try it. It was just as appealing inside. The staff was friendly and answered all of our questions with a smile. We had chicken Slouvaki bowls and falafels. Both were wonderful. They were made to order so the chicken was hot and moist. All ingredients were fresh. The fries were just okay but the sandwiches made up for it. The manager was nice to bring us out some baba ghanoush to try with our pita. I thought it was good but have nothing to compare it to since I've never tried it elsewhere. In summary, great food and good vibes as I recommend this newish restaurant when you are in Hampton bays. read more

Have to re-review this place. Years ago, 5 stars, now tho? What the heck happened to this place? Super clean, staff seemingly friendly, but food quality has really fallen off sadly. This used to be one of my favorite Greek places but man has it changed. The gyro meat is just bland and dry. Eaten here twice in the past 2 weeks and hoped this second time would redeem the last as a one-off bad experience but sadly not. I got a greek salad with gyro meat and it was not good. The dressing was creamier (and not in a good way) than any Greek dressing I've ever had and white in color... not to be confused with tzatziki. Also, no side of pita? I would probably give this 1 star but I remember how good this place used to be. I hope ownership can figure out what's going on here and get back to what made this place great. That gyro meat really needs improvement. It should have more flavor, thicker shavings, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. And that dressing... I don't even know. Get rid of whatever that white dressing is and go with a traditional Greek dressing. Something with more vinegar or something. I'd LOVE to go back and see improvements, I'd happily give this place 5 stars again. I will say, dessert is good, and place is clean. read more

This is a real find for casual Greek fare. First of all the place is immaculate!! The staff is friendly and most helpful with a smile. The menu has lots of things to choose from. I had the burger which was very good. My husband had the chicken Souvlaki which was really off the charts. The chicken was spiced perfectly. Was excited to go to a Greek restaurant that actually had Pork Souvlaki with cubes of pork instead of slices. That may sound strange but on the east end in the Hamptons it may not exist. We had a great lunch with friendly servers and great Greek food at reasonable prices! Pork Souvlaki, Greek Salad, Lentil soup all terrific. So glad we discover this place. The only reason I am giving it two stars is the place is neat and clean and the signs are a good font. Other than that, this place is the fast food of Greek Food and any of my Greek friends would find this place an insult due to the quality of the food. The falafel was uncooked, the Gyro's were incomplete. The balaclava would make dead Greek grandmother's all around the world turn in their graves. The Greek fries, puke. I've been to Hampton Gyro and Grill twice as of this review, and both of my experiences were perfect. I got the chicken gyro with a side of fries the first time, and a buffalo chicken gyro the second time. Both were amazing, but I preferred the added spice of the buffalo chicken. The interior is a huge improvement over what it was when that location was Moe's Southwest Grill. The setup is not overcrowded, but it can still accommodate a large amount of diners. All of the staff that I've interacted with have been extremely friendly and welcoming. I hope this place stays around for a long time and I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit. read more

A gem of a find! We drove past this restaurant many times, always with the intent of stopping in. Then COVID hit and we couldn't, for about a year. With the restrictions lifted, we finally went and we are so glad we did! It's a family business and the daughter of the owner served us; she couldn't have been nicer, even offering us a taste of the meats when we couldn't decide! In the barren wasteland that is affordable casual eats on the east end, Hampton Gyro emerges as a champion of good food for low prices. The lamb gyro meat is excellent, fresh, and cooked well. The homemade pita chips are fantastic, and the whipped feta dip that we got with them was so good it might be habit forming. We got some flute shaped desserts which were soaked with honey and filled with nuts, totally delicious. The staff we interacted with were all super friendly and it's clear that the management truly cares about pleasing their customers and serving them tasty, wholesome grub. The wait was long, but that's acceptable on their first day open. I hear there was a line out the door at 10:45am, so they've been hustling and bustling all day. My girlfriend and I are definitely gonna be regulars from now on. This place is a real treat and a welcome addition to the Hamptons. read more

Hands down the best Greek place around. We live in south Hampton and make the 15 minute drive to Hampton gyro whenever we're in the mood. The Greek nachos (pita) with the whipped feta are the best thing on the menu. The falafel is delicious and the baklava is excellent as well. if you are closer to another Greek place, skip it and go here! It's worth it! read more

Went 2nd night it was open, line was out the door. All I want is to be able to get a decent gyro in theses parts, so I was really happy to hear they were opening. Ordered a classic gyro with extra yogurt sauce on the side. I didn't need the extra sauce, I just wanted to see if they would charge extra for it (they did). The gyro was generally good. A couple of things, however: 1. The pita bread was not warmed before they made the gyro, as it should be. They just took it out of the package and started making the gyro. 2. I don't know what happened with the meat. It tasted good, but it wasn't sliced into pieces as it normally is. This meat seemed almost shredded. I saw the gyro meat on the spit, so I have no idea how it got so shredded. 3. The lettuce was shredded and the tomato was diced into tiny pieces. The lettuce was acceptable like this, although I'd have preferred it to be torn. The tomato really should have been in small slices, IMO (like the meat should have been). Not horrible but not great in this manner. Also got some baklava which was pretty good but nothing special, definitely not made in house. Average prices, not cheap, not outrageous. Staff was friendly and seemed pretty efficient despite the volume of customers. Will go back again to try more dishes and possibly update this review.i read more

Pretty good. The place is well designed and has a friendly staff. Things seemed a little chaotic behind the counter and our order took a bit longer than it should have, but the place is of course still very new and the young folks working there seemed a tad inexperienced. My wife loved her gyro sandwich, and we both loved the Greek salad. But my chicken shawarma was heavy on onions and light on other flavors. I also ordered the same exact thing on two separate occasions and they were different each time. Not just the rice. The gyro meat was crumbled as opposed to being in nice manageable narrow slices. The second time I had received no tomato or onions. It would be nice if they had larger marinated tomatoes and onions. Just a preference. The taste of the food was not bad but far from great. Slightly under seasoned. But the staff are certainly showing their best efforts. There just needs to be some small changes made by management. The menu is way too big to be sustainable. Went to this place a couple of times now. First time was right after they opened and they were cranking. The food came out quick and fresh. The quality was certainly above avg for the typical gyro place and they were generous with their amounts. Went again recently, now that it has been open for a little bit and it has definitely faltered a little bit. The food wasn't as fresh to be honest. It was still ok and the quantity was good. I am probably going to visit there again seeing as how it's the only gyro place around here that I know of. But I really hope they freshen up a little bit. read more

Ordered from here a few different times. Just got the chicken souvlaki and falafel platters. Still no tahini sauce with a falafel??? No olives or feta cheese to be found anywhere??? Sure, what we got was fresh and tasted good, but it didn't resemble what we ordered. Tzatziki sauce does NOT go on a falafel thank you! This place would not last a day in NYC, but since there are no other options anywhere close, it gets good reviews. Enjoyed another great meal at Hampton Gyro and Grill a few nights ago. My husband and I wanted a quick delicious meal to end the beautiful fall day. The Hampton Gyro and Grill still has safety in mind for its customers. You can order online, on the phone or in person for easy takeout or dine in. We decided to enjoy our dinner outside under the blue and white umbrella. We shared a generous portion of a Caesar Salad with it's crispy pita croutons and shaved Parmesan cheese. Since we shared a salad my husband decide to get double portion of French fries with his Shrimp platter. He really enjoys ordering the shrimp well done and they never fail. I ordered the grilled chicken bowl skipping the lettuce but filling my bowl with extra rice and tomatoes with the tazaziki sauce on side. Our food was so good and the staff was so polite. The restaurant is so brightly lit and very clean. Looking forward to our next trip out East and we'll be sure to include The Hampton Gyro and Grill to complete our day. read more
