The booking to make a reservation was so easy at this Holiday Inn in comparison to the Holiday Inn in Horse Cave City, KY. If one calls the number, it goes straight to the front desk, not to a reservations call center. Good first impression. Had checked in to this hotel for business and it was some way in from the road that it is towards the back of a bunch of businesses on a side street. You have to use a middle of the road turning lane to get to it if coming from I-75 (I hate unprotected turns, much prefer a signal light). It is right next door to a Super 8. When I entered, the gal on staff (4:30 p.m. on 3/18) was super nice. She was able to get my reservation up and assign me a room. I noticed, however, that when I reached my room, the lock was holding the door open. I went back down to ask and she stated that when cleaning crew do that, it is to alert another among them to replace towels. I told her this and she immediately left her post and came with me to resolve the issue. She even gave me two cookies for free (not sure if cookies are free anyway. They look like the free ones, one to a plastic sealed pouch and they were GOOD.) After entering the room, it was definitely spacious, much bigger than the other Holiday Inn I stayed at in Horse Cave City, KY. The distance from the bed to the t.v. was a lot and the entry way had its own room and to the left was the bathroom. The bathroom has a shower stall instead of a bath tub (which I like). One other thing I like about this bathroom is that the toilet paper rolls are right next to the toilet. OMG!!! You do not know how many hotels there are where the toilet paper is like steps away to get or in some awkward place where one has to contort in order to get to. The breakfast was not bad either. It has all the hot and cold foods one would find. Specifically, I just want to point out that the sausage pork patties at this location are done well! Props to the individual who puts out the breakfast. They were brown and crispy, not still grey and floppy. This location does not have turkey sausage patties, however, and does not have the egg beater yellow eggs as an option either. This is just something I noticed in comparison to the Holiday Inn in Horse Cave City, KY. Four issues I found: There is no trashcan next to the coffee machine area. There is one trashcan near the desk area (near the t.v.) and one trashcan near the bathroom. It was kind of inconvenient to have to walk from the coffee area to either of these spots to throw anything away. The shower stall door, the one closest to the shower head, one cannot get to immediately after entering the bathroom. The door radius basically takes up all the space and so one has to enter through the second sliding door towards the back of the shower. With sliding door showers, I always have the door with the handle on the outside as the front and the one with the handle, inside, towards the back. One cannot have it this way because of the radius of the door opening and covering the front part. The breakfast area, where the hot tubs (LOL...because hot tubs should be located in the pool area) are with the biscuits and gravy, pork sausage, and white omelets are located; who in the heck designed that layout? Like other hotels I have been to, one has to hold the lid open, spoon the item into a plate, while also holding the plate and hope the lid does not fall back down to cover the hot tub. Maybe make more counterspace so that one can put a plate down and be able to hold the lid of the hot tub while spooning the item onto the plate? I do not have three hands! The elevators did not have inspection certificates in them. read more

NOT PET FRIENDLY... The website indicates that this location is pet friendly however they have signs posted throughout the lobby and on the registration form that pets are not permitted, this includes service animals. We didn't have our pup with us so it didn't matter to us however for anyone that books a room through a website specifically for a pet friendly location they will be very disappointed when they arrive with their pet and then turned away without a refund. The room was basic but clean. read more

We were greeted at Holiday Inn Express in Williamsburg KY immediately by a courteous, friendly front desk attendant. The room had a king size bed with microwave and fridge on the first floor. It was very clean. Breakfast is included. I would recommend this hotel! read more

We stayed here overnight on the way back from Atlanta and all I can say is this is a good quality hotel for its price range. The service, amenities, accommodations, hot breakfast buffet, price, convenient on-off expressway location, overall quality, etc were all top notch. This is a new hotel and it shows. It believe it opened maybe a year ago (I was told early 2019). We booked a room via third party app and paid for the room online. The price was definitely affordable and for the rate, I was extremely pleased with the hotel accommodations. The room was was very attractive, the bed was extremely comfortable and everything was brand new. The bathroom actually had good lighting for doing makeup in (surprise, surprise), the counter top was large enough to toss all my beauty supplies onto it at once and the bathroom amenities were nice quality, too. The shower gel, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, and makeup remover were all useful and not of the cheap variety that lower end hotels use. I appreciated that. Other than that, the bedding was luxurious and new, with high thread count sheets, very nice quality oversized towels, the furniture was chic and modern, and the room came with a Keurig, plasma tv, microwave, safe, refrigerator, glassware, iron/ironing board, extra linens,very fast free WI FI, etc. Everything was spotless, like the room had been given the "white glove" test or something. It was kinda impressive for a Holiday Inn Express. As for the other hotel amenities, they had a nice workout/exercise room, a nice pool and a terrific hot breakfast bar, featuring vegetarian omelets, hot pancakes, homemade oatmeal, as well as yogurts, pastries, fruit, cereals, additional eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage, juices, coffee, tea, etc. It was actually the best free hot breakfast bar in a hotel I've seen in awhile and I was super surprised about the vegetarian omelets, which actually tasted pretty decent. My husband and I definitely took advantage of the pool and fitness center and the reliable WI FI was a bonus. The pool was super relaxing after a chaotic week-long family vacation in metro Atlanta. As for the main parts of the hotel, the lobby was beautifully decorated and the all of the public areas were super clean and chic. The lobby and dining area had plenty of comfortable seating, a few business computers for the business center and plasma TVs overhead so that guests could watch tv while eating breakfast or grabbing coffee. The service was great, the concierge who checked us in was super friendly and check-in and check-out both were smooth and fast. When in the area, we will definitely stay here again. read more

Very nice hotel. Stayed here overnight last weekend. It was a very pleasant stay. While I traditionally prefer Hilton owned hotels, this is first rate. The hotel is new, very comfortable, the staff was great, Cindy bed, great shower, excellent hot breakfast featuring a huge variety of items., including eggs, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal, breads, yogurt, fruit and cereal. This holiday inn seemed quite good for the price. I believe my wife and I paid $99 for a room with a king bed. While there aren't a ton of decent food options on the exit, there are a few pizza places, a Mexican restaurant next door and subway nearby. I got a great nights sleep, a decent breakfast, replaced in the hotel pool and enjoyed the fitness center with all new and up to date equipment. Overall, a great value. I'd stop in again if traveling on the road down south again. read more

The room was not clean. The check-in person was outside smoking with her boyfriend and was rude. the room was not clean. A wet washcloth was left from a previous guest was left hanging from the shower head. When we left there were six employees smoking cigarettess in fron of the hotel. With a different staff this place could be ok. read more

This place is a Hidden GEM!!!!! 5 STATRS for easy access to i75, cleaniless, attentive & personal care employees, & it's CLEAN! Very pleasantly surprised with my first unplanned visit here. It's a great halfway point between Atlanta & south/western OH. I only wish I'd known about this place many years ago. Very fair prices, I will most definitely return to this hotel again!!! Traveling from Ohio to TN we decided to make a stop over night in Williamsburg, KY. I booked the room from my iPhone in a dark vehicle moving 75. I selected only 1 adult and a standard room when booking. I did not realize until we walked in the room and found one king bed, we have a family of four. My husband went and spoke with the woman working the desk. She was more than accommodating and gave us a room with two beds. The mattress and pillows were wonderful. Feather top duvet and feather pillows. Spacious room and VERY clean. I enjoyed the J.R. Watkins hair and soap products the hotel provided. I love Watkins! They also have a complimentary makeup remover face cleanser. This was really nice so I did not have to unpack all my bags at 12:30 am. Room also had a keurig coffee maker and tea bags. Breakfast had a wide variety to choice from. Pancake maker, bagels, cereal, fruit, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Express check out was a breeze. Holiday Inn continues to make our road trips a breeze. Downstairs is ok. But room is terrible. Holes in the wall and blood on the bedspread really is scary tonight. I sure hope we do t catch anything bad. I am not sure the sheets on bed were cleaned. Room rate was high. The parking is possibly worst I have experienced in a long while. This is not a great place to stay for the rate. read more

As of writing this review I have stayed in this hotel for over a month. On January 10th 2024 I got back to my hotel room and immediately noticed my desk was shuffled around, and my Lenovo Legion Go computer had been taken, I immediately notified staff and called the police, it's now been 19 days and the hotel has done nothing to help me. Over a thousand dollars gets taken in property, the staff admits that it's visible on camera, and they've not even gone as far as to offer me anything. I had been told the employee was fired, only to find out she actually quit the day she stole my property, I had been told it was likely the owners would reimburse me, only to now be told that at best "corporate may offer you hotel points". My privacy gets violated, my property is stolen, only to be topped off by the fact that nothings been cleaned and I have no clean towels or sheets. I understand on the few days that I had the "we're busy" tag in the door, but that's been weeks. I'll make sure my company doesn't book an IHG hotel again since apparently they don't care for their customers. read more

We stayed here for one night on March 12th. My daughter woke up with bed bug bites on her arms and legs. Upon checkout, we mentioned this to the checkout person and they told us we would receive a call but we have yet to hear anything. We do not recommend this location. read more

Reserved the room online and was pleased with how convenient and easy that process was. We got a 5% discount for being AAA members, which was only $5 but still better than nothing. Check in was quick and the girl at the front desk was very polite. Hotel is either new or freshly renovated, and it's beautiful, clean, and stylish. Beds were comfortable enough and the room was pretty clean. Temperature was easily controlled and worked well in the room. Ice machines were located conveniently right next to the elevators. Parking lot was small and could be an issue if ever fully booked, but for us, it wasn't bad. Breakfast was adequate- scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, cinnamon rolls, sausage, assortment of cereals and breads (toast, bagels, muffins), apples, bananas, pancake machine, juice, and coffee. Nothing to write home about, but it got us fed and on the road swiftly. The dining area for breakfast is also a little smaller, so if they are ever fully booked, it might get overwhelming and crowded. The hotel itself is new and very nice and we didn't talk to the staff much but they seemed very kind. The elevators are haunted we got into it and pushed out floor number and close door and the door just kept opening. I thought the beds were pretty comfy but everyone else did not. The pool was nice but no hot tub so that kind of sucked. The breakfast was pretty good. The biscuits and gravy were very good and I typically don't like them the oatmeal was weird and stringy but pretty good, the cinnamon rolls, pancakes, and cheesy omelette were not good at all. The orange juice had a weird taste to it but I think the rest of the drinks were okay. read more
