So happy to have come here thanks to great friends for their recommendation of this location! Hana Sushi has so many options on their menu, but specifically, so many specialty rolls. We started out with garlic edamame, and honestly I could give the 5-star review for this location for the garlic edamame alone. It just had so much flavor and a perfect amount of garlic (which in my case is heavy on the garlic). Although there were so many roll options, I did narrow it down to three. We ordered the Dragon roll, the Ichiban roll, and the Princess roll. My personal favorite was honestly split between the Ichiban and Dragon rolls. Both were fantastic for their own reasons. On the Ichiban roll, the seared salmon was so buttery it just melted in your mouth. Plus with the combo of spicy tuna and soft shell crab, just a delight all together! The Dragon roll was a tie since the eel was so good. Just perfect texture and taste and anything with unagi is better. I loved the Princess roll, I just took off the jalapeños off of each roll I ate as the jalapeños would cover up the flavor of the rest of the roll. The spicy tuna with yellowtail combo was phenomenal, especially in a ponzu sauce/marinade. Our service was great as well! Both servers we had were very attentive and our waters were never empty. Also by the time we ordered our food, they came back immediately with our edamame and only a few minutes later with our rolls. They were incredibly fast. Parking is very easy as the restaurant is in a larger shopping/restaurant plaza. Can't wait to go back to try more rolls as their menu seems endless!

I am giving Hana Sushi #6 and the stars of the experience were Simon, our server and the sushi chef, which I am sorry I didn't catch his name and should have bought him a beer. Simon was exceptionally professional, courteous and attentive. We started with the spicy garlic edamame and it was seriously the best I have ever, ever had. Just amazing. Next, we each ordered a salmon handroll. I have never seen nor had such an amazing salmon handroll, which was exceptionally plentiful and I mean packed with fresh, buttery salmon! Amazing! We were surprised that the handrolls were $13.95 ea., that was the only issue I had. I had the Hana Gold roll. It was very good. I thought the tempura shrimp should have been the larger, jumbo 16/20 size shrimp. A little skimpy and hardly noticeable in the full priced specialty roll. I believe they missed the mark here too. Despite the "indi-glo" ahi [bright red/pink, not found in nature] the roll was good, not great. I feel that they packed this roll with krab and the tiny shrimp and I ended up not getting the bang for my buck. The rice itself was done very well. This is a true marker for good sushi. I had a Kikusui, my friend the lg hot sake and I had a small Sapporo. The addition of fresh wasabi and the paste both made the sushi experience good as they both had that kick and heat. I hope they read this review and up some of the standards, esp., in the "Gold" roll. It is obviously a huge profit margin for them. Next time I will ask them to hold the bright "fish" and bring on the salmon. Five stars, despite some imperfections because the service was professional and friendly and the rice here is outstanding.

If I could give half stars, this would be a solid 4.5. The fish was fresh, the rice-to-fish ratio was spot on, and our server was super attentive without hovering. It's a little pricey in my opinion (most special rolls are around $19), but the rolls are huge, so you're definitely getting your money's worth. The vibe is nice too -- relaxed but still a little special, perfect for date night or a fun dinner with friends.

Food is always fresh and delicious! Been to many sushi places around, this place is only one that our family has been going to consistently. One of a few great place to eat!

My girlfriend and I were starving and planned to go eat here for our first time. We sat down, got our food, and finished it all in 15 minutes LOL. Service was amazing, our waitress/server was super sweet and attentive. Food was BOMB. (We got the dragon roll, sunset roll, and crunch roll you'll see in the photo). The place seemed very clean and well put together. Nice vibe. One of my favorites for sure in the Temecula area, definitely try it out if you are deciding what sushi place to go to rn haha

This place is so good. Quick service. Delicious food. I got the Mexican roll and it's my favorite sushi roll now. My son got the kids katsu chicken and it was crispy and perfect. He loved it. The California roll is the best Iv had. Sorry my pictures I took were after we had eaten a lot of the food.

Tostada - hands down the best I have ever had and nothing compares!

I love your sushi! I really enjoy coming here and eating a nice meal. Nothing is really wrong, and the bathrooms are very clean. I recommend this to sushi lovers. Thanks !!

    Yellowtail

Our favorite place for sushi! Service is great, sushi is fresh and there are so many awesome rolls. We try something different every time we go & haven't been disappointed. However, we definitely prefer the fresh sushi vs. cooked or seared options! Sashimi is also very good - the yellowtail was what we enjoyed most recently (1piece eaten before pic) Definitely recommend Hana Sushi #6..

Sample platter with premium sushi - only $35.00 wow!

Simply the best sushi experience in the area hands down. Making a reservation is really a must here…read moreeven on a weekday night as they have a lot of walk in business. This area of the mall has already some of fav food so this just adds to it This is like the very popular Sugar Fish style in OC. Basically your best bet is taking one of the omakase sets. I've been here three times now and I'll say while the food is consistent the service is not. Some of the servers can't explain the food like others do but this is a small issue that I hope they fix otherwise this is an amazing find in the wine country area that's use to rather generic sushi rolls with a ton of sauce to drown it in. This is nigiri to a very level and everything is worth trying

However, if you are searching for the Americanize teriyaki , California rolls, and saucy spider rolls, this is not for you. This Japanese restaurant specializes in hand rolls, sushi and nigiri and they even make their own soy sauce and miso soup. It's for the people that loves and enjoy fresh clean sushi. We ordered the set that cost $55 that comes with all kind of nigiri's,sushi and hand rolls. It's absolutely delish and plated cleanly and up-class. I could taste the little details of stuff they added to the rice, the fish, the soy sauce and even the edamame. The edamame is not your typical sea salt , but it has salmon powder and it taste yuzu over it. This place brings in the Japanese culture with providing a wet towel for your hand before eating, Japanese miso soup with a lid and it reminds the time I'm in Japan. By eating their food, I can tell that the chef put love and effort on creating This menu and I really appreciate it. This is totally a vibe that you will want to bring you foodie friends and to impress the awesome Japanese food in Temecula. The toro..blue fin hand rolls..the maguru fuke(aged marinated tuna) , halibut, sea balls with a hint of yuzu on it..absolutely gorgeous. Services could be a bit better since we have to keep asking for water, ginger and soy sauce , but overall, they did their job and they are friendly . Really good Onori , really good. I'm impressed

There's something honest about a new sushi spot finding its footing, and Toro Sushi leans into that simplicity in the best way. No gimmicks, no overreaching, just clean cuts of fish, thoughtfully plated, and priced like they actually want you to come back. The sashimi (even the "small") punches above its weight, fresh, clean, no nonsense. You taste the ocean, not the freezer. That's already half the battle won. The sleeper hit here is the bento box. It's the kind of meal that reminds you value still exists, generous without being sloppy, filling without feeling like a compromise. The kind of plate that earns repeat business. Come in around 5:30 and it's still catching its breath. By 6, though, the place finds its pulse, busy, lively, the kind of energy you want in a neighborhood spot that's clearly starting to click. Service was kind, and quick, food came out decent too. The tempura shrimp and veggies was crisp and not too oily. The room itself? Polished. Modern. Spotless. Someone cares, and it shows. But like any place finding its stride, there are gaps. The men's restroom is a one-person situation, and if you've got a kid, you're out of luck, no changing table in the men's room, us millennial dads are not afraid of a poppie diaper. Not a dealbreaker, but a miss in a family-heavy area. Still, Toro Sushi doesn't try to be the loudest spot in the room, it just quietly does enough things right to make you want to return. And honestly, that's the kind of place that lasts.

With the solid reviews, I was expecting a little takeout win... but this one didn't quite land for me. The rolls themselves looked fine, but the flavor was surprisingly muted--almost like everything showed up but forgot to introduce itself. The rice and filling leaned a bit dry, and overall it just didn't have that fresh, satisfying bite I was hoping for. It's one of those experiences that's hard to pin down exactly, just... underwhelming. That said, given the strong ratings, I'm inclined to think this might have been an off day rather than the norm. I'd be open to giving them another shot down the line, but this visit didn't quite roll in the way I'd hoped.

This is coming from someone that has 6years of experience as a waitress, part of that working in a sushi restaurant. The staff was very unkind to my mother for having a gluten allergy. They stated that she cannot have the rice because of having gluten in it?? My mom react to the soy sauce, we have not had a problem with the sushi rice from this location. The tone that the first male server gave was giving "this is an inconvenience" so by stating the rice claim, almost to get us to leave all together. Then he says he will have all the rolls not have any sauce on top which was nice of him to offer. Then we had female waitress, Kelly, who we tried to ask a a question as she was passing. I watched her sit a table, clean a table, place a check before coming back to answer our question. (All I understand) until she walks by our table and pretends not to look at us. So I have to stop her again because one of the roles had a sauce on top. So I asked her if the sauce had gluten in it. Again. (2nd time I asked this question from her passing by twice) she acted as if this was a new question, and was trying to walk away. She assured the sauce does have gluten. So I told her that we already explained to the male sever that we cannot have gluten in the sauces. We kept that roll for the gluten people and order another roll for my mom to eat. She then asks us for another round of tea and brings us a teapot of just hot water.... Overall, I cannot stand when servers make you feel like an inconvenience. The Hana sushi staff by chaparral on Winchester is MUCH FRIENDLIER we are regulars to both locations. After this encounter, we all agreed we will make it a point to only go to the Winchester location as they are very kind and attentive to my mother's allergies.

Perfect for anniversary dinner:…read more Omakase sushi is one of the most refined and memorable dining experiences you can have, especially if you appreciate attention to detail, freshness, and craftsmanship. From the moment you sit down, there's a clear sense that this is not just a meal--it's a curated journey guided entirely by the chef's expertise and intuition. What makes omakase stand out is the trust you place in the chef. Instead of choosing dishes yourself, you allow the chef to present a sequence of sushi that highlights the best ingredients available that day. This often results in a progression that feels intentional and balanced, starting with lighter, more delicate flavors and gradually moving toward richer, more complex pieces. Each bite is thoughtfully designed to showcase the natural qualities of the fish, the texture of the rice, and the subtle interplay of seasoning. The freshness of the ingredients is immediately noticeable. High-quality omakase typically features fish flown in from top markets, and you can taste the difference. The fish is clean, tender, and often melts in your mouth. The rice, which is just as important as the fish, is seasoned perfectly--slightly warm, lightly vinegared, and shaped with precision so it holds together without being dense. Another standout aspect is the craftsmanship. Watching the chef prepare each piece right in front of you adds a level of appreciation you don't get with standard dining. Every movement is deliberate, from slicing the fish to forming the rice to brushing on just the right amount of soy or adding a touch of wasabi. It becomes clear that years of training and discipline go into even the simplest-looking piece of sushi. Omakase also introduces you to varieties of fish and preparations you might never order on your own. This expands your palate and helps you discover new favorites. Seasonal ingredients often play a role, which keeps the experience dynamic and unique each time you go. Service is typically intimate and attentive, especially if you're seated at the counter. The chef may explain each piece, offer guidance on how to eat it, or adjust the pacing based on your preferences. This interaction adds a personal element that enhances the overall experience. While omakase can be more expensive than regular sushi, the value lies in the quality, skill, and overall experience. It's not just about eating--it's about enjoying a carefully orchestrated meal that reflects both tradition and creativity. Overall, omakase sushi delivers a level of quality and thoughtfulness that's hard to match. If you're looking for a dining experience that combines artistry, flavor, and a sense of occasion, omakase is absolutely worth it.

All of the servers were friendly, attentive, and quick to check in on us. We never had to flag anyone down or wait long for assistance. Everything came out quickly, was fresh, and tasted great. The ramen and rolls were especially enjoyable, and there wasn't much left behind except for the broth. The only item that missed the mark for me was the Garlic Edamame. It was coated in quite a bit of sauce, which ended up overpowering the flavor of the edamame itself. I'd recommend ordering it with less sauce or asking for it on the lighter side if possible. Overall, the prices were reasonable, the food was good, and the service was attentive.
