It's a little odd for a moving company to not work on the weekends. That's literally the primary time that people move.

I called and ask for a quote on packing a bike. The owner took the call and after I explained in detail what the bike was all about including size and conditions for a 10 + min phone call, and I was quoted $ x. As I got to the place a very nice lady told me the price was not close and that he only quoted the box itself. Now the price was $ xx. If the owner had told me he had made a mistake and gave me the wrong quote I would be ok. He didn't and insisted he gave me only the price of the box. Even after the 10+ minutes phone call we had going over the entire deal.. Well that's why my review, for not been truthful. They had all the regular old boxes and packing materials I needed and were a big help making a custom box for and helping me pack a desk chair I was shipping, at a reasonable price. We have moved quite a bit and have learned how to cut costs where we can. Rather than having the movers plastic wrap our furniture, we decided to do it ourselves. I Googled to find someone with the best rates for moving supplies and The Packaging Store in Irvine came up. I was quite impressed with their rates which can be viewed online! Their prices are better than Public Storage and a few other places I found online. Compare them yourself and see! Sonia who is one of the owners was the one who helped me. She was super friendly and patient! She even gave some discounts without me having to ask. I was so pleasantly surprised because most business try to find ways to charge you more. I so appreciated it because if you've moved at all, you would know that it is very costly! THANK YOU SONIA!!! Super helpful and friendly -- I needed a non-standard sized box, 40" x 8" x 8" for shipping a foldable softbox (a photo modifier); the closest UPS store could get was 40x15x15 which was almost double what I needed (and they charged almost twenty bucks for it). Called Handle With Care and they confirmed they had both a 40x6x6 and a 40x8x8, and offered to trim the box down to size if needed to reduce the shipping cost. Got there and they helped me get the right sized box and since it fit already, there was no need to trim anything. Owner also helped tape the bottom of the box for me to make it easier to carry with the softbox inside; plus it was reasonably priced. Definitely coming back if I find myself in need of shipping supplies. read more

The crew arrived right on time for the pick up of my delivery. They were very nice and helped me tape up the last boxes. I had poorly packaged/wrapped two of my pieces of furniture, but when they arrived at the destination, they were supremely packed with bubble wrap and custom boxes had been constructed around them.
