I recently found out about this hidden family gem! This is a family run place to learn about and purchase your second amendment rights, guns, ammo and accessories. They can get super busy but the 2 sisters are amazing!, with a little patience you will feel like family too. I have seen them help many people that are new to guns. I wasn't completely new but I would say i was pretty new. They have a wealth of knowledge and shared in a way that i never felt stupid. The front desk staff has changed and these two young ladies were rocking the front desk! I walked in, and that made a tiny line of three customers to handle on a Friday. Pleasant, smiles, and they kept a positive mood. I was renting for the second time and I think the process was a little less complicated. However, the return experience was a little disarming as I was informed that I was supposed to return my Friday pick up rentals for a Saturday night party on Monday morning, not afternoon. Bummer. No one informed me of that important detail when I rented on Friday. I was 'forgiven' for the error, but was it really my error? I am unsure about that. Caveat emptor, I suppose. Still going to use them for now, because I want to keep my business where I live, in Kihei. read more

spent $300 on a air rifle and it broke on the 3rd shot. took it back as soon as I had time which was within 72 hours of purchase and was informed of a 0 return or exchange policy. that policy was not posted anywhere on the premises or on my receipt nor was I informed on purchase. to add insult to injury, the young girl working was the most foul, nasty and rude person I have ever come across in customer service. After informing the nasty girl I had rights as a consumer here in America she said I had no rights. Racist locals. read more

The team and Handley's is amazing! They are super friendly, and knowledgeable. Their inventory is fresh and always have some cool and tempting firearm to wish for. Their ammo is consistently available and fairly priced. I have gotten targets, cleaning patches, solvents, kits, and hearing protection from them. I always swing by when I am on the Southside. hands down, the worst customer service I have ever received on this island. walked into this place to check some things out, the owner didn't even acknowledge us as we walked in. She was just sitting there talking to another customer. Out of courtesy, at least a "hello, we'll be right with you" or something, would've been nice. After standing around for about 10 minutes, asking her mom (who seemed like she didn't know much) questions, we still got no acknowledgement from the owner, never coming here ever again. If you need to purchase a firearm, think twice about coming here.. actually, if i could give NO stars, i would. Handleys, you just got lucky with this ONE star. read more

Just rented a 10' box van from these folks. Nice and efficient counter service; the truck was clean and reliable. Got my moving done in a day, got the truck back in less than 24 hours and I was out of there. If you need a truck for a day in Kihei or South Maui, these are the folks to see !! read more

Came here to get our new camper van filled with propane and while I was inside getting someone to help, a loose dog came and jumped up on the side of our van pawing at it and scratched the paint pretty bad. When we told the owner of the uhaul/gun store she rudely stated it was her dads dog and threatened, "if I have anything to do with it, the dog is going to be put down..Is that what you want?!!" in a very menacing tone. Especially scary to be around someone acting like that while surrounded by guns. Absolutely horrible experience. Don't come here. read more

I've used Handley's maybe 10 times or more. Never had any issues. the vehicles always worked properly. They could clean them a lot more frequently, though. I was always treated professionally and any issues I had were taken care of. read more

Handley's Rentals helped us out in a pinch. We had a flood and needed to move our stuff into pods. They delivered pods quickly and picked them up to be stored the same day I called for pickup. They worked with me on how to best store them for the lowest price. When we needed help moving the furniture back in - they provided movers and kept in touch with us the day of the move - we had some trouble finding one of our pods. We so appreciate their aloha service. We have used Handley's for propane and renting a moving vehicle to pick up some furniture. Always a pleasure. Thank you Handley's! read more

Very unprofessional! I was there making an inquiry and the mother I was speaking to was interrupted by her daughter in the middle of our conversation! Didn't even apologized! Funny how the mother didn't interrupt her on a question I asked her and didn't know the answer. The mom was a sweetheart she has ethics. I walked out...they lost over 1k of my business. They are not prepared for the U-Box business. read more

Dave & Sally Handley Started as Concrete Masonry contractors & Concrete Pumping in the 1970's and then as we grew our family we grew our family business. You can park your vehicle close to the refill station so no lugging tanks and waiting for someone to unlock a cabinet of exchange tanks like you do at a big box store. Current price (April 2024) is $5.90 per gallon plus tax. An empty 20-lb cylinder will accept about 4.5 gallons. This is a good value because the "exchange" places B--e R---o may seem cheaper but they typically only fill their cylinders with 15-lbs of propane which is about 3.5 gallons. Friendly workers will help guide you through the money card process. They have a very small restroom with a single toilet, sink and hand blow dryer. The bathroom door has seen better days, and takes some care to open & close. I've been here twice now and the wait has been minimal to access a machine. Bring your own soap or purchase whatever you need here at the usual markup. Four friendly stars four a great little laundromat.

I called to report a gas leak which had been picked up by a propery inspector. It was a slow leak on the gas companies side of the gas pipe. I had already reported the leak a few months before as we had a higher than usual gas bill, and it had been inspected by the gas company and they had stated there was no leak. After trying to report the gas leak for the second time to the operator at Hawaii gas, they stated there wasn't a leak, they wouldn't accept a property inspection report, and that if I wanted them to come out I would have to pay. Then the operator hung up on me!!! So much for corporate initiatives on company training to uphold customer service standards. Zero on this call and I still have a gas leak!
