The food was good. I got a Philly cheese steak fries. My only gripe is it had some kinda sauce on it. Coulda been their house sauce or thousand island sauce. I'm not a fan of the sauce. It was good but I just wanted a more Philly cheesesteak flavor to my meal. The service was underwhelming. It took forever to get our food but I think that's normal for this place because of the volume of custom items. The ambiance is everything. Family vibe or chill with the homey vibes here. Parking is across the street and not in the lot surrounding it. Oops. Give it a try if you want to try something new/different.

Hangry Belly is definitely food to satisfy your hungry. This awesome burger joint is located in Long Beach's very own Steelcraft open air food hall and is fun in the day sun or night light trendy hot spot. H.B. has a variety of buntastic offerings including vegetarian and vegan offerings. Burgers, Fries, Salads, Wraps and other savory bites. The even have a cool breakfast menu to boot (available 9 to 11am, Thurs-Sunday only) The Green Ting being an instant fav as well as the service. The guy who helped me was amazing! Full disclosure on the dairy based toppings to omit. Definitely one of the best beyond burgers I've had to date and they veganized it instantly (hold the swiss and cilantro aioli). You can add on things like avocado or and extra patty for an even bigger meal. Fries/loaded fries/sides are a little extra, but I'd say worth it to satisfy the hanger. Beverages are bottle or can, but quite a fun variety from root beer to Jarritos, water and other east mellow drinks to sooth your belly. Hangry B also has cool food truck and offerings catering packages as well. Available all seven days in a full week from 11am to 9pm Sunday through Thursday and until 10pm on Fridays as well as Saturdays. Shared parking via their lots of local street. Public transit also runs smoothly and directly by them off Long Beach Blvd. Pop in and tame your Hangry Belly (beast).

Ok guys, the hype is REAL! I placed an order through Ubereats since Hangry Belly had some BOGO promotions and I was not disappointed! Aside from the great deals, I've seen how popular this establishment has been with locals and Yelpers so I was definitely looking forward to giving this place a shot. I ordered the Fire-Belly Burger and the Pig N' Fries. My burger was really good, I loved the potato bun and also how the chiles in the burger had a nice little kick. The fries definitely tasted good but because I had them delivered they were a bit soggy. I'm sure had I eaten them in person they would've tasted even better. I like how Hangry Belly also offers a variety of sauces. I tried the spicy aioli, cilantro aioli, and the thousand island. All the sauces were delicious and paired nicely with my spicy burger. I recommend this spot to anyone in the area looking for a great craft burger. For those who enjoy spicy food the Fire-Belly Burger is definitely the way to go. Support your local businesses!

Bring your appetite because Hangry Belly has the goods. DoorDash had happy hour discounts, so I picked up the Fire Belly Burger and Crunchy Fries. The fries were exactly how I like and I appreciated the pickled serranos in the burger. The patty is 1/3 lb., which is big, but not overwhelming. Lastly, the service was friendly.

This place was pretty good. I heard of it from friends who typically come to the steel craft location for food and drinks. The staff seemed friendly and were super helped with me being my first time. I tried their burger, fries and wings and were all delicious. The location was pretty cool, if for some reason you don't like the food at one location you can grab food at another location. I would definitely want to go back to try another burger or deferent style of fries.

Great experience at Hangry Belly! Not too crowded on a Tuesday for lunch so plenty of seating on a sunny afternoon. We ordered the fire belly and hangry fit burgers as lettuce wraps, plus french fries. Both burgers were really and nicely wrapped! The spicy belly had a good kick and the hangry fit had good flavor for a turkey burger. They use to have really good tater tots so a little sad those are gone but their fries were nice and crispy! We also ordered ranch, which cost extra, but was good quality. Overall enjoyed our lunch here!

My husband and I went to Hangry Belly on a Friday night around 6pm. Wasn't too busy! We got the Fire Belly Burger and We Be Jammin' burger to try along with our complimentary Hangry Fries. I liked both burgers but the We Be Jammin' one a bit more. Hangry Fries were delish! Like a gourmet in n out animal fries! Yum! The only downside was it took about 30min for us to get our food. The fries were plenty big for two people though!

The dining options at Steelcraft are pretty straightforward: pizza, Mexican, and Hangry Belly is where you go if you just want a regular ole burger and fries. I ordered the Chez Burger ($10). It's a 1/2 pound beef patty topped with lettuce, tomato, red onion, Thousand Island and American cheese. I was hoping for/expecting thinly sliced red onions. Instead, my burger came with a thick ole slice of slice of white onion which pretty much dominated the taste of the burger. The beef patty was a little lacking as were the sad, sad buns that held everything together. For my fried potato choice, I opted for the Philly cheese fries which, I believe, was a special. Unlike the burger which was doing too little, I felt like the fries were doing too much. I should have stuck to the bacon fries instead. Hangry Belly is an okay place if you're in the mood for a burger. Hopefully your order is more balanced than mine.

Located in the Steelcraft outdoor food court located in Long Beach, Hangry Belly serves up a small selection of burgers and fries. You place and pay for your order first, and are given a pager to pick it up when ready. Our group of four ended up getting cheeseburgers ($10) which were pretty good, especially with the potato bun and fresh, crisp vegetables. They were on target when I asked for the toppings on one of them to be on the side. The menu says it's a half pounder patty, though didn't seem that way. We also got one order of brisket fries ($13)...pretty good (not on the waffle fries as mentioned on the menu). The skin on fries were deep fried very well, and the toppings were generous. I though the brisket was quite good. It's a good burger, and with a good beer, it ended up being a fine, casual dinner on a weeknight.

I've only tried one thing here but it's AMAZING! Highly recommend the bok bok sandwich, omg it's delicious. I don't live in OC anymore but that sandwich alone is worth the drive. We are regulars here and we are never disappointed in the quality and customer service this location provides. We decided to come here on a Sunday morning to try out their breakfast biscuit sandwiches and they were SO GOOD!! The biscuits were soft and fresh! If I could give this place 10 stars I would! one of my go-to spots. Food NEVER disappoints & the staff is always so nice & energetic. I come every Sunday with my dogs & usually order the brisket fries or the messy meat eater. It always hits the spot (especially with a beer from next door). The desserts are also to DIE for. This is a combo review of Hangry Belly and the little outdoor marketplace (not sure what you call it?). I was showing a condo around the corner and realized I hadn't eaten all day, so hit up Yelp to find somewhere to swing by. I spotted that Hangry Belly was right around the corner and had a veggie burger. I was shocked by the adorable little space that I found myself in and really hated that I didn't have time to sit and chill. To try to describe for anyone who has never been here...the best I can describe is that several restaurants have these tiny little storefronts where you can walk up and order food and then you sit outside at picnic tables that are covered for all weather enjoyment. There is also a Smog City Brewery with a cute little mini-bar to sit at for a few lucky people. There's also a children's game and lots of people had their dogs with them. It really felt like a hip, neighborhood hangout spot and I was jealous that my clients will be the ones living around the corner and not me! Onto the Hangry Belly review. The cashier was super sweet and friendly. I asked if any of the sodas they had in bottles had caffeine and she checked for me. I went with the Black Cherry even though it was caffeine free and it was very yummy. I got the Green Ting Burger. It had a Beyond Meat Patty that I literally had to put down after my first bite to make sure I hadn't been given the wrong burger because I really thought it was meat. It was topped with Swiss Cheese, Avocado, a MASSIVE slice of red onion, lettuce, tomato, with a cilantro aoli on a Potato Bun. I would have given a 5 if I liked the flavor profile better, because the build of the burger, the bun, the freshness of everything was spot on. The overall flavor though was just very bland and blah. I think it was too many mildly flavored ingredients all together. I had to take out most of the red onion because the piece was just massive and it was all I could taste. I really couldn't taste the cilantro aoli much at all. I think cilantro is probably a weird pick for aoli because it doesn't really add too much flavor. With a mild piece of cheese like Swiss and with Avocado I was craving something with some heat or acidity to it. Veggie burgers at restaurants can really be massive hits or misses. I've had a few in my 20+ years as a vegetarian/pescetarian that truly made me understand why if someone experiences that as their first vegan experience they think we are all nuts! I've had others that were so superly amazingly delicious that I have returned many times for them. If I could build my own from the ingredients I see on Hangry Belly's menu I would choose: American cheese, arugula, tomato and the spicy aoli. read more

This place used to be my favorite but after repeatedly having problems and poor quality ingredients I will no longer be eating here. Stale and hard bread, only the ends of tomatoes, little to no toppings and the kicker, missing items. I've picked up orders and had it delivered via Postmates and have experienced issues with both. EVERY time we order delivery we are missing full items even if the outside of the bag states they are in there. I don't get how they make these repeated mistakes but they just lost a customer that has given them tons of money and held out hope they'd improve. I'd rather eat McDonalds than go back and I suggest you do the same. read more

Hangry is an awesome burger spot at SteelCraft, which is super cool and definitely worth checking out. My burger was delicious (Fit Hangry, would recommend) and the fries were warm. Also just a fun spot to hangout in. Prices are reasonable, wifi worked well, and the service was friendly and helpful! Bathrooms were nice and clean. If you're reading this, save yourself half your money and get a burger that's 4x as good from in n out. We got the we be jammin, chez burger, & and waffle fries. Not a single redeeming quality to be found. The burgers were over cooked and the ratios were way off: half a tomato slice, some lettuce, a ton of red onion? I never thought I'd ever have to say this, but the waffle fries were also somehow overcooked. All jagged crispy edges and no potato-y goodness to be found. I love the crispies but a bag full gets old real quick without the balance of actual potato. The service was friendly and the fact that you can get a beer next door makes this place slightly more appealing but there's no way I'll ever come back with the superior options in steelcraft. read more

Shared the Trufflin Waffle Fries and Pig'n Fries with my girlfriend. Both were amazing! It was hard to decide which one I like better. We also each got burgers that were perfect! I don't usually leave positive reviews for places, but when I do, they are definitely worth a visit! Very good burgers. I've had them three times and they are great, so are the waffle fries. My only heartburn is the price. $13 for a burger and another $5 for waffle fries sets you back a bit more than then other places but to be honest i like the burger so much I'll still shell out for it once in a while. I didn't care for the turkey burger as it was made w/100% white meat turkey, which is extremely dry and hard to season. Burgers to-go should never be wrapped in tin foil or any kind of wax paper as it will cause it to sweat and make the bun soggy. The french fries were delicious though. Real potatoes with skin on them were perfectly cooked & crisp. read more

I cannot explain how much i love this spot since it has changed. All about that potato bun on their burgers and their chicken salads are FIRE! Also the girls that work here are extremely friendly and i look forward to seeing them everytime i eat from here. Again...the food......BOMBAY ALL DAY on the rector scale! Super basic sandwiches and burgers but more expensive than others. It's the only burger, sandwich place in Steelcraft though so I guess they have a monopoly. Also, the owner/manager needs to hire more staff. Even on a Monday late afternoon the wait was a little long. read more

Yeaaaa not so great. I HATE HATE HATE cold fries. If my food is made fresh, why are my fries cold? Ice cold? Like they've been sitting there since this morning. I seriously don't have the energy during my lunch break to take my fries back to wait for new fries. I sat down ate my burger and tossed my truffle fries. Whatever, I just won't be back. This place is fire! the burgers here are melt in your month so SO good! The Serrano chill burger is my favorite, the spice is perfect and leaves a lingering spiciness that is sure to keep you wanting the next bite! I also tried the chicken sandwich because I love a good chicken sandwich and man oh man! They use a fresh piece of chicken breast, none of that chicken patties nonsense. It's so fresh and juicy, and it's on a Texas toast bun seriously what else could you want! Let's talk about those waffel fries though! Wayyyyy better then Chick-fil-A hands down! The truffle waffel fries are the best in my opinion, honestly everything on the menu is good. What I love most about this place is everything is FRESH! Everything is made in house from the peppers to the sauces and the workers there are very nice and love what they do! Food is great! However, we ordered waffle fries and pig n fries, which was $4.99 and $8.99 extra respectively. After placing our order, they told us they did not have waffle fries, so they offered a refund for regular fries. The refund turned out to be only $1.10. Didn't seem appropriate for not receiving what we had ordered. Food is already pricey here, so to not reimburse adequately for pricey fries seems insufficient. Lastly, delivery person left it at the front door without notifying us in any way. Sat outside for at least 30 minutes after looking our Ring camera. read more

It was so good I went 2 days in a row. Simple chez burger cooked perfectly. My wife had the Jammin burger and it was delicious as well. Fries are delicious. Perfect portions so if you're looking for claims jumpers sized entrees don't come here. I want to try the Bok Bok next time but I'll prob get the chez burger for a third time. read more

My brother in law attests to this place saying it's his favorite burger ever as well as the "best…read moreburger place in the world!" So we grabbed a couple of friends and went to Long Beach to check this place out! It is located on a side street but you can find parking in a small lot with the bar that this place is attached to. I'm assuming the bar orders from them to pass the food on to their patrons which is pretty cool imho. Anyways the inside itself is pretty tiny. I forgot to take a picture but it had LA Dodger colored sport figure heads painted on the wall. Pretty cool! (Even coming from an Angels fan) The prices itself are pretty pricey. I had to go for the Mike Tyson Burger. It was $18 for the burger and didn't include any drink or fries which kind of sucks honestly haha. I opted to pay for some fries and drink. Sadly, the soft drink machine is broken here and had to get a can soda. My food came out and please note that the fries come as a basket of fries only, so if you're eating solo and wanted some sides come hungry for sure haha. The burger itself looked really delicious! They had a special sauce on them and really thick patties but how did it taste? It was pretty good! The sauce served with it was delicious and paired well with the pastrami and the beef patties. The burger itself then became pretty messy but overall it was really good. The dudes at the front were really chill and even hooked us up with some ranch when they usually charge. Everyone else in my party enjoyed their food. But was it "the best burger place ever" as my in law claims? No haha. Don't get me wrong it's a really good burger place but the price for my entire meal was around $35. Definitely got what I paid for but I think you can get a quality burger with fries and drink for a way cheaper price. And you know with a working soda machine. I would say get a burger fix here if you got the money for it. The Mike Tyson did definitely knock me out!

Chicken is cooked perfectly: With the extra sauce, I was able to enjoy it alot more. For the 2nd visit, mac daddy and fries (chicken sandwich with mac and cheese). I normally don't eat chicken sandwich with mac and cheese, but it looks real good. Sure enough, it was delicious. Service is quick and great. We probably could have split one and been perfectly happy, which says a lot. And their fries that come alongside are a meal unto themselves, the kind of portion that could realistically feed a small crowd. The sandwiches are a bit of a commitment in the best way, which is to say they are rich and filling and you will absolutely need a nap afterwards. For a quick celebratory bite though, it really did the job. Will definitely be back.

They are famous for their pastrami sandwiches, so my wife, our neighbor friend, and I took the short drive to this one location in Long Beach. The pastrami was really good. We've passed by this location many, many times, and I mistakenly grouped it with the many other male name hamburger walk-ups in Long Beach, but owned by Vietnamese (the name 'Tam' was supposedly just made up, to represent an easy-to-remember name for the restaurant). So we planned a Friday lunch date (bit before noon). There was a long drive-thru line which blocked parking spots, but my wife patiently found a good spot for easier exiting. It's a typical fast food set-up, with ordering and paying (CC accepted) done first, with the food being picked up once your name is called. It was busy, with most people getting pick-up or drive-thru, thus took a little bit of time for our food to be prepared, but was nicely served fresh and hot (which makes a huge difference for greasy food like this). Pastrami Sandwich Special ($19.99) - the thinly sliced beef was stacked high, on a non-descript hoagie roll, with a few pickle slices and cheese to dress (so the flavor of the meat was important here, and I really liked it). They must go through a lot of these, since the pre-sliced meat was still juicy, not having sit around being kept warm. The combo came with really good thick cut fries and a soda (Coke products, assuming no refills). We ended up splitting the sandwich, and half of it would have been enough to fill me up. I understand now why this version of pastrami would be a good choice for a burrito or to top fries. Patty Melt ($5.79) - this was OK, a good way to cheaply satisfy hunger pangs. It had been griddled well, to give the hearty bread a satisfying crunch...but it was really oily (mainly from the oil used to grill). Fried Chicken Sandwich ($11.99) - my wife like this, with it using the same soft bread as the pastrami, but this dressed with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. They use pounded breaded chicken patties, definitely the way it was made in the 80's before Chick-fil-e became the norm. There is a web site for Tam's Burgers, but it is for the restaurant chain located in the Inland Empire (split off from this original branch in 1992). There is no web site for the original Tam's locations in LA County (which means any search on the web for official pages, only brings back the IE ones), but watchers of the 2022 Super Bowl would have noticed a two story replica of their 21st store at the half time show. Each store is semi-autonomous, with this being the only location in Long Beach, named #44.

So I explained to her that I did not say it was hers. That I simply wanted them to please be careful, because this is a sanitary issue. I did not tell her about me biting down and there was something hard in the hamburger and I had to spit out the bite because I didn't know what it was. It could have been anything. I now have more issue. I am not satisfied how she handled the entire situation. The lack of concern. Her telling me the hair was not hers. Her offering me to bring it back. But the issue is I drove from work to get it. And I'm not about to bring it back. That is an inconvenience. Also I did not like the fact that when I asked to speak to a manager, she said what is the problem. Then I had to ask her are you the manager, then she said yes. I asked for her name and she mumbled something. But my real issue is now the overall experience. The lack of concern and the way she handled my complaint. Now you might be thinking I'm just a critic. But that is not true. I have changed my opinion about this place due to my findings. Also it is such an inconvenience to leave my job, drive back down there. When I don't like how they handled the situation in the first place. But if you want to continue to eat there. That is your business, but I'm not a happy camper with my experience.

Small things that can put a damper on a restaurant that might earn more stars otherwise. The Willow St location: the salad bar is unasanitary!! It sits low and I have seen guys literally speak into the salad. It looks dirty when containers spill over too! I heard the owner speak on radio (KFI) and thought he made a lot of sense and had a nice restaurant group. It just shows, he needs to supervise his staff demeanor at Ocean, and cleanliness at Willow. I am sorry and I mean no harm. I have been a customer since 2020 when I moved to Long Beach and it saddens me to state the above.
