Came here on my off day for a nice morning brunch. I was able to sit pretty quickly with a full house and the service was great. The staff are extremely friendly and were very aware of my needs. It definitely felt like I was in a family home which I love! I went during Valentine's month so they had very cute decorations all around. I didn't have to wait too long for my food. The location of the brunch spot is very cute, it's loud outside but nice sunlight! The service was amazing, those servers were ON IT. My one thing that threw me off was my egg benedict, the yolk was over cooked so I wasn't able to get that ooze I was looking for from a poached egg.. but still very delicious :) Recommend it for brunch with friends! Wow my huevos rancheros was so sad (both in looks and taste). The spanish sauce on it tasted just like regular store-bought Tostitos salsa and everything was in a soft mushy mess. I regretted not getting the vegetarian mix or some kind of eggs scramble. It looked like another table got it and it looked much better. The biscuit was also too soft. I didn't have the gravy because it's not vegetarian. The loaded home fries were delicious though! Must have! Service was super nice but definitely quite slow. Took us half an hour to get our orders in but once we did, everything came out super fast. Don't come here if you've got somewhere to go later but it's a good spot to chill and catch up. I prefer my scrambled egg on the soft side and they do them well here. I love the crispy home fries and the sausage link were cooked to perfection. They have indoor dining seating and the outdoor patio is super nice, perfect when the weather is nice outside. STEPH JUDGEMENT: Solid breakfast option in the LBC. Eggs Etc has become one of our fave breakfast spots for their good food, service, and reasonable prices. It generally doesn't get quite mobbed like coffee cup or breakfast bar and they open earlier than most other spots, if you're the early bird type. The food is typical diner fare, nothing fancy, but as such, they're good at what they do. I've tried several different items and they've all been good. Their home fries are crisp (I didn't even have to ask for then well done), and the banana pancakes are A+. Their patio is very pleasant on a warm day and their service has always been great. 02/17/24 I have driven by here numerous times and always say I'll try this place soon - years have passed and I finally did it. Met with my friend for breakfast and she wanted outside seating. It was a beautiful morning so it was perfect. Got there about 8:30am and there was no one on the patio. I ordered the Baja omelette: Chorizo, onions, sour cream, avocado and cheese. It comes with country potatoes and one side. I got a pancake and it was huge! I loved my meal. It was so good. It had a slight spice to it which I loved because I'm not crazy about too much spice. My friend ordered the eggs Benedict. She is very particular of how the egg should be made. She said it was slightly overcooked but gave it a 8/10. It did give her the runny yolk she was looking for but still slightly overcooked. The two waiters who tended to us were so nice and attentive. I genuinely enjoy every part of eating here. The service is amazing ALWAYS. their food is always out quick and it's so fresh. I tried their BLT today and I don't know why but such a simple sandwich was made deliciously and I will be getting that again. Their California eggs Bennie was so so creamy and delicious. My son and I stopped by for breakfast and had a frustrating experience right from the start. When we walked in, we asked for a booth, but the waitress directed us to a very small table placed right in between two large families. It felt cramped and awkward--like we'd be in the way--not just uncomfortable for us, but for the other guests as well. We politely asked if we could wait for something else. I noticed an open table that could seat four just a couple of tables over, with no one waiting to be seated, so I asked if we could sit there instead. The waitress said it was being held for a "large party," even though no one was there at the time. That didn't make much sense, especially since we were already there, ready to order and eat. It was frustrating to see a perfectly good table sit empty. We ended up leaving feeling overlooked. I understand trying to plan ahead, but there should be some flexibility for customers who are actually there ready to eat!! For the size of this spot and menu prices I suggest to go elsewhere. If I could give the place zero stars I would. The food was absolutely horrendous The eggs Benedict was disgusting black flavor and just didn't taste like egg Benedict by any means. Almost everything was literally BURNT down to the pancakes, the toast, the bacon, and don't get me started on the fruit. It looked like someone sucked the life out of it, it was extraordinary PALE and lifeless. Also the coffee cup was stained, seems like it was already used. Today was a really busy day at Eggs Etc. But even though it was busy the staff kept their cool and friendliness. I love this restaurant it feels very cozy and quaint. I've been wanting to try a new breakfast place cause I can not keep going to the same one. A co-worker who also lives in Long Beach suggested o try Eggs Ect and I was happy to try it. It's in a little corner and if you blink your mostly to pass it up. It gives off a cute mom and pop feel which is always my favorite type of breakfast spots. It gives off a great place to grab food with a friends after a fun night out a cone as you are place .As usually let's get into the reason you are here: I got the pancake combo with home fries and about $15 bucks which is a really good deal. It came with 2 pancakes, eggs, and bacon. I added the home fries cause they did not have hash browns. Pancake: so got two huge pancakes they covered an entire plate. I will admit these pancakes where not light and fluffy more so dense but in a good way. They where very filling but did not make you feel stuffed. I would most likely get the French toast next time. Eggs; I'll admit these gave off box scrambled eggs but I do know if you order any other type of egg they come with fresh eggs. I do not mind the box eggs because I was a true I hope person in college. The eggs were a bit heavy but still delicious. Home fries: I wish they would of Cooke them longer giving more of a crispy taste unfortunately they gave off a more mushy mashed potatoes than home fries. I think it they allowed them to make a bit more crispy it would of make it taste bette, they did add onions which gave it a good flavor. Bacon: Yea the bacon was my favorite part it was thick juicy and cooked perfectly. I wish I knew where they got their bacon and how they cook it. I could of eaten an pack of their cooked bacon. If you are wanting a easy breakfast spot to by than I would give Eggs a try. You can not order on line or uses a delivery service.
