Have they given up here? are they closing? They act like it. The young woman in the front was extremely nice and helpful if not for her they would have 1 star. Burger was dry, very dry no juice at all and cold. like the patty was pre cooked and sitting and they warmed it up. I have been wanting to try this burger spot for awhile now. And since we were in the area we decided to stop in. Hangry Belly is a burger spot known for their delicious burgers and tasty fries. Once you order your food they give you a beeper that tells you when your food is ready for pick up. I decided to order the $10.99 Chez Burger & the $8.99 Pig n Fries both of which were fantastic! The worker was friendly and recommended both items. However the burger was just a plain burger which was a little overpriced since it wasn't stuffed with anything other than cheese, lettuce and tomato. One of those cool places to hang out on a Sunday afternoon and watch the game because of the great seating areas. The young woman at the window had a great energy about her and instructed that the waffle fries were her fav over the regular fries so I took her suggestion. I also ordered the Fire Belly Burger but substituted with a turkey patty. The allure of the nutty flavor of arugula followed by the temptation of spicy aioli and Thia pickled chilies hello spice please visit me. Everything described on the burger completely delivered the spice of the aioli comes through subtle and the pickled chilies are a delayed heat as in after you eat them count to three and swoosh a warm heat comes through your pallet that lets you know it's there but not overpowering. And then goes away three seconds later. The combinations work but it was still not enough to save this burger. The extra thick frozen turkey patty was too dry for aioli and chili pepper to resuscitate. I thought perhaps the more I eat the better it will be. I really wanted to like it but I only ate half the burger. It became something I ate because it was edible not that it was flavorful. Next was the fries and if you've read any of my reviews you know fries are life to me. If it's between fries and a family member I would have to think about how much the family member means to me lol. So usually Waffle fries are big and you get about 6-10 fries which is a reason why I don't like them but these were to my delight in size they were made small and seasoned. After the first couple I noticed the flavor but unfortunately is was overpowered but the grease that it was fried in and in this case it seemed like the grease was old. This has to be the biggest joke ever. We ordered the tri trip fries for $10. The fries came in a small to go container & 7 tri tip pieces. I am not exaggerating when I say 7 pieces. Went to try out Hangry Belly over the weekend and it did not disappoint! I tried out the Chez burger, Fire Belly, We Be Jammin, and the Pig n fries. The Chez burger is just a simple cheeseburger, so there wasn't anything unique about this one. However the fire belly has a unique taste and is great for those who love spicy food! The we be Jammin was my favorite burger as it had a unique onion and bbq flavor that I really enjoyed. The highlight and best dish was the pig n fries. I highly recommend trying out these fried as they are loaded with cheese, bacon, and other sauces. The location of this place is at the Steelcraft which provides a ton of outdoor seating that is spaced apart as well as hand sanitizer everywhere. Hangry Belly is located inside of SteelCraft in this neat outdoor area that is somehow enclosed. There is plenty of seating and sunshine (or shade if that's what you prefer)! Hangry Belly has a regular menu, which features a variety of burgers and loaded fries. I got the "We Be Jammin" burger which does have jam on it. This burger was so juicy and cooked perfectly! The bun was soft, the jam gave this burger a little sweet, and all of the veggies were fresh and delicious! I paired my burger with a side of regular fries, which were good and has that double-fries crispy coating on them, but the loaded fries looked amazing, and I want to try those next time! Everything was delicious, and the staff were so friendly and sweet! Definitely check this spot out. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Perfect on taste and service was friendly. They give you an option of how you'd like your burger to be cooked. It's a little more expensive than I'd like. I got the jammin burger and that was $12+ with tax. Waffle fries were separate and another $4 or so. But they were tasty also. Tip: covid-19 rules is.. if you want to drink from smog city, you need to stand in line with smog city first to pay for a $7 food voucher ticket. Then you bring the ticket to order food. Then you bring your stamped ticket to show smog city and then you are served your beer. So if you want to drink, you'll be standing in three lines to order a drink. Which is fine since we are in crazy times. But I wish there were some signs telling us this! This place is located where Pig Pen used to be over at Steelcraft on LB Blvd/Bixby. And let me tell you, it is by far better than its predecessor. Far less greasy and much more flavorful; the burgers are light but satisfying. Each burger has it's own flavor profile. They have beef, turkey, chicken and beyond. There are other menu options such as a salad and I think chicken tenders (for the kids), but I only came for the burgers/sandwiches. I tried *Fire Belly*, which so far is my personal favorite. The thai pickled chilies are fire. I also tried *Green Ting*, the cilantro aioli really gave this burger great flavor. This is my first time trying a beyond patty, and it is not my cup of tea. My husband tried *We Be Jammin'*, and he was blown away. It instantly became his favorite, the caramelized onions and proscuitto definitely did it for him. My 7 year old tried the *Plain-O-Cheeseburger and he gave it a thumbs up, with a score of 10/10. Most kids like it plain and simple, so this is the perfect burger. so, i think i may have had a horrible experience, so maybe this review isn't of the norm for them. when i got there today, the gal (who was very sweet) mentioned that they ran out of beef patties and the cook ran to smart and final for more. she warned me it would be about 5-10 min before the food could get started. i said ok, can i order anyway? (i expected like 15-20 min for our food in that case, manageable...) well 25 min passed, food still wasn't ready. then longer. after almost 35 min i went to check again... she said it would be right out. but then didn't know what our order was and my kid's was a burger and mine a turkey burger... they didn't make my turkey burger, but made a regular burger. so it would be another 5 min to make a new one. i asked for it to go, since i had to be somewhere and she packed it up (this was another ten min). the kid's burger was cold by then, and the patty was hard. mine was covered in aioli, like smothered. i could not taste anything. there also was no arugula, which was the main reason i ordered it. that's my favourite thing on any burger. she gave me an extra drink for the apology, but i would have rather had a whole different meal from somewhere else that was fresh and good. this is probably a one off experience, but it was super off. it is a bummer, because the photos look like they do in fact make really good food. i would love to give it a second try, but that's not a risk i want take, not when i am visiting from the l.a. area. i do appreciate that the girl was very apologetic. read more

I told my wife to try this place since we wanted a good burger. My wife told me the cashier had a bad attitude and wasn't helpful at all. I wanted a bacon cheeseburger. I chose to try out the "basic biscuit sando" and for my protein choice I chose sausage. This sandwich has a spiced honey sauce,2 sausage pattie's and soft scrambled eggs with melted cheese all on a fresh baked buttermilk biscuit. This sandwich was AMAZING, I now understand what people mean when they say love at first bite.. because this sandwich was exactly that!! A buttery and flaky biscuit, Juicy sausage, perfectly creamy and soft scrambled eggs and then drizzled with that spiced honey for that perfect balance of heat and sweet.I loved everything bite of this meal! We ordered the biscuits and gravy with an egg and the sausage breakfast sandwich. It took around 20min to get our food!!!
