Lunch at the goat today. First let me say I start to judge a BBQ place by the aroma as I approach - this had not smelled of a smoker or BBQ, but we pressed on. Vgood and fast service. Kinda like a deli counter. We ordered a protein bowl with KC sauce, for the tanginess, and a pulled pork sandwich. Both meals were tasty and flavorful. Worthy of 4 stars. Terrible experience -- mold on the bread Honestly, really disappointed with this place. My boyfriend ordered biscuits and gravy, and we also ordered three brisket biscuit sandwiches. When we got our food, we discovered that the bread on all three brisket sandwiches had mold on it. Not just one sandwich,all three. We were really shocked that food was being served with visible mold on the bread. This is a serious food safety issue and definitely not something you expect when eating out. She said her sandwich was average. I got the BBQ Pulled Pork Bowl with Chipotle Ranch. The taste of the quinoa did not come through, which was a good thing. Mine meal was tasty and the Chipotle Ranch was delicious. We sat outside and enjoyed the breeze for lunch. I followed the sign and put my basket on the wire rack. Less than 30 seconds later my basket almost made it out to the road with the wind. The service is top notch. You order at the counter, and they call your name after the order has been quickly made. To be honest, we were really hungry after hiking Zion NP, so anything other than trail mix would have been a welcomed dinner. Service was fast and friendly, but I was a bit disappointed with the brisket bowl: the brisket was fatty and the bowl lacked any fresh ingredients (the "roasted" veggies in the bowl tastes like they came from a can).
