A great place for a skillfully done New Mexican breakfast. I've tried their breakfast burrito and the New Mexico Bagel. Both were excellent. The service and atmosphere are both great. What would it take to get a 5th star from me? A little more variety on the menu, which is almost exclusively savory. It would be nice to have a few more options along the lines of waffles and pancakes, for those who enjoy a little sweetness when enjoying a breakfast out. read more

This was our first time there. They had a pretty full restaraunt for a Thursday morning which was a great sign. Ordered the "Sloppy Jose" (carnitas and potatoes) and the "Heavenly Hash" (smothered hash browns with carne adovada). The food was delicious, the chile had good flavor. Service was great. I really, really enjoyed this cozy little kitchen. We stopped here for lunch and having never eaten here before I wasn't sure what to expect but I was immediately taken back by the chill, 'homie' vibe this spot gives off. The biggest pro was that they offer a plate of melon, ham, and cheese for $2.50 which is pretty much majority of what my 2 year old is eating right now and for that price, you can't beat it! I got the salmon salad with some cucumber dill dressing. It was phenomenal. I'm not one to brag about salads but this salad is worth bragging about. It was served on greens so fresh that they could have just been picked from their garden. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the dressing, while I was initially apprehensive, was the perfect pairing to bring out all the yummy flavors included in this dish. My friend got the tilapia quesadilla and there was just enough kick that the flavor popped and it forced me to start planning my next meal upon my return. And, return I will. Lastly, the price was right. Everything on the menu was affordable. My salad was $10 and it was a generous portion. Impressed for such a small cafe and I'll be back for sure! This was our favorite breakfast place in ABQ during our visit last week. We appreciated the options for smaller portions. The huevos rancheros we're fabulous: not too spicy chile, perfectly crispy hash browns, not greasy at all. Hubby had yummy French toast and son enjoyed the 2 egg comfort platter with pancakes. My husband drinks tons of tea and our waitress didn't let him run dry. The coffee was dark and flavorful. I went to the location on Coors Boulevard I have come to this location to the past 4 years a couple of times they messed up on my order I order egg beaters not regular eggs this last time I'm sure she mixed up the order I got real sick so when I called in and told them what they did the owner called me back about 3 hours later and told me never to come back to his place again is this any way to run a restaurant ??????I come there once a week maybe twice a week and spent on the average for $20 as far as I'm concerned he will not get my money and my business ever again I'm not the only one at this restaurant has done it too beware read more

Looked this place up here on Yelp to find a good place to eat brunch in Rio Rancho. I was hoping for more, based on the reviews, but found it was just alright. I had eggs benedict, my all-time favorite breakfast, but the version here was kind of bizarre. Poached egg on top of Canadian bacon (seemed like a slice of deli lunchmeat ham) on top of english muffin, all topped with hollandaise sauce, which I felt like I couldn't taste at all. I also wished they served the side fruit on a different plate so it didn't get yolk and hollandaise all over it. Anywho, my dad got the huevos rancheros and he said it was exactly what he was expecting. There was no wait, and the staff was friendly but not overly so. The ambience is some weird, French/Italian/Southwest cafe with lots of old mirrors as wall deco...not sure exactly what they were goin for. Ate here for the first time today. It was exactly what I had hoped that it would be - a cozy restaurant in Corrales with fresh and delicious food. We ordered off of the lunch menu. I had a burrito with potatoes and carnitas. I ordered it smothered in green. The chile was delicious as was the entire burrito. My wife ordered the cheese enchiladas with red on the side. I tried the red and it was very flavorful. If I had to order my burrito again, and I would, I would have it smothered in red. All of the food we had was served quickly and eaten quickly as it was quite tasty. Our waitress was very friendly and the atmosphere was one of warmth and locals having conversations. Yet we didn't feel out of place but rather part of a charming dining room. The dining room was in what seems to be a small house, as so many great New Mexican restaurants seem to be. The patio was full, but we will come back to sit out there because it looked very nice. After a nice lunch, we left the wonderful aromas of Hannah and Nate's and smelled the charming smell of a light rain that had just ended. A very good experience. My only warning is that the parking lot is small and was full when we arrived. It was well worth the effort to find a space though! read more

Found this place via Yelp on Friday and we're on our second visit since. Had to stop again because we're only here through today until next time we visit a friend in the area. Even he was blown away as we were and couldn't believe he hadn't paid close attention to this locale. Party of six including three pre-teens and we were all in love with the place, the service, the food and the prices instantly. Gotta try Nates Omelette because you just have to. Must have been a bad juju Monday at this cute little cafe. Had I noticed the dirty bucket&mop left off center on the floor in the small dining room where we were seated, I would have turned around and went somewhere else for lunch. All in all the meal was fine. I gave two starts due to the perception that the plump shiny rice came from a box and the "restaurant chips" off a CostCo shelf. The salsa was delicious and saved the day! Their hospitality was real nice but it was very difficult to hear what our server was saying - no doubt due to the acoustic reverb handed out by the hard surfaces of floor and walls. Beware if your card runs into trouble when paying your ticket. The cashier ran my card 4 times and then announced that my card wasn't working. Thankfully another card from my wallet was accepted by their machine. I immediately called my bank once I got home an hour later (not a local). Fearful that my account had been hacked I was quite relieved to find my funds intact. Thankfully Customer Service removed the 4 (four) pending & offending charges. Just saying......... read more

First time at Hanna and Nates. My friend raved about it as one of his favorite places for breakfast. The outdoor patio with umbrellas was comfortable even though the temp was about 92 degrees. A few problems. We wanted to taste the hot cakes but they were delivered barely warm and tough. We asked for them before our breakfast but they came out about two minutes before. What a great place! It's been awhile since we tried a restaurant that warranted a return visit. We loved the Breakfast Enchiladas and Comfort Eggs. Finally a place who can make eggs over hard, hashbrowns crisped but not greasy, nice eggy french toast. The red chile was good and the green was the best I've had. Both were on the mild side - probably because we look like mild-side people :-). We were lucky; only a 10 minute wait for a table at 10 AM. Our server, Caitlin (sorry, don't know the spelling), was informative about the food and menu and extremely efficient in the service, and charming throughout our visit. The manager stopped by our table - even during busy Balloon Fiesta week. And we really enjoyed browsing the consignment shop across the parking lot. I think I saw some future Christmas gifts. The service was good enough, but I thought it was odd that there appeared to be no male staff. Maybe they all had the day off? The menu sounded great, but I was very, very disappointed in the food quality. I had the beef and blue sandwich. When I saw roast beef on the description, I thought it would be roast beef. Instead I got some nasty deli meat. The blue cheese completely overwhelmed everything else. I had specifically asked if the potato salad offered as a side was fresh, and was told it was. I was very disappointed to be given potato salad that tasted several days, if not a week old. My companion had the fish tacos, and while the sauce they put on it was delicious, the fish itself was soaked in oil, and very overcooked. The beans that came with it tasted like they came straight out of a can. It's disappointing such a lovely location is being wasted on such sub-par food. I won't be returning. Do yourself a favor, and go across the street to the Indigo Crow. read more

Used to eat at this place once or twice a week, but when taking my 4 1/2 pound Chihuahua in 14 " Kennel with me, the manager made such a big deal of my not having her service dog papers that I left and have not returned. I was spending probably $2500 a year including tips in this place. Such a shame when a person with a small amount of authority, forgets how to use tact to enhance their self importance. They do enough business that I am sure my small contribution to their income was not missed. Now I just go to Weck's or Milley's which has a much better menu and food quality. Neither of these places have a problem of having a tiny service dog in a cage sitting beside me. read more
