Today is Saturday, July 4, 2026, Hendersonville is having a festival, and we were in town and we have eaten at Hannah Flanigan's in the past we figured we'd go there for lunch, we got there at 1:15 pm, the place was half packed, We took a few minutes to decide what we wanted. I ordered a Smithwick's ale and my wife got a Diet Coke. A waitress who spent a fair amount of time chit chatting with the table next to us while we waited, finally asked what we wanted for lunch. I love their corned beef and cabbage soup I ordered a bowl of that, and I ordered the fish sandwich with a side of zesty fried pickles and jalapeños, my wife ordered the traditional Fish and chips. 3 items right easy enough to remember? Took about 15 to 20 minutes for our food to come out the waitress set my wife's fish and chips in front of her. She set my fish sandwich in front of me, and said will there be anything else? I said yes please scratch the soup I ordered, the shocked look on her face said it all, "I'll go get it right now", um NO I wanted an appetizer, not soup and sandwich. 2 of 3 items The fish and chips were as good as they always are, however, the fish sandwich was below par and had a weird Spice in the batter that I didn't care for. I ate half of it and left the rest. my wife was full after eating one of the two pieces of fish so I finished off the other piece. The fries used to be steak cut, they used to be great. Now they went to some weird curly thin cut, which are easily overcooked. In my opinion the spicy pickles and jalapeños were dry and over fried. The bill came to $42, for which I would have left a 18% tip $7.5, divide that by 3 (items) I left $5 tip, 2 out of 3. I don't think we'll be coming back. So sad we used to love this place. But in this day and age, no one cares. read more

Stopped here while it was pouring rain. The food is perfect Irish pub fare. Fish and chips, bangers and mash,reuben, and shepherds pie were all great. The atmosphere is also straight Irish pub. Our server, Mikayla, did a fabulous job. read more

We arrived July 4th at 1258 pm. The room had approx 16 tables ( depending on room configuration at the time). There was one table of 6 adults and we made the 5th table of 2 adults. Not busy. The waitress arrived at 1314 to get drink orders and we received drinks at 1316, and placed our order. Food arrived at 1334. My husband's order was incorrect ( missing his soup which he requested ahead of the meal). My side was coleslaw with an entree of fish and chips. I learned later there are actually choices for sides but weren't offered. I think part of the problem is that is become normal for wait staff not to write down orders. That's cool if it works, but it didn't hear. The entree was good. The cod was flaky with a generous portion. She did not happen to check on us during our meal and we left after paying the tab at 1403. This is only the 6th time in a couple of years we've come here, but honestly the service has gone downhill and my husband could not eat his fish sandwich because the taste was "weirdly spiced" . We were big fans but we won't be back. The food and service aren't good enough for the prices. I wish them the best. Hopefully things will revert to the fun and quality of previous years read more

Fish and chips came out fresh, hot and crispy. My husband, who's British and used to pub food, had bangers and mash. He thought the gravy was good, bangers were just ok and the bed of cabbage was way overcooked and mushy. He appreciates that they pull a good pint of Guinness. As locals, we will always return, but the place sorely needs a refresh. It feels tired, and somewhat uncared for. Paint and a deep cleaning, especially in the restrooms, would really be beneficial. read more

My brother and family came to my moms lake house up near Cedar Mountain 25 minutes south of Brevard. They heard about this Irish restaurant so we went. IT's about 20 miles one way. We all had a great meal together. I had their fish and chips. I liked it portions were small to me My Mom had been there before and thought my fish wasn't cooked enough. Could have been new oil. Hadn't eaten there in seven years...it was good then and it was damn good today. I had fish and chips and a cup of cabbage soup The broth alone was worth the price and the added veggies and tender corned beef sent it over the top. The cod filet was almost 1 1/2 thick and tasty...the coating could have been a bit thicker, it was whimpy. The accompanying fries were just perfect and the slaw was very good too. My wife had the Reuben sandwich and found it to be tender, generous and flavorful. Prices were fair and the staff friendly and efficient. I inadvertently left my 40 year old flight jacket there and when I returned over an hour later I was relieved to learn they had tucked it carefully away for its owner. Several Camping buddies are in the Pisgah Forest area. We try and pick a unique place to eat whenever we go to an area to camp. After chasing down some waterfalls today we decided to give Hannah Flanagan's Pub at try. We are all glad we did. The staff was great from our initial greeting to the service and when we left... Between the 5 of us ordered 3 different entrees. The two who ordered the Reuben and the 2 who ordered the Shepherd's Pie all took home part of the generous portions in our to-go boxes. The one of us who ordered the Fish and Chips - well, he can put down some food! Located in the downtown section the inside of the place kinda takes you over the pond to what an Irish Pub might look like. We all would suggest you give it a try - we don't think you'll be disappointed! PS - to me the best way to earth the Shepherd's Pie is to dumps it out into another plate to get all the good stuff mixed in together! read more

10-4-24 Friday night 10 pm Walked up the street from the Henderson Inn where we are staying. This was a fun place and everyone was so Southern warm and friendly. We ordered drinks and due to the Hurricane Helene internet was down so cash only. No worries I have lived through enough Hurricanes to know to always have cash. The bartender was amazing she was able to handle the crowds at the bar with ease. We met a lovely local couple as well as the owner. Definitely so down to earth. We could see ourselves coming back again the next time we are in town. Note hubby was happy they carried his Hendricks gin. The place had plenty of seating and we grabbed a table with our new friends. This place is a great addition to the Downtown Shops and Restaurants. read more

Food was so bad. The kids hamburger patty was a grey slimy refrozen patty while the adult hamburger was a totally different type of meat. Clam chowder congealed, chicken tenders were extremely gristly and stretchy. Couldn't even get the kids to eat a turkey sandwich. Do not recommend. read more

We came with friends to the Apple Festival and stopped in for lunch. They had a modified menu and we each tried something different, boneless wings, fish and chips, beefsteak sandwich and a traditional Reuben. Everything was fantastic. We'll definitely be back. This place is always busy, but there are many good reasons for that. They have an extensive beer menu, a variety of foods, and most important to me, an assortment of Irish dishes. This is about as close to a pub as you're going to get in North Carolina. read more

It's a good Irish Pub style bar and restaurant. The bangers and mash are always on point and they have a good beer selection. I prefer to go just after the lunch rush, as I'm not too fond of how loud it can get. But that's personal preference. read more

It's basically the Cheers of Hendersonville. I was a regular here when I lived in the area (ten years about ten years ago) and it feels like home when I come back for a visit. The food is amazing, staff is warm and welcoming, and the beer list is great. Local brews, some interesting ones from afar and the standard domestics. Prices are fair. Irish Pub feel, with plenty of space. Rarely too rowdy to be able to hold a conversation. read more

In town enjoying the sights and weather. We looked for a spot to eat and one of the few open in January was this restaurant. There was plenty of seating. We sat and ordered some soup and sandwiches to feed our bellies and warm us up. The service was good and the food came out quickly, tasted great and was a generous portion. The French onion soup was absolutely great and we tasted the chili and it was amazing. Next time we went up to come in and have some adult beverages while we have our lunch. read more

Great food, great service, a traditional Irish dive bar. We got the crispy onions and 1/2 order of pot roast. The crispy onions (and ranch) were amazing--love the shoestring type of onions rings over the larger versions. Inhaled them. Pot roast was great too. Good amount of meat, mashed potatoes, and gravy. I would definitely come back here to try the other traditional Irish dishes (and to get the crispy onions again). Despite the great food, the place seemed to need at least one more waiter. I came in here while walking around downtown Hendersonville checking out the shops and wanted to get a little lunch and I heard good things about their food and drinks. Love the Main Street area in Hendersonville NC! Very home town USA feel. Happy people walking around. I had the chicken philly and it was perfectly cooked, full of veggies and Swiss. Yummy! It was decent for late night food, kinda expensive food but decent priced drinks. The philly cheese steak had mushrooms which was weird.. it was also very salty, wished there were more fries! I used to eat here a lot. I moved away and am back for the first time in a couple of years. The service as always was great. I had the fish and chips and the fish as usual was spot on. Unfortunately the chips left much to be desired. They used to have the best potato medallions but have replaced them some kind of apparently frozen seasoned fried abomination. They replaced one of the best items on the menu with something barely palatable. I used to brag about their potatoes. Looks like it's only a memory now. If it was a cost issue, please know that I would have happily paid more for the medallions. read more
