The owner acts completely irrationally. She has absolutely no management skills, doesn't know how to handle the business professionally. No protocol to be followed just rudeness. I had read that this place was a bit of a dive soccer bar but had one of the best burgers in town. They have a great burger special that comes with a beer on Monday and Tuesday so we decided to give them a try. Food truck was friendly and we ordered up 2 of the specials, were given some wooden tokens to turn into the bartender for beers. Unfortunately, they could only be redeemed for a couple of canned mainstream beers and one local draft. Wish they would allow you to pay a buck or two more and allow a draft beer of choice, but it was fine. Sat at the bar and bartender never said 2 words to us, was busy chatting with some friends or locals at the other end of the bar. Burger and fries came quickly. Burger was just ok and fries were cold, so definitely no where near the best burger in town. It was a bit dry and had some basic iceberg lettuce and onion, nothing special. At 10 in the morning I parked in their lot to walk across the street, not seeing any signs saying I couldn't. when I got out of my car, an older male worker came up to me and was extremely rude. He asked if I was there for a game, and I said no. he said I needed to move right now and I said okay, then he proceeded to say "you know, there's an entire road to park on." The entire encounter was so rude and totally turnt me off from their business. This man needs to learn how to get his words across in a way that isn't extremely rude. Been here before, and enjoyed my time. was told that 18+ could get in for the Mexico world cup game. There were no signs or anything, and we walked in and out of the building. Also my self and my friends are SOBER, we were there for the game all of us are 22 except out 20 year old friend. We were in the building to watch the game and were not trying to buy drinks at all. NO ONE was at the door to check IDs at all. There was no instruction what so ever. We were chased down and yelled at to show our IDs, then yelled at and accused of being under and trying to drink. He didn't tell us if we could sit outside or not, he just told us we had to "get the fuck out". So we sat outside to see if we could watch the game, and to ask someone. The same guy who yelled at us came out side and yelled at us, and was very rude. It was honestly really embarrassing and mean as fuck. He singled us out of everyone and accused us of being liars. Someone had told us the day before that it would be fine for our friend to come in, and no one was checking IDs at the door. I have honestly not had a worse experience at a bar, and the way that dude handled it was very inappropriate and insulting. We will not be back. read more

The bartenders give incredible service and treat you like a regular customer they serve weekly. A good place to catch a soccer game. We were in town for an amateur soccer tournament. The boys got knocked out sooner than they expected, so we found ourselves free to watch the Arsenal game on the particular day of our visit in real time and with others. Someone in our group had discovered this spot, so here we went. It was BUSY and literally bursting with Arsenal fans. So we felt welcome and at home. There were little pockets of opposing team fans, but everyone was pretty cool and chill with each other. The bar area is SMALL and there were only 2 bartenders working. So lines for drinks were long and fairly slow moving. So we opted for one person in line getting a round for a handful of people. A small but decent offering of beers with a cider on tap as well. We enjoyed what we got and things tasted the way they should. It is a small place, but great for the purpose it served for us. Plenty of televisions and enough sound in all areas to hear what was going on. We know where to go if we find ourselves in Asheville on a premier league game day again! read more

Olde London Road Pub was okay. Being dart players, we were glad that they had a dart board. Also, they had a huge TV and a pool table. I was a little disappointed they didn't serve food. Happened upon this bar as we were technically chasing the Zia Taqueria food truck that was in its parking lot. Tacos and cocktails-win win! They had a great makeshift outside seating area set up. Large picnic tables and canopy's for sun coverage. Inside had a very soccer influenced vibe. Lots of local beers on tap and cans, as well as cocktail options. The bartender was very nice and helpful as we had never been here before. Technically it is a members only joint, so one of us had to sign up (no cost) and two others could be their guest. On the bar was a sign for the days special offering- the Zia Rita. A margarita sounded good on this warm, sunny day and only a $1 more for top shelf? Sign me up! Zia's mixer was great as nicely tart and a little sweet. I demolished that cocktail quickly. I decided to switch to a beer next. Bartender helped me settle on one to my liking. I'm not from the area so I don't know if I'll ever be back, but encourage locals to check this place out if they haven't. read more

He was really cool, knowledgeable, and offered recommendations based on your preferences in a way that wasn't off-putting. My friend asked me to order her a gose from the bar. When there were 2 options Jason let me take the cans outside to her so she could pick! Beyond the respectable beer selection, there was plenty of liquor to choose from as well. Visiting avl for the weekend and stumbled upon this while driving thru town. Then stumbled again while perusing the art district. So cool- they show premier league games 7:30am when there's a morning game (even on a Sunday!) so stoked to pop in tomorrow so we can get our Chelsea FC fix for the weekend and love to be in the atmosphere with camaraderie. This place is awesome. It's kind of hidden and off the beaten path, but's it's among all of the other attractions and restaurants in downtown. It's a cozy little British-style pub. It felt like I was going to watch an English Premiere League game at a London pub on gameday. There's darts, pool, and other games as well. There's a nice selection of drinks and they're pretty cheap too. You're not paying $7 for a beer like you are at most other places. The staff and bartenders were also super cool and friendly. This would be a great spot to watch a game. Also, it wasn't too crowded or empty, just the right amount of people as it's hidden from the drunken swarms outside. TVs are not synchronized - "First come, first served" policy if you want the sound turned on. We had an OK experience here watching Argentina-Brazil (Copa America 7/21). The TV outside (patio) and the TV inside were not synchronized. So, we could hear people's reactions to the goals inside before seeing them on our screen (we experienced delays of 15 seconds). We couldn't sit inside because the game was in the evening, and we had the kids with us (kids are not allowed inside after 8:00 pm). However, we went back to watch another game, not as important (Argentina-Italy, Finalissima 6/1/22), and they told us they couldn't turn the sound on. The sound could only be turned on the main screen, and another game was happening simultaneously (shown on the main screen). They couldn't even turn the sound on the screen outside. They do "first come, first served," and we got there after the people who were watching the game shown on the main screen. I wasn't informed of this policy when I asked their customer service person before making plans to go, or I would have arrived earlier or chosen another place. So, I'd only go back if I can sit indoors and if I'm watching the game shown on the main screen with the sound ON. Thanks! read more

Great bar for watching sports and hanging out with friends. The bartenders are absolutely untrained, unprofessional and borderline racist. My wife was trying to speak to them, and they became angry and began to chant and clap at her in a hostile manner. I walked over to find out what was going on, at which point they told me to step back and that I must not be used to having my WHITE PRIVILEGE taken away....these bartenders must have a significant chip on their shoulders about race, because they became very hostile with us after that. We will not be returning to this fake-woke racist bar ever again. read more
