I have never gotten my nails done so badly. I first went to this shop to get a pedicure and it was done amazingly and the lady was so nice that I even decided to get a manicure. I can't remember her name, but I believe she was the owner and she was so cool! But when I came back for the second time I got acrylics and let me just say, I left embarrassed to show my hands, I wish I had pictures of how bad they were. I got a almond shape and every finger was crooked and uneven! The paint was lumpy. I guess the lady was proud of her work because she took pictures afterwords but I was horrendous. "I have found my new home for my manicure and pedicure needs!" I tend to be an individual who doesn't like change. However, when my coworker suggested a new nail shop to me, I jumped at the opportunity. Partially because the nail shop I had been frequenting for years, never really thrilled me and often times I left the shop not liking my nails. I called Simply Polished and was able to get in on the same day (during my lunch to be exact). Tammy did a WONDERFUL job with my nails (gel). Honestly, it's been two weeks and no chipping or anything wrong with them for that matter. There is an adequate color selection and all the products are of good quality. I say this because I have been in nail shops where the polish was very dated (clumpy and overused). Not the case at Simply Polished. The ambience of Simply Polished is warm, inviting and calming. Had bad experiences here both times. I got dip nails and the girl filed my nails down so short she was filing off my nail beds! The nails turned out cute but two days later they all chipped. I went back and got them fixed only to find out they had been done incorrectly. And then a few days later again the rest of the nails chipped. I decided to not go back after that. read more

A true spa experience and wonderful & friendly ladies!!! I came in today for a gel mani and regular pedi and was blown away with the level of relaxation I experienced! The massage chairs are above and beyond any I've ever sat in in the past and are reason enough to go back. The second would be the treatment from Laura and Lille. The foot massage was sooo much longer than I am used to and phenomenal! I'm super happy with my nails and will absolutely be coming back. It's a little steep in pricing ($65) but worth every penny to indulge in periodically! read more

My mother and I were able to call and get appointments the same day for 2 pedis and I desperately needed my acrylics fixed. I would recommend calling first though, as it is a smaller shop. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a reminder text. There was a little bit of waiting but understandably so for a Saturday. Also everyone seemed to be regulars, which is always a good sign. Stumbled upon this place during my trip to Monterey! This place was so cute, clean, and the staff was really welcoming. They had great variety of gel colors, but I think I happened to get the wrong tech for my manicure. I got a gel mani and gel pedi, and the pedicurist was great -- took her time, knew how to make the color just right, and really spent time making sure everything was even. The manicurist I had was stepping in for the normal person, who was busy at the time, and she took half the time the pedicurist did. The next day in the light, you could see splotches of my nail through the gel color, some areas at the base of the nail weren't colored, and by the second day, everything was already chipping. The manicurist didn't really spend much time buffing my nails and ensuring they were all an even shape. I had broken a nail the day before, leaving it jagged, and half of it was still bumpy after she was done. The plus side -- I love the color! Overall, had a lovely time, but I would go back if the normal manicurist was there. The prices for gel are more expensive there than in San Francisco. read more

We found Simply Polished here on Yelp. We made appointments at about 1:30 for 4:30 pm. We showed up and both found street parking right away with NO issue. My friend KK and I got there and were taken care of right away. Everything is very clean, the space has a spa like feel, There is a good selection of polish colors, the women working there are so sweet and friendly. While working on us another woman came in as asked about being taken as a walk in. They were able to squeeze her in too. So with three of us in there we got in and out, chatted, laughed, and never felt rushed or in a hurry. The best part: my toes look great and no dirty looks because I forgot to shave my legs. Bad: Okay, this I had to reach for but the only thing I can think of is they close at 6:00 pm and are not open Sun and Mon. If you need an evening appointment or want to be seen Sunday you're out of luck. I HIGHLY recommend this location for getting your nails done. FYI: Mani w/ reg polish $17 Mani w/ gel polish $30 Peti $40 (I think, maybe $35 I can't remember) Full set of lashes -first time- $185 (Yes, they do lashes too!) Popped in on a Saturday morning with no appointment and was promptly greeted. Was seen in about 20-30 minutes (which was spot-on with their wait estimate). My nail gal (Lilly, I think?) was super friendly and thanked me for my patience (thoughtful but unnecessary since I was a walk-in) and then did a great job on my gel manicure. Great service and attention to detail, reasonable price ?$30). Very clean establishment--you can see them cleaning/soaking tools, using liners in the pedicure bowls, and when she dropped the nail file on the floor she chucked it in the trash and got a fresh one.
