January 2025, I wrote a review on Hannah's Bar and Grill. I love the place. So cutely decorated, friendly and welcoming staff, always trying to and accomplishing pleasing me as a customer. I was hungry for curry. I don't know anywhere that curry is served in "fancy dishware" prepared while I watch the kitchen. My husband ordered 1/2 chicken with spices, and we ordered Naan. All were delicious. From the first time (January 2025) we entered the restaurant we interacted with the owner/manager. This has not changed. However, last night I felt concern for the restaurant. Even with all the 69/37/465 re-routing, this restaurant is off the "beaten path" Every day they offer an all you can eat buffet and say it is profitable. However, without dinner traffic, I worry that they will not be successful in the future. There was one other couple besides us and people came in for carry out. Maybe it is the heat, hot dogs and hamburgers or people have forgotten this gem. My husband and I haven't. Will we go back, you betcha. read more

I've been twice. I ate in person once and my experience was excellent! Everything I ate was so delicious! The service was pretty good, even though you could tell they were still finding their rhythm. The ambiance is much nicer than I was expecting given the bar and grill in the name. When I ordered take out, I didn't enjoy my food as much when I carried out. What a pleasure to dine at Hannah's. It's beautiful inside and an added plus is that you can see the kitchen and the busy chefs inside. This gives a sense that they truly want to share the kitchen with their audience. Wonderfully friendly service and very quick too. Standouts were the goat curry, dal makhani, veg samosas, and superb naan. They encouraged us to try the weekday and Sunday buffet and we will definitely do that! My husband went to a business meeting there and so being the wife that I am, I immediately had to look at the menu and name a couple of things that I want to try. I am a butter paneer expert and when I take cruises I usually get the vegetarian options which are often Indian, but not cruise food like the rest of the cruise mains. Indian food on a cruise ship is a delicacy. This was that. This was delectable. I told my husband that I wanted to try something vegetarian and lentil-y. The owner himself actually delivered and I think this dish was called Amritsari daal Makhani, but I may be wrong. It was delicious and flavorful in a way that I can once again only describe as cruise line Indian food. I also tried the Vegetable Manchurian, which was super spicy but also delicious and I ate it with my garlic naan because I believe that naan is a vessel for ANY food. It's really the greatest bread ever invented. I can't wait to plan an afternoon lunch buffet visit to try more Indian cuisine. This one obviously knocked it all the way out of the park and I cannot WAIT to tell my colleagues about this so we can get lunch! read more

We had a lovely first visit here over the weekend. They offer a daily lunch buffet even on the weekends. We were hoping to check out a new spot and something that would be fairly quick with the kids and offer us a chance to sample a variety of dishes. Hannah's did not disappoint. Upon entering, we were greeted by a very friendly woman who made the whole experience, warm and cozy from start to finish. She explained the different portions of the buffet, including the vegetarian and meat sections as well as the salad section. We all ended up ordering mango lassi and working our way through the buffet. Some of the standout items include the vegetarian yellow daal, butter chicken, and cashew raisin halwa dessert. As promised I came back a month later for the buffet, this time with my wife, who is a picky Caucasian, and she was impressed. We liked the fact that there is 5 veggie dishes, and 5 non veg dishes, good spice level, friendly staff. Owner was present, im a desert lover, had piece of gulabjam, and they had carrot cake from Taylor bakery, that my wife and split. This place is tied for the best Indian buffet in Indy Metro, and this definitely the best buffet i have had within the confines of 465. so If you live in the region of Hannah's, you cant go wrong. We had a wonderful first visit to Hannah's the other day. We walked into a space that was so inviting. It appeared that much thought had gone into the decor and design. Our waiter, Karan, was great! So welcoming and friendly. He even took the time to engage with us from time to time. I notice and appreciate genuine hospitality. We went for the lunch buffet. We came for the lunch buffet. They're doing, what I would describe as, a plated buffet. There's a buffet menu at the table. Order what you like, as often as you like, and they're making it FRESH for you! They brought us bread pakora, which was unlike anything we've ever had (in a good way) with chutneys to dip in. The butter chicken, chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, paneer masala, and aloo gobi were wonderful! Some of the offerings on the buffet were scant (I think a previous guest took all the shrimp from the shrimp curry), and we were never offered more water, but everything was super tasty. This restaurant is relatively new, just opened last December of 2024. My daughter suggested to go to sample their lunch buffet to evaluate each dishes before we go for dinner sometime. As I walked in, noticed the place is so beautiful in every corner. Buffet tables seemed well organized and clean. I tried Indian Chai and Mango smoothie, they both are excellent. Every dish I tried was delicate, well seasoned, and tasted like the chef put so much effort and souls. I had an Indian friend whose mother cooked everything from scratch a long ago, this place food reminded me of my friend's mom. All the staffs are friendly, excellent service, and food is fantastic! My daughter ended up taking her family for dinner and her teenage sons and her husband gave 10 out of 10! read more

This place is outstanding! Who knew? We do now. Lamb Samosas were fantastic. Fresh mint sauce was incredibly tasty. Chicken Biryani wasn't dried out. Moist and flavorful spiced chicken. Nann's were crispy and thin and not tough from being in a steam table. The lamb palak was very spicy (what I ordered) without being un-eatable from the heat level. Could be the most tender lamb cubes I've had at an Indian restaurant. Very tasty. We can't wait to go back and try the lunch buffet. So glad we tried Hannah's. Service was extremely attentive and friendly, the ambiance was clean and organized. It really had the feel of an upscale restaurant with the glass windows in to see the kitchen. I was just stopping in out of curiosity so only got an order of samosas to snack on. But WOW these were full of flavor. Crispy and seasoned dough with perfectly spiced filling. My husband and I went for lunch yesterday and were a little bummed out to find out that the buffet is not daily, but the lunch we did have was delicious and reasonably priced. Our waiter was friendly and the ambience is nice, would definitely recommend it for a date night. Have been to Hannah's 4 times now. Three of my visits have been for buffet and last was for carry out from menu. Though I have thoroughly enjoyed the buffet each time, the menu items I received were amazing! The lamb samosas were best i have ever tasted. Any meat pie fan should certainly give them an order. The papdi chaat was also top notch. Alongside Hari foods on north side, this is best papdi chaat I have had in the city. Well balanced with the yogurt and chutney. Lastly, the tandoori chicken is spot on. They do not add red dye to the chicken like rest of indian restaurants in city first and foremost. Secondly, meat well seasoned and succulent. Curries have all been delightful as well. Recommend lunch buffet for sampling of items. Generally 5-6 veg and 5-6 non veg items with small salad bar and made to order Naan. The thai chilis on the buffet are clutch for those who enjoy a kick. The restaurant is clean and well decorated with space for individual diners as well as large parties alike. I have been going to restaurants for over fifty years and have never encountered one with more incompetent and more arrogant service. We were a party of five with two children (aged seven and ten) trying to get dinner. The restaurant was almost empty but it still took more than ten minutes to get menus and order drinks. Few of the staff spoke English and those that did obviously had more important tasks at hand than catering to customers. We were told that they did not have the drinks we ordered, then served the drinks we ordered after almost a half-hour! We then managed to order food by insisting that we needed it--after all, it was supposed to be a restaurant. After another half-hour the adults' food began to arrive sporadically, main dishes interspersed with appetizers. We kept on asking for the children's food from the kids' menu (nothing fancy, just a cheese sandwich and mac-'n-cheese). We were repeatedly told that it was on the way. After an hour, when the final instalment of the adults' food arrived, we were told that the children's food was not available. The staff were not even slightly apologetic about it. They said that they had just found out, after an hour from when we had ordered. We then left, paying $ 80 which covered what we had consumed, but the staff insisted that we even pay for the food we had never received!!! One of them followed us into the parking lot thereatening to call the police which we cordially invited them to do. This sounds hard to believe but that is exactly what happened--the callousness of the staff is unmatched in my experience. The food that was served was mediocre, not good (more bland than soymilk) but not truly bad. Cooking classes can improve the taste this place can offer; the attitude is entirely another matter. It is truly unfortunate that we cannot give a numerical assessment that is negative. There are plenty of decent Indian restaurants in the Indianapolis area--any sensible person would avoid this one. No parent should dream of patronizing this business. read more

I really like this Indian restaurant. Food and service are great. And easy to park. I had their lunch Buffett a month or so ago, but now the Buffett is not available Mon-Thurs. I know they have it Friday. Not sure about the weekend situation. They do a have a daily Veg and non-veg lunch special. I think their website says they are closed on Tuesdays, but the hours here on Yelp are correct. read more

We went to the buffet. Very different - you don't go and take food from a buffet setup, you order from a buffet menu, and they make it fresh and bring it to you. The food was very good - although I admit Indian food is not my favorite. Would recommend you go if you either like or want to try Indian food. Their staff is wonderful. read more

The food was delicious but the ambience left something to be desired. We were there on an evening when the ambient temperature outside was about 20F and it felt as if the heat hadn't been turned on. First impression, place is clean. Nice atmosphere. That being said, things aren't so swell after that No water was brought to the table for our meal. We had to finally ask for it and it arrived along with our order of naan, AFTER OUR MEAL. Tea was empty and never was refilled because "of length of time it takes to make it". Not a good experience. Over 25 years of enjoying Indian culture food and this is extremely disappointing. First time here, most likely, last time. Nice waiter. Nevertheless, not a good experience. Food was decent. Dishes were delivered to the wrong people. We loved the pappadam and the garlic naan and the dipping sauces. My lamb in the lamb saag was overcooked. Our server had to get someone to translate the word sampler. The other person didn't know what was on the sampler platter because she's vegetarian...
