It's 10pm, you're hungry and nowhere else is open for some pho... so I found this place and without even looking at photos I went over, and what an insane surprise, rave + pho??? Who would have thought, such a cool combo! It was filled with strobes and some fog, made a really cool night vibe inside the restaurant, especially since I didn't know what to expect. It wasn't long before I got seated, and the menu is very straight forward. I got ribeye pho and bahn mi, the sandwich was big, definitely not a small size you could split it if you really wanted. But it was flavorful! The broth of the pho was heavenly, and it came with so many noodles, they don't skip out on everything here. Good vibes, good food, and a late night party theme

What a relaxing experience. We walked into this restaurant on the way to Palm Springs and stopped by for some Vietnamese food. Upon walking in, we were welcomed with soothing music, the kind of music I put on when I'm looking for cozy The entire place is very well lit up with Christmas spirit which included lights, Christmas reefs, Santa Claus dolls and beautiful flowers. My bang mi sandwich was great and so was my wife's meal called shaken beef. Our server was quick to serve us and we were back on our way. It was such an unexpected delicious Vietnamese meal experience. Highly recommend.

Located in a small shopping center is this amazing establishment. Probably on of the top bahn mi I've had in a while. The service was fast and the atmosphere is inviting. I would definitely come here again to try the other items on the menu. We tried the BBH and Bahn Mi. Both very delicious

This place is in the strangest location off the freeway but I love the atmosphere! Nothing but rave reviews as Hanoi Kitchen continues to serve up great and flavorful Viet cuisine. Tonight I took my daughter and she has a shrimp pasta and salted caramel iced coffee drink. I ordered phó dac biet and a banh xeo along with a Hanoi variation of a spring roll. I wasn't crazy about the roll, but everything else was delicious. At 9 PM, the waiter put small table lamps on each table and a light show with techno-pop music kicked in. This was a new experience for us but apparently the word is out because a younger crowd began to come in. Hanoi Kitchen is open til 12, so this could be a thing. I did not find the atmosphere annoying nor intrusive; I was mildly intrigued. We will be back

Pretty good. Very good prices on both the lamb chops and the banh mi. I enjoyed the char on the lamb chops and the seasoning was pretty good / mas o menos. I really enjoyed their banh mi. I would definitely recommend this place.

This place is awesome! The inside is decorated really well, it's both cozy and eccentric. The owner has great taste in murals and mega statues. The food was so yummy! their service was attentive, they clearly had many regulars, and I am so excited to soon go back!

I was working in the area and saw Hanoi Kitchen and wanted a Banh Mi so I stopped in. I don't think there's another place in Claremont, south of the 10 fwy, that sells Banh Mi so that's one reason you should go. Their Banh Mi comes in more of a bolillo than a baguette and it tasted fresh. I got the grilled beef Banh Mi and the meat had great flavor, but was a little tougher than I'm used to. I usually get Banh Mi's from Che Cali and I find that their meat is easy to bite through and flavorful. Hanoi's is flavorful, just a little bit a of a pull to break the meat apart, but it's not that bad. I also tried their shrimp and beef spring roll and thought it was fine. Parking was easy to find out front. Inside I was a little confused with the decor, but overall it's fun. There's a Lego Mario at the counter, no clue why, but it's a fun statement piece. Definitely a popular spot for work lunches in the area.

My Mom, one of my younger brothers, and a dear family friend were having a comfort meal at Hanoi Kitchen after a friend's funeral. I came here to pick up my Mom. It's quite spacious and long inside. The first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful wall art decor of Vietnam! It's so colorful and I can sense it is telling its history and stories. It's pretty neat! As I was waiting for my Mom, I flipped through the menu. I was curious what they have. Staff was super friendly. The nice gentleman answered my questions. Thank you young man! I found out this place serves North Vietnam foods and flavors which was intriguing. I ended up ordering 1 Banh Cuon and 1 Pho Chicken. The banh cuon took about 20 mins because it's made to order which was fine with me. It had lots of pork and wood ear filling in a thin layer of steamed rice roll. There were several rolls served with meatloaf and herbs plus bean sprouts along with fish sauce. It was divinely delicious. So was the Pho Chicken. Yum, yum! I saw the chicken oil in the soup. White chicken meat was tender. Herbs were very fresh. It's the real deal. I wish the portions was a bit bigger though. Anyhoo, I would get both items again! Funny, I didn't know this Vietnamese restaurant was here in Claremont until that day. I'll be back here to dine in and try more North Vietnam dishes. Happy Dining!

What a find! Glad to have my first visit during the holidays- amazing decorations! Just a fan of bahn mi sandwiches and pho. Passing through Claremont and a quick search brought me here. Entrance is grand with the nativity scene and decorations throughout. Seated right away on a Tuesday night. Ordered the chicken pho which had a few pieces of chicken and 2 types of noodles. The ratio of chicken to noodles - more chicken needed. Phos was good regardless of that. Bahn mi grilled pork was great! Enjoyed it to the last bite. The food took a little bit to come out and the water refill needs improvement. I like this place. I'll visit when I'm in the area. The restaurant is spotless with table condiments neat and organized. Staff is friendly. Only saw 1 guy working the dining room And a couple of guys in the kitchen. Parking lot in a strip mall. Might get busy since this place is shared with other places to eat.

This review is based off lunch time. A co worker and I called in advance to see how long it takes to get our order or if we needed to ordered on the phone ahead of time. The guy stated that it was fast and we could just go in and order. Well that was a lie... We sat down and already knew what we wanted to help expedite the process.. we orders two smoothies, egg rolls, spring rolls and a chicken pho. By the time we got everything we had to rush and eat. The chicken pho wasn't very flavorful and only had about 3 pieces of chicken. We also did not get the smoothies until the end when we were finishing up our food. We had to ask for a to go cup.. I noticed there were only two workers which you could argue they were short staffed. However if we are calling in advanced and told it's ok to come in, he could of mentioned they only had two workers and that would of helped with the decision to going in or ordering in advance. So would not recommend at lunch time, nor customer service, nor for the chicken pho. read more

Picked up few dishes for first time. I normally love the lemongrass chicken at Vietnamese restaurant but here first of all it was considerably small (see pic). The taste didn't do any justice either. Chicken was very hard and very salty. Tried vermicelli with tofu, it was also pretty bland. read more

My friend and I went here for the first time today and by the end of it, we were very satisfied with the service and food (: The owners are extremely friendly, funny and attentive. I'm shocked to see banh xeo as an appetizer because I've never seen it on any viet menu. I'm very ecstatic to try it next time, its one of my favorite childhood dishes! I'm definitely going back soon with my parents! The owners made our experience there phenomenal We ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, seafood stir fry and shrimp springs rolls. All items were delightful and you get to choose 4 different noodle types for the stir-fry too! Stopped by for lunch for the first time and I thought I ordered too much food, but boy was it yummy! Split a flank and beefball pho, grilled pork bahn mi, and a bahn xeo. The noodles in the pho were a bit wider and softer than what I prefer and it could have used more meat, but the soup was delicious. The bread for the bahn me was super crunchy, and while I would have liked a bit more mayo on the bread, the bread more than made up for that. I've only had bahn xeo a few times from other places, but this was absolutely the best I've ever had. It was so crispy and light and with the fish sauce, it was the perfect balance of sweet and salty. I'll definitely return for the bahn xeo! read more

This I used to be Pho Hanoi in La Verne and I'm glad and surprised to see them move to Claremont. There is no words to describe the flavor of their food menu. 1) Pho noodle soup- So delicious that I end up eating the whole thing no soup or noodles left in the bowl. I've been here several times and the flavor is consistent. 2) Egg rolls and Spring rolls - it's so tasty that we end up ordering more to go. 3) Ban Mi pork - my wife devoured it like there is no tomorrow. The bread is toasty and they did not skimp with the meat and vegetables. Please do not miss the opportunity to taste the best tasting Vietnamese food. I'm hoping that this restaurant will thrive in the years to come. read more

I hate to be this person but my family got food poisoning from this place I don't remember what health inspection letter they had or maybe it was just the restaurant trying to save money and extend a foods lifetime because tuff times it really upset me the way they reacted to my sister trying to reach out and communicate was unbelievable no accountability no sympathy since my brother and sister who got extremely sick on Christmas Eve since we dinned there the night prior when they get very few days off they ended up giving her a 30% after accusing her as lying read more

We were craving some good Pho and the spot local to us just doesn't satisfy. So I hopped on yelp and found this GEM. I was skeptical since there were very few reviews. Once I got there and saw the vibe and the food menu I knew I was at the right spot. Noodles are flat but delicious. Broth was very tasty and fresh. The nicest thing about this god-awful neighborhood, this glorious little slice of Vietnamese cuisine is a pleasant reprieve for those people looking to find a nice taste treat amongst the eateries off the stretch of freeway. Pleasantly staffed, with ample space, nice lighting and deliciousness, it cannot be highly enough recommended. It's unfortunate that the dregs of human society being the whole nearby space down. They deserve to be in a better neighborhood; but they're a credit to the community they serve. read more

I want to preface this with the fact that we've been going to Pho Ha down the street for over 10 years now. We had heard that this place had opened and read the good reviews and decided to make a U-turn on our way down to dinner tonight. We ordered three balls of Pho and were amazed! And more importantly the people in there were super kind and friendly and genuinely excited to have us there. For us that goes along way which is why we decided to make the U-turn in the first place due to our last few occurrences at the other restaurant. We will definitely come back very soon! read more

The food is more Hanoi style rather than most conventional pho which is to my liking as it's less greasy and taste fresher. I tried the pho, Cornish hen and the egg rolls. Highly recommend all of them. Marginally pricier than other pho places in the area like pho ha but the food is significantly better - my go to for Vietnamese in the area. The coffee is amazing but wish there were some non-dairy options for the coffee! read more

My Sister and I searched for a place to meet for dinner and we didn't want to pick the same places where we've dined in the past. She suggested Pho and we then met at Hanoi Kitchen. Neither had been before; now it is my favorite place for Pho. The food was delicious and full of flavor. Our Server was very friendly. The atmosphere was upbeat and fun. What more could you ask for? Came here for breakfast and I'm super glad I did. As with most pho- food was ready almost immediately, and it was all SO good. Brisket Pho, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, Seafood Stir Fry, Viet Coffee BLACK, and FRESH SQUEEZED Orange Juice- each of these things were higher quality than any I've received from any of the other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. Highly recommend all of the above. But- the absolute best thing about this place- the service. Unbelievably friendly, prompt, and very aware. Sunny is the best, made me feel at home in a restaurant if you can imagine that. You just have to eat here to see what I mean for yourself. I'll definitely be back soon! read more

I decided to check this place out rather than grab Chipotle as planned. I was pleasantly surprised. The service is great! Very attentive, friendly, and fun! The atmosphere is very nice and super clean. And the food is on point!!! So fresh and delicious! My server even gave me a recommendation on adding the complimentary condiments to my sandwich! Such a breath of fresh air as opposed to the rude service of Pho Ha down the street. I'll definitely be bringing my business back here read more

noodles were thick and over cooked, broth just tasted like grease, meat was good but there was barely any. Very small portions as well. For $14.95, I was left hungry and disappointed. Personal preference, but water didn't come with ice which was a bit weird. Server was nice which is why I give the place two stars. read more

Does not live up to the great review on Yelp. Vegetarian options are not many, but there are some. Our server refused to modify any dishes saying it was their policy not to deviate from recipes and ingredients listed in their menu. When we informed our server that one person in our party didn't get their food while the rest of us were nearly finished, he asked us to wait (no apology), went to the kitchen, grabbed his jacket and left for the night. read more

Even better with their chili oil, which they also make in house. It's not on the table so make sure to ask for that, it has a complex lemongrass flavor and is divine! I don't like write bad reviews. That's why this is a five star. Ive ate here a couple times to give this place a couple chances. I only write reviews that can be fit the restaurant and do not want to hurt their rating. They don't let you order your meat raw. I'm assuming it's because they do a "Tai Lan" version for their "Tai". The meat is probably marinated and precooked. Because when I bought it togo, I taste the meat, and it tasted exactly like that. Nothing wrong with it. It tasted good. But I would like my meat raw and if they can do that. It would be awesome. The broth isn't very flavorful. It's very light and very sweet. It's not bad but it's not the best. It's lacking beef flavor. Maybe skimping on the bones and adding a lot of water. After multiple times, I'm not sure if it's the owner, but when I want to special order something or ask for a change, it feels like he's trying to talk me out of it. They always forget bringing out water or ice tea when we order. But overall the service is good. Inside is clean and well kept. Would I eat this again? Yes I would. But is it something I would eat on a regular basis? Probably not unless they change their recipe a little. And I totally get it. Every chef or restaurant has their own recipe.
