I have been taking my son to this location for orthodontic help and have been very happy with the doctors and assistants until a couple of weeks ago. Due to Covid protocols I have waited in the waiting room in the last two yrs but this particular time my son let me know when we we're heading back home that the assistant that called him to the back was very rude. Basically she was bully about the fact that he had not been wearing his Invisalign but in a very condescending manner..I wanted to turn around and tell them what happened but he insisted it would be ok and didn't want this person to find out. These are kids that go to this Orthodontist to get a service. It's enough that they get bullied in school do they have to deal with this at-a doctor's office?Very disappointed and disgusted. This is an unfinished review. I will write my final review when my treatment is finally over. I've been with Hansen Orthodontics since January 2013 to fix my acute diastemata, abnormal bite and one stubborn tooth. I am now on my 4th year of treatment, have gone through 3 sets of trays and one partial metal brace. I was aware from the get go about how extraordinary my orthodontic issues were but also was determined in having invisalign. I felt I was way too old to have metal braces. I saw 3 different orthodontists prior to coming to Hansen. Due to the nature of my problems, all 3 previous orthodontics chose and recommended the conventional metal braces so I continued on my search for one who would fix my teeth gaps and bite through Invisalign, and found Dr. Hansen. I've been wearing my braces religiously since 1/13 and have seen tremendous changes in my teeth (movement, gaps, bite) except for that one stubborn tooth that refuses to move and get corrected the same time as the rest of the teeth. Nonetheless, am happy with the results...so far. Dr. Hansen and his staff have been and are very friendly, courteous and accommodating. I've had no problems getting my appointments changed and/or rescheduled (even on the same day). Although I have to admit that sometimes the wait is a bit annoying since I can only see them during my 1hr lunch break and on most occasions had to wait for at least 15+minutes. I don't think patients are normally seen at exactly scheduled/specified time. We all wait, patiently. It's a good thing they have free Wi-Fi which lessens the aggravation. I am now on my (hopefully) last 6 trays, but who's to say it'd be my last set? Only the Dr. knows. read more

We are happy with Dr. Hansen he's taking a good care of my little one with her braces and her expander. No time waiting, waiting room has a lot of iPads and a tv with Netflix for the kids. Great costumer service. The front desk people is kind and they have a great costumer service too. read more

I took my oldest here for a consultation. The staff were all friendly and the doc was nice too. I like that they have plenty of ipads and toys in the waiting room for the kids. Was put off by the girls at the front desk. The girl that checks people in, along with one of the assistants were berating the people coming in for treatment. Sad really. It was like watching Mean Girls. In one instance, they didn't even wait until the man with his daughter was out the door before they insulted him and laughed loudly at his expense. And in another instance, made fun of a boy they startled while their mother (who didn't speak the language) was sitting in the waiting room. Glad the staff is having fun, but sorry they have to do it at others expense. Very unprofessional and distasteful. read more

Very nice, very young looking Orthodontist. Awesome support staff, very welcoming . Weird experience though. Apparently they don't like providing braces because they continue to push and hard sell Invisalign even if your first words were "i'm not interested in invisalign". I would say 5 stars for the office, staff, Orthodontist yet the push for invisalign and the insane price quote $5,900 from a living social deal with the 1200 discount on the voucher,,, for someone who has already had braces! Currently there is a Groupon for $2400 complete treatment for Invisalign at Bella Smiles right down the same street. If you want invisalign,,,which I don't! also the average price for Invisalign across the country is $3,400 and wiki answers say less if you have had orthodontic care. I guess Dr Hensen uses gold instead of plastic? read more

First impression: Very well designed orthodontist building & friendly staff. They accommodate kids with video games, kid toys, and play disney movies on the television. The place is decorated with the Christmas theme (which makes me feel joyful) and when you step into the offices and other rooms, they display sport memorabilia in each room (which makes me feel fascinated) The staff is very welcoming & they do as much to get what you want done on the lowest possible cost. They also provide small useful things when needed. Like Chapstick, for when your lips dry up as they work around your mouth. And when your done, you can brush your teeth with already added toothpaste brushes (very interesting) The staff is very welcoming & as they work with you, good conversation is appreciated and makes me feel like my visit isn't uncomfortable. All of the staff are extremely friendly. My down payment and monthly payments were reasonable too, actually less than my previous orthodontist quoted. Doctor Hansen completely set my mind at ease and went over all of my treatment plan thoroughly unlike Dr.Wheeton at Centennial Orthodontics. I'm so happy with my braces. I've been going to Dr. Hansen since February of 2016. I was referred to him by my dentist, Dr. Phen. When I had my consultation in 2016, I was more than welcomed! I have my appointments at their Buffalo location, but I have went to their Rainbow location which was kind of hard to find at first. The staff in the front & back are super friendly. In the waiting room, there's a TV & some iPads for the kids. Lately, the wait has been 15+ minutes after my appointment time. I know their appointments are back to back so if one person is late, the rest of their appointments are pushed back. Be courteous & show up on on time or early to your appointment! When you're in the back getting your braces tightened, they have a TV to watch. Four seats total that are occupied with clients. They have seats on the sides where parents can sit while their child is getting their braces tightened. They're VERY clean! Either Dr. Hansen or Dr. Miller will check out the progress & tell the assistant what to do. They tell you what they'll be doing next to keep your progress on track. If you have any questions or concerns they'll be addressed right then & there. When your appointment is over you set up your next appointment in the front. They also have extra perks such as a loyalty program, movie nights, etc!!! Overall this place is highly recommended! Don't hesitate & set up a consultation! read more

From the moment we walked into their office the staff was kind and eased her fears. We are five months into her treatment and we are loving the results. Horrible experience! If you dare visit this office be aware that they are very good at one thing, rudeness. Cydni, their insurance coordinator lacks any customer service skills, in fact, she screamed at my wife and I concerning an insurance claim. We checked what she had indicated was being done with insurance carrier and found out that she had given us erroneous information. She both belittled us and threatened us that she would not advocate on my daughter's behalf with the insurance claim unless we bowed to her. I know of no business that can be successful while treating your customers this way. Strongly, do not recommend. read more

I was going to wait until my braces were removed (I only have a couple of months to go!) before making this review, but I'm just so pleased with the service that I couldn't wait any longer. The minute you enter the office you are greeted by Dr. Hansen's fantastic front-desk crew. I know we shouldn't pick favorites, but Daisy is mine; she is always so friendly and kind. Dr. Hansen himself is wonderful, and he has the BEST group of assistants. They all work together really well. They are so nice and make you feel comfortable... Like a part of the group. Let me tell you, as an adult wearing braces, I've needed that. Seeing these lovely people every 6 weeks has made looking like a 12 year old for two years a little more bearable. I would 100% recommend Dr. Hansen to anyone looking for an orthodontist. He and his assistants are GOOD at what they do and they're friendly doing it. Plus, you can tell Dr. Hansen appreciates his patients. A few years ago, my younger brother and sister went to other orthodontists, and let me tell you, I have never seen any other orthodontist go to the lengths that Hansen goes through to show his appreciation to his patients. I went in for an Invisalign consultation, everyone was wonderful and friendly, location was handy for me and it was set out spaciously. This was my 1st Invisalign consult I'd had so I didn't know much about cost yet. They quoted me almost $7000 total for the full treatment - I was told I would have to put $1800 down first for the company to make the first set of trays, wow! I sensibly took the decision to shop around a bit before comitting (even though I was offered a $500 discount if I signed the paper right there on the day) I have since visited 3 other orthodontists and None have been so expensive as here also none have required such a high down payment for the initial trays to be made. I have found a place who are doing the whole treatment for less than 2/3 of the price I was quoted here. I am writing this so that others in my position are aware and to perhaps question the cost & shop around. expensive expensive expensive! read more

I am currently treating with another provider for Invisalign and went to Dr. Hansen for a second opinion consult to make sure things were on track. I really appreciated Dr. Hansen's knowledge and approach. He was very detailed in his explanations and answered all my questions with ease. She was very knowledgeable during my consultation when it came to explaining the braces and made everything easy to understand. I was also impressed with her knowledge of both my insurances. It's funny how people compare prices to things on Groupon because if you actually go to Bella smiles, they only accept slight and minor cases. Basic cosmetics, not orthodontists. So do your research before complaining about a business and comparing it to something that makes no sense. Back to the review.... I went in, had my consultation and started treatment after having a couple teeth removed on base to make room for changes. I have had nothing but good experiences and the price for my Invisalign was reasonable and similar to two other places I went, only Dr. Hansen's office was the nicest, cleanest, and most professional. Dr. Hansen and all the staff at Hansen Ortho are the very best! I had Invisalign done by him as an adult and had him do braces on my son. Both experiences were amazing! Dr Hansen has the BEST bed wide manner. He's funny and smiley and kind and takes as much time with you as you need to explain things.
