I came here twice for dinner and each time there was about a 20 minute wait. I first got the pad see ew with chicken and it was pretty sweet. I didn't love that dish because of its sweetness, which I had never experienced before with pad see ew, so I got the panang curry with shrimp the next time I visited. I really enjoyed this dish and it was plated beautifully. Their meals can be good for 2 meals too if you're not terribly hungry. read more

I wasn't feeling adventurous today, so I got the pad see ew with chicken ($15). The food came out fast. The waitstaff was friendly and frequently filled our waters. Stopped in for dinner with a coworker and we both had great dinners. I ordered the chicken drunken noodles and he got the sweet chili salmon special. Even looking at the food other tables around us ordered, you could tell everything is amazing. The service was very fast and friendly. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating even though it is a slightly smaller restaurant. We got there pretty early, around 430pm, so it wasn't too busy. Would definitely highly recommend this place to anyone and will be back next time I'm in the area. read more

Giving this a three star feels unfair.. but giving this a four star also feels unfair. Someone said this is the "best" Thai food in OC. That's like if I said CPK has the best pizza in California. I'm not saying this is generic, but not far from it. - Fried chicken was tasty and crispy (best dish) - Larb was good but not memorable - Khao Soi was decent. It's hard to compare it to anywhere else in OC as it's not a dish you can find at most Thai restaurants - Crying tiger was made like a fine dining dish. Not what I was expecting. Not many Thai Places offer Khao Soi in Orange County. So when I heard Hanuman offered it I had to pay a visit. After many months being on my bookmarks due to covid, I was finally able to try this place. Went on a Tuesday around 6pm the wait time was about 20 mins. Inside and outside seating was avaliable. Parking- Plenty of parking Hours- 3:00-10:00 PM open 7 days a week Not sure why they open so late Now onto the food: Papaya Salad (1/5)- Was a big disappointment. Not sure why there was iceberg lettuce in there and green beans? The dressing was sweet and not spicy enough. Mild at best. Skip this one. The Sun-In-Laws Eggs (2/5)- Basically a lightly deep fried boiled egg cut in half drizzled with tamarind sauce. Can skip this item also. Khao Soi (3/5)- If you have had vietnamese ca ri ga (Chicken Curry) this basically what it taste like. A lot going on in the bowl to taste pretty much simple. Comes with chicken drumstick, egg noodle/crispy noodle. The chicken was fall off the bone good. Egg noodle was perfect and the crispy noodles that came with it gave it a great crunch. I can see why this is a popular item if you have not had vietnamese curry. Worth a try if you not had it. Thai Tea Creme Brulee Flan (3/5)- The dessert was just okay. Wasn't overly sweet and was drier than your usual Flan. Something you can order if you feeling lazy to get boba or something lol. Gai Todd Hat Yai "Fried Chicken" (4/5)- The fried chicken was great. Good crunch and the wings were not frozen (Bones not dark). Wish the sticky rice portion was a lot bigger. Sauce was too sweet for me. Only had a dab or two with each wing. Definitely Worth a try if you love chicken wings. Pad Thai Boran (5/5)- The star of the show. One of the best pad thai I've had and I don't usually order pad thai because many places make it too sweet or the noodles are clumped together. If you opt out from adding protein it already comes with Pressed Tofu. This was actually the first time having this type of tofu. It was delicious. Makes it feels like you have meat in your pad thai. Overall I would probably give this place a 3.5 outta 5 but service was great! Our water cups was filled everytime it's about to reach the bottom. So an extra .5 stars to our server. The panang curry with steak was my favorite dish. Perfectly cooked steak (I specified medium rare). The chicken wings were light and crispy! Although the Thai tea creme brûlée didn't have even a hint of Thai tea flavor, it was still good if you like regular creme brûlée. I also got a banana dessert that wasn't on the menu. It was amazing. It wasn't overly sweet and had a hint of sea salt which balanced out the flavors perfectly. If you're looking for traditional Thai food, this place isn't for you, but if you are down for fusion, give it a shot! It gets pretty crowded so go early for dinner. There is typically going to be an hour wait, but it is located in a plaza with plenty of parking and other shops nearby. Luckily, the wait wasn't too bad and ended up being around 30 minutes or so. We were seated inside and the space is definitely on the smaller side. The tables are relatively close to each other, so it's easy to overhear other people's conversations. We ordered the Khao Soi, Drunken Noodles, Crying Tiger, and Thai Tea Crème Brûlée. The Drunken Noodles and Crying Tiger were delicious, but definitely not worth the price when you could get the same but better at other Thai places. However, my favorite was definitely the Khao Soi, it was super flavorful and delicious. It was my first time having noodles like that, and the presentation was beautiful! The Thai Tea Crème Brûlée was also very delicious and torched perfectly to create a crispy layer while also maintaining a soft custard. The place is definitely great for food photos, but I recommend going for the dishes that you don't typically see at other restaurants, such as the Khao Soi and Thai Tea Crème Brûlée. You pay more for the presentation than the good food. Even though the restaurant is named after a Hindu god, they do not have any vegan or vegetarian options. The first thing I wanted to say with this place is that I love their customer service here. Maybe it was because we came in shortly after they opened, but all of the staff was very helpful and accommodating and the food came out so quickly! We ordered thai iced tea, the drunken noodles and the khao soi! Thai tea (10/10) - The thai tea flavor was really strong and I loved the taste of it so you can't really go wrong with ordering this! Drunken Noodles (9/10) - I really loved how delicious this was! We got the medium spicy with chicken and the spice level was perfect for us. It was still spicy but not too spicy where we couldn't enjoy our food. Khao Soi (8.5/10) - I really liked this dish. The curry was so rich and creamy (even a little bit of sweetness to it at the end) and the egg noodles they had in the curry was cooked perfectly to make it chewy. The chicken in the broth was very tender and moist and I loved the cracker straws in the bowl because it added some fun texture. The only thing was just that this dish on its own is very heavy imo, so I couldn't finish it cause there was a lot (which is also a good thing!) This place gets BUSY. We normally go at the end of the work day, and rush over as quick as we can. Normally wait around 15 mins and servers are ready to take your order. Waters are always filled and the conversations are flowing. Their food is delicious! Dishes are shareable to do a family style so you can try a but of everything. The pad kee mao is nursing with flavor. The hangar steak with the massaman curry is cooked just right and not dry. The street noodle has a delicious broth with the right anoint of kick. I can go on! Out of all the things we've tried, I'd order everything again besides the Thai omelette didn't feel like a meal, but could pass as an appertained and the pad thai. It was too "fish sauce-y" for me. I tend to like it on the sweeter side, but of course this is all preference. The thai tea is our favorite and we always get it in a to-go cup so we can sip it on our drive home. The Thai Tea was nothing special. Pretty standard, however, it was really watered down. I have had better thai tea elsewhere with a cheaper price. The Pad See Ew was great-I loved how chewy the rice noodles were, which was something I haven't had in other Thai restaurants in SoCal. The Chinese broccoli was cooked perfectly with the right amount of crunch. Really enjoyed the shrimp as well, it wasn't overcooked and was very fresh. The overall dish was a bit too sweet for my liking, but it was still pretty good! My favorite dish of the night had to be the Gai Todd Hat Yai, the chicken wings and the sticky rice came out steaming hot! Wow. WOW! Best Thai food I have had, period. It is SO worth the wait, and there's a wait for good reason! We heard the reviews and went on a recommendation from a friend who was with us...best decision we made that night haha! We ordered so many fantastic dishes from the curry Roti dish to Pad See Ew of course which looked just beautiful and tasted like just fantastic soul food you couldn't get enough of, and of course had to order the "Gai Todd Hat Yai" which is Chef Jenny's own Hometown Famous Street Food of Friend Chicken and Sticky Rice with House Recipe Dipping Sauce and Fried Shallots...YUM! Jenny HERSELF came to introduce the dish to us and tell us the best way to eat, and was all smiles and laughter - you can just tell how much she loves what she does and is beyond proud of this restaurant which is her baby. The food is one word: YUM! The vibe is awesome full of classic media wallpaper from Thailand and beautiful artwork, the place is immaculate, it's an absolute perfect place to go with a few friends to enjoy some fantastic legit Thai food or even an evening date night. One of the best Thai places I've had ever! Came on a Tuesday night and we waited about 20 minutes before we were seated outside. The restaurant is a bit small so outdoor seating was expected. We got the lamb chops appetizer and the sauce was amazing! It's a bit of a sweet and sour sauce that works so well with the fatty lamb chops. It also has a small side salad and this is definitely my favorite dish from this place 5/5. The khao soi noodles were pretty good the flavor was really rich and the chicken was so tender. It's a bit difficult to eat because the noodles are hard to pull apart in the beginning but that isn't a big deal. It's a good dish to share because after a few bites it starts to get a bit heavy but still a must try 4/5! The Thai fried rice with pork was solid it was a typical fried rice nothing special but still good to try 3.5/5. Mixed this a bit with the broth from the noodles and it made both dishes so much better! The wine was also very worth it! We got two glasses and for $8-$9 a glass they give you a pretty heavy pour so if you're in the mood for a drink definitely treat yourself here. Also didn't get the papaya salad this time but trust me when I say this place has the best papaya salad I've ever had! Highly recommend if you're a papaya salad fan. What we ordered: - thai sausage: 5/5 can't go wrong. the sauce, the veggies with the sausage is just my fave. - khao soi: 4.5/5 this was so decadent, rich and flavorful. the chicken was incredibly tender and it was actually very generous with size. i only gave this a 4.5/5 bc it IS so decadent i highly recommend sharing. - gai todd hat yai: 5/5 such good wings!! i love myself a good wing and this was so good with the sticky rice! - massaman curry with steak: 5/5 sooo goood, the crispy bread was amazing with the curry - tom kha beer: 3/5 this was really good flavor and refreshing, but for some reason it was hard for me to drink - mango sticky rice: 4/5 of course had to order this. but i think we were so full by the time we ate this i don't think it was anything too spectacular we shared all these amongst 3 people and we were so full. also make sure you ask for their chilis! We didn't ask for more chilis until the end of our dinner and then we found out they had a bunch of options! the staff here is incredibly nice as well. they told us that tik tok blew them up so they're extra busy. read more

Thanks to Sammy and Mint I had the best 23rd birthday dinner here!!! This was already one of my favorite restaurants as the food is the best thai food that I have had in the states, but they made my experience even better! Great job of going through all their favorite menu items and the tastes, and was very happy to answer all my questions in depth:) I asked for a recommendation between sticky mango rice or the thai tea crewmen brule and then she ended up surprising me and bringing out both but only charging me for one and brought out a candle to sing- very sweet!! best workers and best food 10/10 read more
