Absolute banger. Top 3 Thai restaurants of all time. Number one thing you gotta get is their Hat Yai chicken wings and eat them things with hands. Grab that rice, dip in their sweet sauce, roll it around their crispy shallots, take a bite of that wing and rice. Thank me later. Everything about this place is 10/10 -- atmosphere, interior decor, attentive service, friendly hosts, food, food, dessert. Aside from the Hat Yai, we also got the Rad Naa and Green Curry, both yumms. And of course, when it's in season, do NOT miss out on the mango sticky rice. Our first exposure to this place was out in Costa Mesa where we got to meet the owner, Jenny. Couple years and a couple Hanuman expansions later, we see her again in our most recent visit at their Orange location. Always such a pleasant conversation. Fun fact: Jenny is from Hat Yai, city in Thailand... if you were wondering why I rave so much about their Hat Yai wings. Personal fun fact: my first exposure to Hat Yai chicken was in Portland at a very well known spot called Pok Pok. I mention this because Hanuman's version... tops theirs (sorry).

Delicious! I came here with family early on a Saturday evening (around 4:30pm) and got seated right away. The restaurant is on the smaller side and beautifully decorated. We shared Drunken noodles with chicken, shrimp fried rice, Panang shrimp curry, and mango sticky rice. The menu has just enough offerings without being overwhelming. The food came out quickly, I would say within 10 minutes of ordering. The shrimp fried rice came with large, perfectly cooked shrimp with salty egg. This was all of our first time trying the salty egg and the server warned us not to eat on its own but instead eat it with the rice which balanced all the flavors. I got medium spicy for the drunken noodle which was just spicy enough. The noodles were flat and fat with very tender chicken. The shrimp curry had a mild sweetness to it and also had the large and juicy shrimp. All the dishes were tasty and presented beautifully. Lastly, the mango sticky rice was sweet, soft, and the mangos were perfectly ripe. It was a great ending to the meal. Service was very prompt and friendly. You will not have any lingering empty stomach plates hanging out on the table and we were checked on often. Definitely worth the trip to Orange County!

This is Hanuman's newest location in Orange. Easy parking in the lot. We checked in on Yelp on a Friday around 5:30 pm and the expected wait time was 6:05, but ended up being seated closer to 6:15. The restaurant is on the smaller side with tables, booths, and bar seating. It was pretty loud inside but the decor is nice and has a slightly upscale feel. Service started a bit slow and it took a while for someone to bring water and take our order, though the staff was friendly. For six people we ordered the chicken satay, papaya salad, chicken pad thai, pork pad see ew, Hat Yai fried chicken, chicken yellow curry, and pad kra pao. Portions are normal sized and it was the perfect amount of food. The highlights were the chicken satay, pad see ew, and Hat Yai chicken. The satay sauce was unique, the Hat Yai chicken was perfectly crispy, and the pad see ew was packed with flavor. The papaya salad and pad kra pao were good but didn't stand out as much. They also have a great drink selection. I don't usually like Sing Tao, but Sing Tao on draft was something else. It was so smooth. The mango sticky rice beer and tom yum beer were both unique and worth trying. Overall a solid spot and I'd come back to try more dishes and drinks.

This was our first time at a Hanuman and it did not disappoint! We joined the waitlist on yelp which was super helpful because there was already a long wait when we got there and it just kept getting longer. Staff was very kind and considerate of us having two young kids with us. It's very nice inside and it is pretty small but they get people in as quickly as they can. We had the shrimp fried rice, tom yum koong, pad see ew, and based on recommendation we also got the Gai Todd Hat Yai (chicken wings). Everything was so flavorful and tasty. Everything was plated so well. I also ordered a Thai tea and that also tasted great!

We're so glad they moved closer north! Their Costa Mesa locations are a bit too far for us (we drive from Diamond Bar). We watched a movie in Orange and decided to go eat at Hanuman in the area. They let you join waitlist from a distance so be sure to join early! We joined it as soon as we left the theatre but there 25 parties ahead of us and our estimated wait was about 1+ hours. For 25 parties ahead and how small the restaurant is, I'm so surprised how quickly they went through to fill the tables. We just walked around in the area and before we knew it, our table was ready! This is our second time but we remembered our first time at Hanuman at the CM location being so mind blowingly good. We weren't super hungry and the portions are quite big so we decided to just order the drunken noodles (our fav) and the Khao Soi! Drunken noodles are always a good go to and we've never been disappointed. This time, we felt like the Khao Soi got a bit overwhelming at the end. It is a thicker soup and we also came to realize, we're not the biggest fans of Khao Soi. It was delicious though! The other dish I remember being really good was the fried chicken and sticky rice. We'll have to get that next time! Hanuman is a must-try if you love Thai food!

Visited Hanuman Thai Eatery's new Orange location last night and had such a lovely experience. I've been to their Costa Mesa location before and always enjoyed it, so I was really looking forward to trying this new branch, and it truly did not disappoint. Hut was very polite and respectful, and Jenny was just as warm and welcoming. Their hospitality made us feel comfortable right away, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The food was amazing, the ambience was beautiful, and the service was every bit as great as what I've experienced at their other location. It's honestly so nice to see a restaurant grow while still keeping the same quality, care, and genuine hospitality. I'll definitely be back and would happily recommend Hanuman Thai Eatery to anyone looking for authentic Thai food and a wonderful dining experience.

We came into Hanuman Thai Eatery excited to try one of the bigger names in the conversation of OC Thai spots. Having tried and enjoyed Manaao and Chiang Rai, we thought Hanuman's new Orange location would be the right opportunity. The wait was quite long even on a weekday evening, so be sure to join the waitlist ASAP. We were sat outside, but it started to sprinkle a little bit. Staff were very kind and tried to move us into a more sheltered area. Unfortunately, there were only two of us so we didn't get to try everything we wanted. We ordered the massaman curry with hanger steak and the Gai Todd hat yai. The curry's flavor profile was on point, but was just slightly less flavorful than some other restaurants I've had it at. The roti was good, but the steak, while cooked near to perfection temperature-wise, was fairly chewy. The wings were very good, and the flavors even on the unseasoned wings themselves were great. You can tell their ingredients are high quality All things considered, based off what little we got to try, and the prices as well, I think that Hanuman just falls a little bit short of the aforementioned OC Thai spots. I think that for the price, Manaao specifically is offering flavors just as good or better (at least compared to this Orange location). That being said, I think Hanuman is worth a shot, especially if you're local!

Super exciting to see another location open outside of Costa Mesa, and honestly it's just as good as the OG! The Yelp waitlist was super convenient since we could join before even getting there. We went around 7 pm on a Saturday and the wait wasn't nearly as bad as the other locations. Inside is pretty small and intimate. The decor feels classy but still casual. Service was great since they were attentive and we got our food and drinks in quickly. We shared the pad Thai with shrimp, panang curry with chicken, and Hanuman's fried rice. Everything looked amazing and tasted even better! - Pad Thai with shrimp - It had the perfect kick! The noodles had a great chew, with egg and crunchy veggies mixed in. I liked that it wasn't overly sauced but still tasted well balanced. The shrimp had a nice grilled taste, and overall it felt more traditional than most spots around here, which I enjoyed. - Panang curry with chicken - Rich with Thai spices that's not too spicy. Definitely one of those dishes where you keep going back for more. The chicken was tender and cooked perfectly. Way better than the steak I've had before that is always a bit chewy. - Hanuman's fried rice - My first time trying it and I'm glad I did! Really flavorful, with soft rice that soaked everything in without being overly fried. The sweet Chinese sausage with the Thai spices made it stand out. We were basically scraping the plates by the end. Each dish had its own unique flavor profile, which made the whole meal really enjoyable. This is one of my favorite Thai spots and I'm so glad they opened this location. Can't wait to come back!

We dined at Hanuman in Costa Mesa before and remembered we enjoyed it, but this visit here wasn't so great compared to the last haha. This Orange location opened recently, and we came at 6:10pm to put our name down. The Yelp system said it was a 9-10 min wait. Time passed by and it was longer than 10 mins... even waiting for an hour just to get seated. The restaurant itself is pretty small, but everyone dining here just seems to be dining for sooo long. The waitlist would move very slowly. We finally got seated at the counter, which we already knew what we wanted so we immediately went to order. Luckily the wait to receive our food didn't take as long. We were sitting right in front of the bartender, so we got our Thai teas first. We ordered the Gai Todd Hat Yai (Chicken Wings), Khao Soi, The Son-in-Law's Egg, and the Pad Thai. The chicken wings were my favorite, juicy with a nice crisp. The sticky ride they had with it was pretty nice, but the chicken wings were the star of the show. The Khao Soi, I used to liked this one, but this one just seemed too heavy and rich. It was kind of overwhelming and flavors were on the sweeter side. Son-In-Law's Eggs was pretty boring, and all you can taste is the sweet sauce that was covered in. The egg was not special in anyway. Pad Thai was okay, although it seemed like there wasn't too much of an effort with flavor putting this one together. Overall, the experience was disappointing compared to the one time I had visited in Costa Mesa. We all seemed to think that most of the dishes were all on the sweeter side too. Presentation of the food and the restaurant all looked really nice, but experience was mid.

Hanuman Thai Eatery is off to a strong start. They had only been open about five weeks when we visited, and the place already felt dialed in. There was a short Yelp wait, but we grabbed seats at the bar instead and it ended up being the move. Service was a big standout here. Oscar took our order, walked us through the menu, and gave great recommendations, but the whole team was on it. Super friendly, polished, and great teamwork all around. The space is very clean, parking is easy, and even the bathroom passed the test. The hallway to the restroom was such a fun touch too! I felt like I was transported to Thailand. We shared two mocktails, the Coco Mango and Lost in Samui, and both were excellent. The Hanuman Ceviche is a must. We also shared the chicken drunken noodles with added shrimp, then ended with the Khao Sawan, a chef-original dessert made just for this location. Only small knock was the candle at the bar. It was a little too strong at times. Still, the food, service, and vibe easily carried the night. For a restaurant this new, Hanuman feels impressively polished already. Definitely one I'd come back to. Hours of operation 3pm-10pm daily

We had an awesome experience here at Hanuman Thai Eatery. We came by for my wife's birthday lunch with one of friends. He said he had gone to the other location and loved it. The location shares parking with an America's Tire. Parking is offered on both sides of the building. The staff here greeted and seated us quickly as we arrived right around opening for service. The restaurant is nice and clean. The decorations/artwork are beautiful and all around the restaurant. It's a compact location with various table sizes and also a bar with some seats. We ended up ordering all of these to share as it's family style: -Pad See Ew with Chicken -Hanuman's Ceviche -Gai Todd Hat Yai (fried chicken + sticky rice) -Khao Soi -Khao Sawan (dessert) -Tom Kha & Mango Sticky Rice Beer I will cosign on everything dish we ordered. Each one was tremendous and as advertised! The presentation of each dish makes its easy to take a great pictures. The Pad See Ew was exceptional and one of better ones I've had. That ceviche is a must try! Great flavors and textures. The fried chicken was crispy and paired well with the sticky rice. The Khao Soi was full of deliciousness. It had all the right flavors and textures of a memorable Khao Soi. For the beers, go with the Mango Sticky Rice one. That one tasted good. Finally, that Khao Sawan was a must try to end the lunch for dessert. A great Thai dessert that is only offered at the Orange location. I hope this review did Hanuman justice. I would highly recommend coming here! The hospitality and elite level dishes were amazing. The staff treated us so well and we felt like family dining here. They were constantly checking in and made great recommendations on which dishes to try. Thank you to Hanuman Thai Eatery in Orange for a wonderful time with high level Thai dishes. We all appreciated it very much! ( ^_^)b

Glad they opened in Orange. Love the food here. The wings & the steak massaman are a must. The drinks are pretty and pretty good.

So I've been to the Costa Mesa and Newport location several times. At first it was pretty good but then it started to fall behind some of the newer Thai spots like manaao and chiang rai. I wouldn't want to come to Hanuman when those were around. It's been a while but we just went to this new Orange location and idk if it's cause we were starving but this time the food was great. Everything was good just wasn't crazy about the crying tiger (a little tough and overcooked) and the Khao soi (tad salty) Very friendly and was able to accommodate a party of 7 at 730p on a Friday! We found a reservation! Sat outside which was nice since weather is warm but it is right next to street

The finger foods was Asian‑inspired, with flavors like black sesame, curry, and other creative twists that made each bite feel unique. Every piece was thoughtfully made, rich, and decadent without feeling repetitive, and the presentation was beautiful across the board. It definitely felt like a more elevated, modern take on afternoon tea. The tea itself, however, fell a bit short for me. I ordered a non‑caffeinated chrysanthemum tea, which unfortunately didn't have much depth or flavor. My friend's Darjeeling was better, but still not as rich or complex as I've had elsewhere. Given how strong the Asian inspiration is in the food, it would've been nice to see more thoughtful decaf tea options in that same direction, like decaf sencha, barley tea, or kuromamecha, to better match the concept. Price: The afternoon tea service is prix fixe at around $45 per person, which includes a curated set of savory bites, desserts, and a pot of tea. For the quality and creativity of the food, the price feels pretty reasonable compared to other OC tea services, though the tea itself didn't quite meet the same level as the food. Ambiance: The space is bright, warm, and inviting, with a nice amount of natural sunlight coming in that makes it feel cozy rather than stuffy. There are subtle Asian design elements woven into the décor, giving it a modern, slightly upscale feel without being overly formal. It's a great spot to catch up with friends and linger over tea. Service: Service was good, friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. Even during a busy service, staff remained kind and approachable, which added to the overall relaxed vibe. Parking: Parking can take a bit of effort. Since it's located on a busy street in Orange, you may need to circle around the roundabout or park a little farther away and walk over. Not impossible, but definitely something to plan for, especially on weekends.

Fries were fair, good portions and flavorful. I liked the noodles but weren't blown away. Everything was very soft, not a lot of textural change. The portion was generous with lots of bulgogi beef. We came with reservations on Saturday night before Mother's Day. The first thing I thought when I walked in was that there was a live band playing with bad speakers because the music was so loud. But when I saw there was no band, I thought maybe their speakers were broken because the music had that scratchiness to it. Then I realized it was a DJ spinning vinyls with foreign music from the 1950's with that scratchy vintage sound on full blast (think shrill trumpets and shrill voices.) Now don't get me wrong, the music was wonderful and very unique ( again, a lot of foreign songs) with a few I even knew...my husband and I loved most of the songs that were played. HOWEVER not when it's so loud that we can't even hear our own thoughts! I felt annoyed within the first 5 minutes of being seated when my family and I had to keep repeating ourselves, and my husband even went to check the rest of the place to see if it was any quieter anywhere else, but it was blaring music everywhere. I ended up ordering for my whole table of 8 people because we couldn't even hear each other over the music to make suggestions on what to order. My adult kids (all in their 20's) kept apologizing for recommending this place for my mother's day dinner. But oh my, the food was delicious---practically everything I ordered was amazing! OMG the hangar steak skewers, pork belly skewers, iberico pork secreto steak, little gem salad, and their bread with goatmilk -butter were my faves! We also had the short ribs and the pork fried rice with prawns but they were mid...nothing to write home about. This would've been a great place to come have a drink at the bar for happy hour or even late at night on a weekend since they open until 1am on thursday, friday, saturday... but don't come for dinner unless you bring earplugs and learn sign language or know how to read lips because there will be no conversations over dinner unless it's just to the person sitting next to you. Even so, I noticed the young couple next to us looking very annoyed-- they got up and left after quickly finishing up their one cocktail while the speakers blared out an instrumental piece of a girl moaning the whole time until she climaxed. Heck---I'll have whatever SHE'S having lol So plz keep the music down several notches until after 10pm, and let the rest of us enjoy our dinner so that we can sing praises on how delicious everything was. Until you do, I think I'll cross this place off my list for now and revisit again sometime in the FAR future.

I have come to Ini a couple of times whenever I stop by the Orange County area, and my graduation dinner was no exception. What makes them so unique is their perfect balance between Asian flavors and Italian classics. Everything I have tasted here has been delicious and has exceeded my expectations. Something I appreciate, besides the aesthetic interior, is their unique selection of dishes ranging from innovative pizzas, creamy and original pastas, and bright, flavorful appetizers. Here are a couple of items that I want to shout out: First, the truffle honey bread. I really appreciated the crispiness of the cheese on top and the bounciness of the fluffy bread paired with the sweetness of the honey. It creates a very balanced bite that keeps you wanting more. The raw salmon appetizer was a huge hit with our table. The citrus paired very well with the salmon itself, and even though this is a common appetizer at many fusion restaurants, they really do it right. The beef carpaccio was a great fusion dish and a wonderful nod to the Asian flavors that inspired them. This is a dish I have ordered multiple times, and it always hits the spot. Out of all the pizzas, I enjoyed the mala lamb the most. It actually was not too spicy, with a nice peppery flavor. Sometimes lamb can be a bit overpowering; however, when topped with the mala honey, everything balanced out perfectly. I also want to note that I have never seen this flavor combination anywhere else, and I think it is definitely something you need to try if you are here. The short rib gnocchi was another favorite of mine. The gnocchi was fluffy and cloud-like and paired really well with the umami-rich, savory flavor of the short rib. The meat itself was very tender and pulled apart easily, making every bite delicious. There are other dishes I could mention, but I do want to shout out the scallop risotto. This one definitely surprised me, as I am not usually a big risotto eater. I appreciated the creaminess of the rice mixed with the scallop, and even though it was a cream-based dish, it did not feel heavy at all. The service was very friendly, and everything came out in a timely manner, which I especially appreciated considering we had a big group. Overall, I will always try to find a reason to come back here, as this place really does take the cake for me when it comes to Kei concept restaurants.

The service was fast and they were constantly checking on my friend and i if we were ready. Food came out in about 10 minutes~, even though we were talking a lot the food was still really hot. We got the scallion oil noodles (I forgot what they're called), gyudon bowl, and 2 servings of dumplings! My friend and I were stuffed and we eat a lottttt. We also had their drinks which weren't bad for $6.50. He had the strawberry matcha and I had the jasmine tea with crystal boba! For take out, the food was packed neatly & the set of condiments and utensils they provide is really good. It felt a little more "higher end" of a take out place. My friends and I ordered about the same things we did inside the restaurant, cucumber salad, and the wonton with chili oil. Our favorite was the chili oil wontons & we regret not ordering more. Fed three people!

They don't have many table to seat large parties (3+) they mostly have bar seating and the booth seating is pretty tightly packed so just a heads up that if you have a larger party you might need to wait longer. Luckily I got sat in their few middle tables that were spacious. I was able to order quickly and the workers are nice and gave me recommendations. Passion fruit green tea and this was definitely my favorite thing I ordered that day the drink was so light, refreshing, flavorful, but not too sweet the passion fruit seeds being in the drink was annoying though. (4/5) Spicy XLB they came out quick but I wished they were hotter they were just warm but delicious flavor and filling sadly was not spicy though no kick no heat at all. (3/5) Beef rolls nice and crispy lots of scallions and the cucumbers added a nice fresh aspect and crunch but needed more sauce. (3/5) Pan fried dumplings took the longest to come out were crispy but not that flavorful again very filling though. (2/5) Golden prime beef noodle soup I'm sorry but this was just not for my taste at all I can't even describe what flavor the soup was something I have never had before very unique. The noodles were nice and chewy but again I'm expecting soup to be hot but it just came out warm. (1/5) They had some sauce and chili oil on the table and I made a mix but it did not help add flavor to any of the items. I ordered too much and the leftover beef rolls and pan fried dumplings reheated well in the air fryer.

When asked for menu, the server said sorry it's bc they don't have alot of menu books available but proceeded to give me 3 out of like 10 that I see they have. So they obviously had some! There were only 3 tables that had customers. After that taking the menus, we were again not attended to for 20-30minutes, noone brought us water or ever asked if we were ready. We had to flag them, once again. They were at least 3 servers so it's not like they were short of help when there's only 3 tables full at the time. It's like they were ignoring us. We proceeded to order 9 dishes that took awhile to come out. Only 1 dish came out which was the walnut shrimp and then more came out 15minutes later. How do they expect our big party to start eating with just 1 dish. We also had to wait literally 30minutes with nothing to eat for 3 dishes at the end when we finished everything else already. We had to ask about it 3 times. They need better timing in everything.... I noticed a couple tables having the same problems. As for the food, it was alright. The honey walnut shrimp and fried salted pepper shrimp was not crispy. The peking duck was actually great, one of the best. But it is not worth their service & other foods.. There are tons of chinese food options out there, we will not be coming back here. 2il
