Montgomery! This is the BEST place for breakfast and lunch. It is my new go to! Come support them. You will not be disappointed. Over the visits I've had the pancakes, hamburger steak, salad, and the most amazing French fries with homemade ranch dressing.

The service was good. You seat yourself. There is plenty of seating for a party of any size. The ambiance and decor is very homey feeling. The food was great and we had coffee also which was good.

Two separate visits. I always try to experience a place from the jump...before someone has the chance to ruin it for me. I am always understanding of the trials and tribulations of opening a new place. This was a home run. Food was consistent, cooked perfectly. Service was professional and friendly. This is definitely not their first rodeo. They are seasoned professionals. The breakfast was perfection. Highly recommended the southwestern skillet, with its large chunks of crispy homestyle potatoes, chorizo and loads of peppers and onions its so very filling and flavorful. The pancakes are huge and fluffy with just a touch of vanilla. The waffle is perfectly cooked..fluffy with nice crisp edges. I appreciate the warm syrup too! Everything served is very large portions, highly recommend sharing. Lunch I had the burger which was a fresh patty, on a delightfully toasted bun, I added some of that gorgeous thick sliced crispy bacon and a generous portion of avocado. I upgraded the fries to buffalo fries and highly recommend doing that if you are a buffalo fan. Not too spicy but has just the perfect tangy kick. The burger was HUGE, juicy and veggies were perfectly portioned. I am looking forward to trying everything on their expansive menu. Welcome to Montgomery!

We stopped in for a late breakfast. Food was good, service was fast even though the restaurant was full. We will absolutely be back.

We started with the Deviled Egg Flight because I'd never seen deviled eggs featuring Pork Belly and Mexican Street Corn. The flight included three of each, which worked out perfectly since there were three of us. The Mexican Street Corn version packed a little extra kick, but the Pork Belly version stole the show. Honestly, I could have made an entire meal out of those eggs alone. Since it was lunchtime, I went straight for the Pork Belly Reuben Sandwich. I make it a point to try every restaurant's version of a Reuben, but never in my life have I seen corned beef replaced with pork belly. Yikes... I'm drooling again just thinking about it. You owe it to yourself to try this sandwich. It just might be life-changing. (And yes, I'll definitely be back.) My wife ordered the Giant Meatball Pasta while my mother-in-law enjoyed her favorite, the Crab Cakes. Both received enthusiastic thumbs-up reviews. In fact, half of that enormous meatball ended up making the trip home so it could be savored again later. The dessert menu nearly caused a family disagreement. My wife settled on the Piña Colada Tres Leches while Mom chose the Crème Brûlée Cheesecake. Although both generously offered me a taste, my samples were limited to very small spoonfuls. Judging by the fact that both caramel-swirled plates were scraped spotless, I'd say the desserts were a hit. By the end of lunch, both ladies were on the verge of slipping into a food coma, so I dutifully volunteered to take them home. If you're craving exceptionally well-prepared, delicious food, you owe it to your taste buds to stop by Oscar's Bistro. From appetizers to dessert, everything we tried was memorable, and it's the kind of place that has you planning your next visit before you've even left the parking lot. Three enthusiastic thumbs up from our entire table.

Got the breakfast sampler and asked for eggs to be medium and hashbrowns to be well done. I got the hash just done, and the eggs were over easy. I had to ask for them to be sent back and redone because of that. The service was kind though. But the most concerning thing had to be the manager going around the restaurant, loudly smacking flies with a swatter or dish rag. It made a loud crack each time which interrupted everyone's dining, and it was honestly gross when she didn't wipe them off the table after. Please find a better way to take care of your fly problem that isn't killing them with a towel in front of your customers.

The shrimp were actually pretty good if you add some seasoning to them. The fish tasted like dirt. I love catfish and I normally don't get bothered by the dirt taste, but this was pretty bad. I couldn't even eat all of it. My broccoli was cold and the mac & cheese was mealy. and there was no seasoning on that either. My husband had a single small pork chop, which he said was pretty good with potato salad and coleslaw, which are out of a bucket. It was not homemade. We each did get one single roll for the meal with packaged butter that didn't taste like butter at all. The tea was fantastic and so was the weight staff.

The owner apologized saying that no business owner wants to turn away business but it would be a long wait. We went elsewhere but showed up the next night and got the last table in the place. There was a singer, Chris, who was pretty darn good!! We enjoyed his music and his stories. I asked if he knew any Statler Brothers songs and then realized my taste in country music was formed in the 1970s and 80s. Before he was born! But he found one and we loved hearing him sing Counting Flowers on the Wall. He did great at Johnny Cash sings also! They have beers and wines and flights available. My family all enjoyed a few beers and I had a sangria. The burgers and salad were pronounced delicious and I had fish and chips. I'm sure it was commercially made and from the freezer, but actually very good. The fried pickles were better than I'd thought they'd be and the cheese curds were yummy. I got up to use the restroom and a man and his wife were there ( hallway) at the same time, and, he said to her, "Honey, come here you have to see this." They both laughed and I was not gonna miss this so I asked if I could look. Check out my picture of the urinal in the men's room. And what's on the wall opposite it!! We talked to the owner who was so very sweet and friendly. The menu is a hoot to read and the atmosphere is a fun Texas bar. It made for a really fun evening! We will be back next time we visit the family. If you are in the area, go and have fun!
