I love this park! It is so awesome and well maintained. Every time I have the pleasure of accompanying my dad and my parent's Schnoodle (Schnauzer Poodle mix) to this park it is a great experience. It is closed in the winter which is a bummer but completely understood. They have 2 sections for pups. One for large and one for small. You see all kinds of dogs here and they are all relatively well behaved. Even if you only go with someone else's dog as a spectator it is so much fun to see the canines frolicking! And it's obvious how well maintained it is. There is also a lovely "human park." on the same grounds which is beautiful and fun to walk around. It is also a great place for pictures and picnics. read more

This is a great spot to take your dogs. Both large and small, as they have both a small and large dog park. I have two smaller dogs and they enjoy running with dogs their own size and do not have to be intimated with larger dogs in the same area. This place has a beautiful setting and my dogs love it! This is one of many nice places for a picnic in the Danville-Alamo area. There is a large well-kept lawn with a gazebo and a children's play area. There are perhaps a dozen trees to prove shade for a group. Yet another reason to live in CoCo! read more

This park is out of the way and super clean. Never hard to find parking. It can be hard to find a RR, not to far from the Iron Horse Trail. Grass and BBQ areas under cover, so you don't roast. read more

Pulling up to this park, you certainly get the sense that it's this serene, idyllic location. It feels safe and it looks clean. The water feature is a definite plus. It's got a foamy floor and jets of water that spray up. My son was certainly intrigued, although he wasn't particularly interested in actually getting wet. I can see this being a big hit in hot weather, but then again I wonder if it's a madhouse when it's hot. (We went on a day when it was only about 75-80 degrees. Weird California summer!) My son didn't think much of the play structure for 2-5 year olds. He went to the top and just kind of looked around. That seemed to be what all the 2 year olds were doing... But at other parks, there seem to be more things to play with at the top. It's a fairly enclosed space, no fence, but far from the parking lot and it feels enclosed by bushes, trees, etc. read more

My friend's lil cutie pie turned 1 and they had his birthday celebration here. The weather was perfect. Spring had just begun and the grass was full blown green. Lots of run off and play area for the kiddos. There is even a canine playground for the doggies. What a treat for everyone especially the surrounding residents. This is a real nice dog park. It's well maintained and the people are very well aware of their dogs. The only real problem is it's closed 3 months out of the year for maintenance which seems like an awful long time. They need to work on cutting down on the down time. read more

The dogs at this park are fine, but the people are horrible. The majority don't follow the rules and their lack of dog behavior knowledge causes nothing but problems and ruins it for everyone. I will never, ever go here again. read more

I've only ever come here to take my dog to the dog park, so I can only comment on that area of this place. It's well-maintained, and has a large area for both the big dogs and the small dogs. I don't come here as often as I'd like, mainly cause there are other dog parks closer to home & so long as there's a butt to sniff, my dog isn't picky about where we go..... but I will say this: out of all the local dog parks I've been to though, this place is probably the nicest. Ample parking, grassy, good layout, and lots of dogs. read more

Best dog park EVER! Benches for humans, tons of open green space for dogs, and then a further-off area with shavings. All the dogs here seemed totally friendly and happy to play! Great watering station! Everyone seemed friendly (minus one person who had to keep their dog with them on the bench, and as a result the dog barked the entire time, but I'm sure they had a reason). Nice park. The shaded playground area is nice.The best part is the water feature.Sometimes kind of crazy trying to find a parking spot.

I took my 5 month old puppy to this park recently. She is very active and loves to get in there with the bigger dogs! She had a blast. The people were very friendly and even if some owners weren't really "attending" to their dogs, there were enough owners who were that would look out for those dogs. There is two separate areas, one for small pups and one for the larger ones. The large dog park was nice, it had benches and some shade. They had good water fountains. They also had poop bags avail. which is always a plus! People were friendly and overall experience was good! I prefer this dog park than the Heather Farms dog park in WC. read more

I am writing this review because as to many dog owners, their dogs are extremely important to them. During the week when I go, the park is wonderful!! The dogs are lovely and happy and play together. BUT, on the past two Saturdays I have been, I have left within 1 - 3 minutes. The first time, I got a bad feeling and didn't trust my gut. My dog was surrounded and his feet were bitten at. The owners either didn't say anything or they just kind of made a little attempt. The second Saturday, we were able to get in. My dog was being harassed and chased within seconds. I watched in absolute anger as my dog was tail was down and he was so scared. It was like a pack of crazy dogs chasing him. I got out there within 1 mins to get him out. My dog is a totally sweetie. He is loving and just wants to play. He is sensitive and dose not want to fight. I choose this park for the reviews. I feel really disappointed and hope others make a change. If your dogs are in a specific group and only play together, I suggest putting up a sign on Saturday telling people when you want to use the park. Also watch your dogs when new dogs come in. If you have a dog that is territorial, please watch over them. Watch over your dogs and make sure it is safe and fun for everyone. It will take some time to get over what I saw. Went here for a playgroup in the middle of May and unfortunately on a very cold/mild day. The water feature was of course not on but by the looks of it, it seemed to be very small and simple. The playgroup structures were pretty cool and they had a nice train to sit in as well as a huge wooden see-saw. The covered picnic table areas were huge and I'm sure many reserve them so on our playgroup, we just took over a bench. Only problem was the dog park nearby, hence, the smell of dog poop in certain areas. read more

We love taking our little Miniature Pinscher to the Hap Magee Ranch dog park. Great space to run around off-leash and play with other dogs. Wonderful dog-watching. Separate areas for large and small breeds. Everyone picks up their dog's poop. Almost all the owners are responsible and supervise their dogs well. (Of course you'll have the occasional irresponsible owner at any dog park.) Two minor complaints: there's not enough shade in the small dog area, so we can't really take our black pup there when it's hot and sunny because she gets over-heated so quickly, she just ends up standing under the bench in the shade the entire time. It needs some trees! Our other complaint is that the stony path leading up to the dog park entrance is a really difficult surface for our 9 pound little girl to walk on without hurting her feet on sharp, pointy stones, so we have to carry her from the parking lot to the small dog area. But we work around those issues, and overall absolutely love this dog park! read more

I love this place. I take my dog here all the time. The people are friendly and the dogs are great. I have only had a problem here once or twice unlike the dog park in San Ramon. If your dog does get nervous try and stay away on friday afternoon/evening. That's the day where there is a lot of dogs! Sometimes 30 or 40! There are benches to sit and grass for your dog to run on. read more

I'm a big fan of Hap Magee Ranch. I come about 3 times a week. I don't understand why they have not restainded the bench on the little dog park. Alway's have to sit on a doggie bag other wise I will walk away with spinter's on my behind. Ouch !!! Other than that I luv this place. Hopefully my prayers will be ans. and the benches done soon. read more
