This shave ice shop is actually inside a clothing store - totally would not have found it if not for Yelp. The portions are HUGE and the prices are excellent. They have a lot of different flavors, we tried guava, yuzu, and tiger's blood on one and raspberry, lychee, and gummy bear on the other. Highly recommend the raspberry and yuzu, but overall everything was delicious. The shop was very clean and the owner was kind and welcoming. Shave ice in Wahiawa! After lunch in Wahiawa, I searched on my Yelp app for shave ice and found Pineapple Express. I had never heard of it, so I had to go! I easily found free street parking - yay! There's also a free parking lot behind the building. Enter from Westervelt Street. Luckily, I read some of the reviews before I went. This shave ice shop is REALLY inside of a clothing store! It makes it so convenient because I shopped while I waited for my shave ice! (I came back the next day for t-shirts!) Service is friendly and helpful! I got a Local Kine greeting of "Auntie"...haha! It always cracks me up! The small sized shave ice (just $3...dealages!) is actually quite large. It's in a bowl, so there's less mess! The three flavors I picked were guava, coconut, and melona because I wanted the pastel colors to match my Unicorn upgrade! The fun candy like Pop Rocks and Pixy Stix made my dessert so pretty! I returned the next day because there's a Loyalty card and a Yelp check-in offer of a free scoop of ice cream on top of the shaved ice. I got the strawberry guriguri on top of grape, pineapple, and lime flavors! Mmm! They also participate in the FIVE Stars program. What a great find!!!! Located in the 6Sixty Apparel shop, this shave ice spot is JUST the place to refresh you on a hot day. My grandma is at Wahiawa General Hospital and wanted to eat shave ice. Her wish is my command so when 11 came around, I walked her to get her what she wanted and was asking for since 630am. Size small is only $3 and size large is $4. I ordered her a size small since her appetite hasn't been very big but was surprised with how generous and huge their size small shave ice was! And at only $3?!?! SUPER awesome deal. These guys even offer some sugar free flavors so I got her half pineapple and half sugar free strawberry. Had to get some sugar free since I knew she wanted more sugar added to it (aka ice cream lol) . I knew she wanted guri guri (a Maui style sherbets) so they also had a few sherbets that I got added on top. What flavors? Strawberry and pineapple of course. And only $1 per scoop. Long story short, she enjoyed this shave ice SO much, I had to go back in the late afternoon to get her some more. Very easy to find and walk to and if I had more time, I probably would've liked to check out the store a little more rather than just head straight to the shave ice counter and rush to get this back to the hospital without melting. Good news tho, incase anyone else has to make a shave ice run for any hospital guests, the shave ice/sherbet/ice cream held up wonderfully on the walk back. Service was also awesome. Wowza! The shave ice is super flavorful and not icy. Today I went out of my norm and ordered the tigers blood, gummy bear and coconut. Tigers blood was surprisingly super duper tasty! I can't even describe what's in it, you've just got to try it yourself. I'd like a little bigger scoop of ice cream next time. I got a small shave ice so...maybe that's why.. That's sufficient to feed 2-3 people. There's also large shave ice $4. Ice is shaved fine and packed neatly in a recyclable bowl that does not leak. $3 or $4 shave ice includes up to three syrup flavors. Then, you can choose a variety of toppings for an extra cost such as your choice of sherbert or ice cream, choice of snow cap or coconut cap, azuki beans, mochi balls, li hing powder, candies, and the list goes on. I ordered root beer, coconut, and lychee with snow cap and mango sherbert. My son had vanilla, melona and lychee with snow cap and a scoop of mango sherbert. Our order included a spoon and straw. We loved how smooth and fine the shave ice tasted, syrups are yummy and combined toppings make a perfect treat. We stopped in after a trip to the botanical gardens in Wahiawa. My friends kept posting about this shave ice spot and now I understand why. Our daywas not going as planned, we were supposed to go see sunflowers on the North Shore, but an accident closed the roads so we had to turn around. Luckily the botanical gardens were open, not so lucky the heat was intense so when we were done we needed a way to cool off. Came to get a little treat for the kids and my husband ran inside with our 3 year old while the rest of us waited in the car cuz it started raining when we got there. He came back with 2 shave ice and 3 slushy type drinks. One of the workers even walked to our car and helped him carry them. Excellent customer service! The only thing it's that I'm not sure what was ordered because my husband asked for the 5 most popular things and took what he was given lol. The shave ice was not that great but the slushy drinks were really good. Really sweet and packed with sugar, I'm sure, but it was different than other slushy drinks I've had before. I'm not sure what they put inside on the inside of the cup but i think it was condensed milk and it made the drinks so delicious! Although I wouldn't come back here if I were craving shave ice, I'd definitely come back for those drinks and to spoil the kids once in a while.
