Peking . Been wanting this dish for Christmas din din since I first saw a Christmas Story. Soo good. Take the crispy duck with a little meat on the skin, put it in the soft bao bun with some sliced cucumber and some hoisin sauce. Wham o. That's a fried donut with condensed milk Oh and it comes with the rest of the meat diced up with some veggies and lettuce to wrap and eat. The food was ready on time and delivered. The spring rolls were good and but didn't stand out. The Chicken and broccoli was really good - tender chicken, crisp broccoli with a mild sauce. Everything fried (shrimp, spring rolls etc), was doughy and slimy. The BBQ pork was not even meat, is was some kind of fried fat, my husband said it had the consistency of coagulated jello. They have no family style meals, you just have to buy huge plates of food, that are very expensive, and you don't even get rice with an entree. The meat was anyone's guess. It wasn't too crispy though. And the sauce was disappointing: pretty sweet; too salty in a weird way; not much else. Price: A little on the expensive side. $19 for the general tsos, $16 for the fried rice. $20 for the honey walnut shrimp (for my girlfriend). Solid, went there on Christmas and the Asian lady server kicked ass! Seriously she was rocking and rolling all the time we were there. They did a solid plus job the whole way though. Stiff drinks no issues with the food at all. Good serving size sweet and sour pork. Ribs were way too sweet. Meaning that's all we tasted. Was sweet sweet sweet sweet sweet. But we took them home and modified them and they ended up pretty fantastic after modification. The Mongolian beef was spicy and tasty with no issues whatsoever. We stumbled across this restaurant when we were passing through Portland. It's Friday noon and it's very quiet, just us and another table. Inside is a bit old school Chinese restaurant vibe but very clean and neat. Amble parking space right outside. We ordered the Peking duck, ginger scallion crab and beef noodles and all super yummy and authentic taste. Especially the Peking duck, there are two ways to eat, one with the soft bun and one with lettuce, super tasty! Highly recommended if you are looking for a quiet spot for authentic Chinese food.
