Happy Dumpling is a great, unique addition to the West Lebanon area. On our first visit we got the dumplings in spicy sauce and spicy dan dan soup, both were great and very flavorful. Real homemade dumplings - awesome! The noodles were a lot like vermicelli, and neither of the spicy dishes were very spicy but other than that everything was super flavorful, delicious and reasonably priced. First visit to Happy Dumpling yesterday for lunch. I had the dan dan soup, my friend had the spicy beef, and we split some fried dumplings. All the food was fantastic! The soup bowl was large enough that I couldn't finish it, but took the rest home, heated it up tonight and threw in a pack of ramen noodles, and had another delicious meal. This place hit the spot as a pit stop on a long drive back from skiing! It was easy to order at a kiosk in the restaurant, and the food came out hot and pretty quickly. The spicy beef noodle soup was delicious and not too spicy, just a little bit of kick. The pork dumplings were the star of the show. We almost got the soup dumplings, but decided to go with these and they were perfect as they still had a little bit of soup inside. They were hot at first so be careful! Poor ambiance, barren and not cozy at all. We ordered using the computer kiosk and it ended up taking an hour to get our food - 3 orders of dumplings. The soup dumplings were fine, nothing special. The pan fried pork and chive dumplings were good enough. The vegetable dumplings were unappetizing. Everything was served in plastic to go boxes even though we were eating in. Considering how long it took to get our mediocre food with no nice place to sit, I wouldn't eat here again. read more

Very good dumplings and dan dan noodles. They were extremely busy when we were there (on the second day after their grand opening) and are still ironing out some of the glitches in their operation, but Happy Dumpling is a really nice addition to the food options in the Upper Valley. I don't usually write reviews but I do read them. I was anxious to try Happy Dumplin because I love dumplings. I loved loved loved the pan fried pork dumplings. I also tried the noodles which one was too spicy for me and the next time I tried them, I liked them okay enough, but now when I go I just order three orders of the pork fried dumplings. One order to eat and the other two for the rest of the weekend, for putting in my Ninja Foodie on air crisp for 5 to 7 minutes depending on the dumplings. OMG they are devine!!! I got the three orders on Friday and today monday I brought the last 7 to work with me and warmed them in the microwave. It worked okay in the microwave but I think I should have just saved them for dinner when I got home to my Ninja Foodi. I would get them every day, thats how good they are... if I thought that would be a good idea.. which it's not (for me) .... LOL read more
