Somewhat cleaner but still a little stinky ...
    L W.

This review is for the Happy K-9 self serve dog wash only. Full service care is likely much better and surely no less of a bargain. This was our first visit here for self-serve. My pup and I came here in a pinch (extra stinky pup lent some urgency to the matter) after our usual self-serve wash turned us away because they close their wash at 5. Kudos to Happy K-9 for recognizing that 9-5ers also need to wash their dogs. We squeaked in at 5.20 (last wash at 5.30) and the attendant on duty begrudgingly let us in. Bathtime is usually a bonding experience for the two of us. She pretends she hates the experience and I pretend I feel sorry for her. At happy k-9's self serve wash , the role playing was over and pretend became real life. - The wash stall itself is oversized. My 25 lb pup was lost in there and with my shorter stature , I struggled over the tall rim of the stall to reach her. She cowered in a corner while I chased her down with the hose from an uncomfortable distance. - shampoo was terribly watered down. Maybe this is due to the brand of shampoo? Maybe this is the way the pros do it? Or Happy K-9 adds water to economize. In any case, it didn't feel like we were getting much cleaner. The attendant on duty confirmed on checkout that guests often prefer to bring their own product. - the dryer blew only cold air (as far as I could tell? Maybe there is a way to infuse warmer air but said attendant was busy elsewhere and did not offer direction or drop by to check on us after confirming this was our first visit for self serve) . I'm used to lukewarm air from our usual wash. No idea what "professionals" use - maybe this is it - but neither of us liked it very much. - the cost !! $17 for uncomfortable self serve with watered down product , cold dryer air and ambivalent service ? This is 1/3 more than our usual spot which offers more comfortable stalls , better product , warm dryers , and a nice doggy chamois to finish the drying. (Plus a nice grassy lawn in front so said pup can water the grass and read the news after her bath) In summary , I'm hesitant to recommend this spot for self serve - especially if you and your dog are short or you don't tote your own doggy shampoo in your trunk. I do have a newfound appreciation for Pets West - west of town - and in retrospect forgive them for their unwieldy dog wash hours that sent us packing to Happy K-9.

I have taken all my three dogs here for almost five years and I have been happy with them. Lately though, I haven't been able to get an appointment and sometimes had to wait for months. There are always new groomers every time I go there nowadays. The last time I took my little 10 pounder he was badly cut on this neck and the groomer didn't let me know. I noticed when I got him home that he was bleeding and 5 days later he is still in pain and has a big open sore on his neck. I understand that accidents happen but the fact that they groomer didn't find it necessary to let me know is unacceptable. She charged me the full amount and I tipped her 20%. The groomer's name is Lisa and this was the first time I used her for my baby. I have gone back twice to talk to a manager but I haven't been able to find one. I will not return to this location.

Both the babies had a good time!

We had a really fun trip going to Happy K9 to bathe Yoshi the corgi They had everything we needed and then some! Things that I had not even thought of! All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was very easy. The price was affordable and pretty reasonable. I would go again for sure. The only thing...it was kind of close quarters and it made me nervous being in such close proximity to some really big dogs. I worried about my baby. But they all seemed to do well with it. The other thing, Yoshi had no where to go potty. There is a strip of grass out by the highway, but that made me nervous! Why do dogs always have to go right after a bath?

    All clean and happy

This place was great. The staff was helpful and the dog wash stations were clean. We loved it!

    Well groomed poodle

Great job on our poodle's full service grooming. He looks very handsome and happy. She made sure his ear hair was cleaned out for his ear health. His top was a little long but will adjust for next time.

The groomer cut my dogs ear

My dog looks like a three year old groomed him. The cut that I requested is not what my dog received. not go bad... They also cut my dog's ear and didn't bother to let me know so that I could keep an eye on it. These people do not care about animals and are dangerous to animals

*Self Serve Wash- Everyone one was super sweet. Very helpful and so crazy convenient! My baby has ALOT of fur and being able to get walk in tub AND have a dryer is heaven. Grooming can be so expensive for him. It's so much better to be able to go somewhere and be able to wash him myself. Makes life for my boy that much better Would recommend for anyone!!

    So excited for our bath!

Happy K9 was the perfect place to take my babies for their spa day!! The staff was extremely helpful and kind!! They did a wonderful job trimming their nails and we had fun with the self service bath! They were able to get a deshedding treatment and their coats feel so soft. We would highly recommend Happy K9! Our pups are leaving pampered.

What really stood out was how intentional they were about involving us in the process. They made sure we understood the training, practiced with Mochi, and felt confident continuing everything at home so the results actually stick post-board and train. He is now a very fond memory of a wonderful pet and companion. We lost him to cancer about 4 years ago. The Way I messed up is with our current 7.7 pound 15 month old Pomeranian. We attempted to train him using Lucky Dog training in Keller. We tried obedience, manners and zen classes. As he completed each of these classes our goal was to get him into agility. We were assured he was ready for agility based on the instructor's recommendations. Our first Agility teacher was patient and very good with our little man. Our second agility instructor was very good at agility course work but was terrible at teaching him or us behavior techniques. Mind you the techniques we learned in the previous classes only worked minimally at best. It all came to a head when we were given very strict instructions as to not come to class early, remove him from the training area when he was not in the ring; all in a text message. No phone call until the decision was made to remove him from the program. The excuse was that the trainer was busy. If they had enough time to send a text, a phone call would have been quicker and we might have been able to come to a compromise. We had no clue that this was coming. We had concerns but no way given help to deal with our dog. After a call from the owner it was decided our dog was no longer welcome. In Desperation, I called Brian and explained the situation. He was overwhelming willing to help. In the approximately 6 weeks since the occurrence at Luck Dog, Brian has our little man in line and he is much easier to take in public. I venture to say he will be a wonderful dog in short order. Brian accomplished more in six weeks than Lucky Dog training was able to accomplish in five months. You cannot go wrong with using this man.

My fiancé found Off Leash, watched all of the videos on their training and we decided to go for their 8 week program. We started with the trainer Brandon and he was wonderful. He really took the time to let Angus get comfortable with him and showed us several commands that had us in awe.
