Brought our dog in the other day after the dog park. Little bit pricey considering they provide you with watered down shampoos and conditioner. Everything was clean and in good shape otherwise. Will definitely continue to bathe our dog at home and deal with cleaning the tub! Would not recommend based on the products being so severely watered down. read more

The young girl who helped us was very rude. She rolled her eyes as soon as I said I wanted to be the one to wash my dog and not once smiled. A smile goes a long way and she did nothing but roll her eyes and act like I'm not worth her time. On the bright side, the other middle aged lady who was helping another customer was very sweet and commented on our pretty mastiff. I wish I would have gotten the name of the rude young brunette who helped us though. I work in customer service and it's not right to take your bad day out on the customer. I was not once rude nor did I decide to complain to a manager, just on yelp ;) It was a bit pricey for our extra large lady, $25 before our 50% discount (from yelp). It was $37 if they had washed her for me. So I think I'll save my money and stick to washing her in the tub next time! read more

First timer: I called to see if they were open today, 4th of July and they were !!! They took my dog an hour after I called. When I went to check in everyone was very friendly and helpful. I was told between two-three hours and when I called three hours later he was ready for pick up! He was very happy and clean! They did a wonderful job! I will be back ! My sister recommended that I bring my dog here. I have arthritis and it's been harder and harder pickling up my little chunky dog to wash him in the bathtub. I loved that he could really up the stairs right in to the bathing stall. They had everything I needed to bathe Murray myself and the staff offered suggestions and showed me ways to improve bathing Murray myself. I think he's the cleanest he's ever been. More like, "UN-Happy K9!" I usually take my three dogs to a groomer that I have used for years/(not, Happy K9.) But, my schedule has been really busy, and I haven't had a chance to take them. Their nails were getting long, so I decided to take them to Happy K9 because I didn't want to accidentally cut one too short/hurt them. I've/my dogs have been there a few times before and we were in their computer system. So basically, they have a self grooming price list and another price list if they will be doing the grooming/services. Oddly, when paying for THEM to trim my dogs nails, I always have to hold my dogs/help them? So, groomer got through my first dog(Chihuahua) okay, second dog cut one nail too short/was bleeding, third dog cut 2 nails too short/was bleeding everywhere. When paying, I paid full price, and they even tried to overcharge me/had to make corrections. After leaving there, I thought...how HORRIBLE, the service was! What I was trying to avoid...I paid them, to injure two of my dogs! Tried for several weeks to speak to a manager about experience, left my number, no call back. I called once again and FINALLY spoke to a manager who had to speak to the owner about it. Never got any kind of deductions/reimbursements. Worst part, was...how they injured my dogs, caused them pain, and who were bleeding from their visit to Happy K9! NOT, happy! (If I could, I would rate them, -5 stars!) Love this place. We rarely use the self wash and opt for a groomer instead. I have an Old English Sheepdog and like his hair cut but keeping his face longer like a Sheepdog should look. Took my GSP here today to have his nails ground. For whatever reason his nails always split when they clip them so I just get them ground down. We just moved back in town and it was way past time for them to be done so we found this place. They offer a $10 nail clip and a $15 clip and grind but no grind on its own. I figure if anyone just wants a grind you're charged for the $10 clip. Not the case. You get charged $15 for the double service when only 1/2 of it is done. That makes no sense to me but what do I know I guess. They did just okay on his nails. Just spend $40 on a dremel and try to get comfortable doing it yourself. Their self serve baths are also overpriced and they consider anything over 60lbs an XL. Didn't think an average Lab was considered and XL dog. It's a really nice and well maintained place but they're overpriced in almost all categories. read more

Nice, easy and fast!! The only issues I had were.... the soap was like water, it literally poured out like water and we had to use a lot of it. Also, when checking out the front desk girl had a tiny teacup yorkie on her lap... it made me nervous it was going to fall off that tall stool. She had no handle on it! My dog and I were the first customers. We would both rate the business as outstanding. My dog is attended to by the groomer, Melissa. She has taken time to get to know us both very well. She does a fabulous job. I feel the business provides a personal touch that bigger stores do not. They go out of their way to work you in if you have a dirty dog 'emergency'. I have found their prices very reasonable (slightly power than what I used to pay at Petsmart for the same service.) They also have a punch card for loyal clients and you end up with a free groom once you have met the required number of visits. They have recently begun to offer training classes in the evening with an outside certified dog trainer whom I would also recommend. I feel lucky to live only a few miles away. read more

I love, love, love these guys! I have a big indoor dog that I like to keep smelling fresh so my house doesn't get 'that' dog smell. I bring him here about once every two weeks. I go back and forth between washing him myself and having them wash him so they can do the doggy maintenance stuff. First off, these guys love your dog almost as much as you do. Within a couple visits they already knew my guy and was greeting him by name. I could tell he loves them too by the tail wagging and kisses he gives. Second, their prices are great. I used to go to Petsmart and was just amazed at how much cheaper these guys are. Last, the convenience is just wonderful. I don't have to mess up my bathtub or try to dry my pooch with my hair dryer. They have everything you could want and some stuff you didn't even know you wanted. I've never had a bad experience here and my boy has been here over 20 times already. I had been coming to happy k9 for years seeing the same groomer (Susan) I first met her at this location then was informed next visit that she works at the Clifford location. Me and my little guy had been seeing her for a year and all was perfect until my last two visits! They were beyond HORRIBLE when I scheduled an appointment I was not told that Susan no longer worked there. When I arrived I was told my pet was going to be groomed by Abby, I was hesitant but allowed it since I was ALREADY there with dog in hand. When I picked me dog up he seemed sad and mopey which was very unusual for him as with Susan he would always come out running with tail wagging. I shrugged it off until I got home and got him out of the car, he began limping on his right rear leg and would barely walk for the rest of the day. I took him to the vet and spent over $300 on x-rays and medications. A couple of months go buy and he needs a hair cut again after my previous visit I refused to take him back to the Clifford location so I took him to the Camp Bowie location. Since I hadn't been there in a while I asked the girl on the phone if I needed to bring updated vaccine history. I was told no my pet was current with vaccine history, I asked for the earliest appointment they had and was told 8. I explained to the girl that I had to be at work at 8 and if I could drop them off earlier she told me YES I could drop them off as early as 7:30! Come to find out day of dropping them off that the facility doesn't open until 8!! I had to call my boyfriend who drove from ALEDO to stay with the dogs so I could get to work on time. Leaving him with a detailed note of my instructions with how I wanted my pets groomed. I THEN GET A PHONE CALL AT WORK from them saying that they need my vaccine history AFTER I was told my records were current. I have them call my vet and get records and all was well UNTIL I pick up my pets. When I pick my pets up my Pekingese was basically bald. I requested a lions cut and she had cut him so short he was trembling then to add insult to injury my other dogs nails were not trimmed. I was told that what they had scheduled me for was JUST a bath. I paid $40 for JUST a bath. They wanted as much as it cost for my Pekingese to get bathed nails, anal sacs expressed and hair cut for her to get a bath with a nail trim. At this point I was fed up and requested to speak to the manager. I had a managed named MELISSA call me AT WORK. I spent 45mins on the phone with her expressing my concerns she shrugged everything off as a MISUNDERSTANDING. I requested my money back but was told all they would do is cut the nails for free and asked me I I could bring my dog in for the free nail trim. I explained that I was at work and live in aledo so I wasn't going to drive back and forth for a nail trim. I was also told that NEXT TIME my dog is hurt I should take them to THEIR vet not mine. So not only did I spend an extra $300 on vet bills but an additional $100 in mediocre grooming. GO HERE ONLY IF YOU WANT YOU'RE DOGS HURT OR IF YOU WANNA WASTE MONEY. This place is horrible never going back GO SPEND YOU'RE MONEY AT METRO WEST!! They finish the pets in 1-2 hours anyways! read more

Great place to either wash your pets yourself or have the friendly staff do it for you. Either way you'll save some money over other groomers. We usually have the staff bath or dogs for us. They are always dove on time and usually sooner. read more

Very disappointed. Had both of my puppies in the car, fought the traffic, went totally out of my way to come try this place out. We arrived at 5:32 only to be told that we couldn't wash because the last bath was accepted at 5:30. That's not customer service, in my opinion. I work at a dental office and we accept late patients every day. Sad to think that, with the place totally empty, they couldn't make an exception. Great solution for washing your pet but there are some negatives. I used to work in the grooming salon at Petsmart and loved that I was still able to use the type of dryers they have myself with my dog at this business. I normally BRING MY OWN SHAMPOOS & CONDITIONER though because I'm not too convinced with the quality of the ones they give you when you purchase the SELF WASH option (although I do have a Pomeranian & believe it's more important for this breed than others). I do HATE the type of water faucet/hose they have though; it's basically an outside hose topper (bulky kind where you have to squeeze the handle in order for water to come out). It makes it DIFFICULT for use so if it wasn't for the DRYER OPTION I'm not sure I would come here otherwise. I'm sometimes a bit more picky than most, however, so don't knock it until you try it which I WOULD RECOMMEND at least once. read more

This is a great self wash place. Everything is clean and tidy, and the people working there are friendly. The shampoo provided is a bit watery, but it got the job done. The water pressure is nice and strong, which is helpful for getting off excess shedding hair, and the dryers are really powerful. The towels provided worked, for my basset hound, but if your dog is bigger than that, then you might want to bring your own towels. read more
