Best place to get your dog groomed! Nice customer service! Clean, hospitable environment.

I had been coming to happy k9 for years seeing the same groomer (Susan) I first met her at this location then was informed next visit that she works at the Clifford location. Me and my little guy had been seeing her for a year and all was perfect until my last two visits! They were beyond HORRIBLE when I scheduled an appointment I was not told that Susan no longer worked there. When I arrived I was told my pet was going to be groomed by Abby, I was hesitant but allowed it since I was ALREADY there with dog in hand. When I picked me dog up he seemed sad and mopey which was very unusual for him as with Susan he would always come out running with tail wagging. I shrugged it off until I got home and got him out of the car, he began limping on his right rear leg and would barely walk for the rest of the day. I took him to the vet and spent over $300 on x-rays and medications. A couple of months go buy and he needs a hair cut again after my previous visit I refused to take him back to the Clifford location so I took him to the Camp Bowie location. Since I hadn't been there in a while I asked the girl on the phone if I needed to bring updated vaccine history. I was told no my pet was current with vaccine history, I asked for the earliest appointment they had and was told 8. I explained to the girl that I had to be at work at 8 and if I could drop them off earlier she told me YES I could drop them off as early as 7:30! Come to find out day of dropping them off that the facility doesn't open until 8!! I had to call my boyfriend who drove from ALEDO to stay with the dogs so I could get to work on time. Leaving him with a detailed note of my instructions with how I wanted my pets groomed. I THEN GET A PHONE CALL AT WORK from them saying that they need my vaccine history AFTER I was told my records were current. I have them call my vet and get records and all was well UNTIL I pick up my pets. When I pick my pets up my Pekingese was basically bald. I requested a lions cut and she had cut him so short he was trembling then to add insult to injury my other dogs nails were not trimmed. I was told that what they had scheduled me for was JUST a bath. I paid $40 for JUST a bath. They wanted as much as it cost for my Pekingese to get bathed nails, anal sacs expressed and hair cut for her to get a bath with a nail trim. At this point I was fed up and requested to speak to the manager. I had a managed named MELISSA call me AT WORK. I spent 45mins on the phone with her expressing my concerns she shrugged everything off as a MISUNDERSTANDING. I requested my money back but was told all they would do is cut the nails for free and asked me I I could bring my dog in for the free nail trim. I explained that I was at work and live in aledo so I wasn't going to drive back and forth for a nail trim. I was also told that NEXT TIME my dog is hurt I should take them to THEIR vet not mine. So not only did I spend an extra $300 on vet bills but an additional $100 in mediocre grooming. GO HERE ONLY IF YOU WANT YOU'RE DOGS HURT OR IF YOU WANNA WASTE MONEY. This place is horrible never going back GO SPEND YOU'RE MONEY AT METRO WEST!! They finish the pets in 1-2 hours anyways! read more

I am new to the area and made an appointment based on a friend's recommendation. I asked for a trim and nail care. I got a wash and nail care. I explained when I made the appointment that I was looking for a summer cut. I explained that my dog had surgery and wanted the rest of her coat the same length as the (now healed) area of surgery. My daughter dropped off our pet, and again, asked them to be careful around the surgical area. It wasn't until our dog was in the back that she was told that a trim wasn't included in the care. Only a wash. So, we really don't know what they did for our money. Based on weight, we paid $70 for a wash and nail trim, I guess. I would rather pay for someone to come to the house for that. read more

This place was spotless. The staff was really nice and extremely helpful as it was our first time there. They walked us thru each step if self wash and pointed out all the free amenities. Definitely bringing my pup back for another bath soon. read more

I started using Happy K-9 in White Settlement because I loved the do it yourself setup. Eventually I let them do the wash and groom. Then Camp Bowie opened and I lived closer. They have always done a great job with old and young dogs. Highly recommend them. Good prices and finish in great time. read more

Monica and Bernadette gave my Shih Tzu and Poodle the best haircuts they've had. They hand-scissored their legs, what a difference! I have tried many local groomers and have never been happy with the cuts, these girls are really good at what they do! The place is clean, friendly, and my dogs were in and out within 3 hours. Strolled upon this DIY wash after walking the trails at clearfork! The staff was very accommodating and walked us through everything. The facility is super clean and has great options for your dog I also love that they have complimentary bandanas after the wash! read more

I heard about these places but never had been to a DIY dog wash. So glad I tried. They were very clean, new equipment, all supplies provided with dog cologne and bandanas! Great dog blow dryers too. Staff was friendly. Convenient location, close to down town. Very affordable at 30$ for 2 dogs washed and nail clipping. read more

The first time I took my dog for a groom here it was an amazing experience, but my recent visit was a different story. I'm not sure if there was a staff change or what but when I took my dog the groomer acted like it was such a hassle to groom my dog whenever that's her job, and was also rude. My dog has a lot of hair and sheds a lot and that's the reason I took him for a groom. Once I picked him up his hair was not even at all, and had random long pieces on his tail, whenever the rest was shaved. I also requested his tail to be brushed out (I was willing to pay more) but instead she just shaved the hair off lol if i knew she was gonna do that i could've just brushed it out myself. I was told medicated shampoo was used and once I got home I noticed he had hot spots under his arms and by his mouth that were not there before. His eye was also very red and swollen. I will not be returning to this location for sure. read more

This place is great to wash your own dog! Reasonably priced too. They provide everything you need ( shampoo, conditioner, towels, even dog brushes) so you don't need to bring anything. I have a husky so this made it easy for me with out having to get dog hair and water all over my bathroom. Also love the dryer which was also a problem to use when using my own lol. Will definitely recommend for anyone who has a big dog! read more

After going to the same groomer for years I decided to try someone different because of distance! It's really hard to find someone you trust with you dogS and somewhere you know they will treat them well and do a good job at an affordable price. Well this place is it! I took both my Maltese in with one being elderly and Suzanne at the Camp Bowie location did an amazing job! My dogs looked amazing when they came out and were happy as can be! She even went the extra mile to keep my older dog warm the whole time. The facility is very very clean and everyone is so friendly! Would def recommend to anyone. read more

Brought my 12 year old basset here for a wash now that the weather is too cold to do it outside. The staff is very helpful if it's your first time and they walk you through how to use all of the equipment. Great experience and will return! read more

I called them this morning asking if I could bring my 11 month lab mix in for a wash- they said absolutely! When I dropped her off everyone was so pleasant and I felt like I was leaving her in great hands. Less than 4 hours later I picked up my sweet little lab and she was clean as a whistle and smelling like a rose. Thank y'all so much- it was her first real grooming since I've rescued her and I can already tell she is a happier pooch. I'll be coming back in soon! read more

I started going to Happy K9's far westside location so was happy they opened up on Camp Bowie. But--was happier still when I found not just the same great amenities but the same wonderful personnel (specifically--Kendyl). In a nutshell--you can either do it yourself using their user-friendly tubs, shampoos and driers, or, for a slightly higher price (still very reasonable) they'll take over and do the entire dog wash for you. (I've got a large dog who's super skittish. I pay them to do the wash, but they let me assist. At this point, I think she'd be just fine if I let them do the whole thing.) So happy For Worth has a place this nice to take our dogs for the kind of grooming they need. Clean, affordable and friendly--just great. read more

I usually take my dogs to PetSmart, but while driving from the store I noticed there was a new pet grooming spot, I decided to give Happy K9 a chance. I dropped my dog off around 9:00 a.m., and he was ready before noon. Everything was perfect, the timing, price, and his great haircut. To my horror, later on that day I noticed my dogs tail was badly cut in two different spots. Accidents happen, but at least the groomer could have been an honest professional and mention this injury to me. These were no little clipper nicks, if I noticed it, the groomer noticed it. NO INTEGRITY. read more
