TLDR: small shop, no Thai tea, all their drinks taste the same. Boba is super soft and chewy. Should've tried their cheese drink since that's what their known for. Not too sure what the hype was about. Showed up on their grand opening around 7 pm and the line was out the door, but the inside isn't very big so an estimate would be about ~15 people in front of me. Waited an HOUR to get my drinks, but I get that it was their opening day and they had a BOGO deal. For about 20 minutes of the hour though the line didn't move at all, not sure why but we were freezing. Once we got inside, which was close to the 50 minute mark, we noticed the place was insanely small and cramped. There were chairs everywhere and like 2 tables. Doesn't seem like a great place to hang out with friends or study at the moment. Moving on, the menu is pretty small. Not as many flavors as the other boba shops in town. No Thai tea which is basically a staple in Fresno. I got the boba milk tea w/ the puff cream and my friend got the boba milk tea. They taste exactly the same, I'm not sure what the puff cream was all about but it made the drink more expensive. The boba pearls were soft and chewy. Some of the best I've had here, but the actual drink was a but disappointing. I may have made a mistake not getting their cheese drink so I'll probably be back to try that. My bf got the Oreo milk tea and it taste exactly like the boba milk tea, but we Oreo crumbs lol. I guess we'll be back one day just to try more stuff out, but definitely not my go to spot. read more

Happy Lemon is one of my favorite shops so far in the East side of Fresno. I like their D11 ,brown sugar milk tea, taste so addictive. Their pearl is also cook well enough, chewy and tasty. Their original waffle is also my favorite snack. read more

Service is slow, considering I just ordered simple drinks with no toppings and there is only one customer in front of me. Also, people behind me get their drinks before me, I guess because they are friends with the server. (Unequal treatment here ) Anyways, I am not coming back again. read more

I'm obsessed with Happy lemon! They have amazing drinks and their salted cheese is soooo good. My new favorite drink is the tiramisu with salted cheese, but any drink off the salted cheese series is good. If you're scared to try salted cheese, don't be! It's like a foamy cream cheese and it's the best part of a drink, when added. Their slush series are also my favorite and for some reason I love them when it's really cold outside. The ingredients are fresh, you can taste the flavor of the tea without it being overpowering and everything just blends together well. You can tell there was thought about what flavors compliment others to create these drinks. And of course the staff are very friendly and happy to help every time. read more

Fresno has relatively limited choices when it comes to boba/milk tea and the continued hope is that a better option or franchise than this one comes along. I've tried to refrain from rating this location poorly but today's service was just terrible. Main issue with this location has always come down with service (or rather lack thereof). I was informed today that Honey Lemon only uses an app to track rewards points now instead of the physical cards and the cashier was telling customers that you don't need to sign up for the app now, you can just make a purchase and add points later in the app when you get home. She informed that if for some reason the app didn't work, to come back to the store and they could manually add points for you. Well, after making a purchase, we found that there was no way to add points within the app for a prior purchase. When we brought this up with the same cashier, she smiled, shrugged, and literally walked away from the counter. Hats off to excellent customer service training obviously. With shockingly bad customer service, I find little reason to come back other than because it is one of the few options available in the area. Hopefully Fresno will have better options the next time we are back in the area. read more

The drinks were great. Just as wanted but when I ordered 2 milk tea drink in L, 1 is Okinawa and the other is Jasmine Green. I didn't get extra for my Jasmine Green Milk Tea drink and my friend gotten her drink Okinawa Milk Tea with extra boba. I believe they charge 0.25€ extra topping. I spoke clearly that for both drinks extra is L and extra boba. Which is fine and it happens. read more

So this place is actually quite different from other boba places that I've visited they have a certain variety of drinks that are very difficult to explain but this is definitely you either like it or you don't and given my visit here I enjoyed it mainly for the service of the staff members they are super kind and have a good attitude. I appreciate them! But if you have a sensitive taste buds I'd recommend starting off with a slush (I got mango lemon) it was super delicious. read more

Loved the milk tea and the waffle is pretty yummy! Definitely alot of options on the menu but I tend to stick to the classic milk tea. I appreciate the ability to choose amount of sweetness and ice. The drinks came out pretty fast but the waffle was a bit of a wait. So be aware of that if you are in a rush. The friendliness of the employees is hit or miss I believe. When we went the female employee was very cheerful and welcoming. The male employee was well mannered but not as welcoming and cheerful. read more

I'm going to just make this quick. I don't get the hype at all (no matter how small it was). I got the Taro Milk Smoothie, it was gross af, I only took 2 sips and trashed it. First, I asked if they used Real Taro, because syrups and powder makes me feel bloated (tmi), and they said "Yes". It was the canned Taro, that one is brown, chunky, and loaded with preservatives. I honestly would've preferred the syrup... Second, they just dumped the Taro in after the boba, then the milk alternative slush on top... Wtf... How is that a smoothie. Nothing was mixed. And you can't shake it to mix it because it won't mix well, and it's just a chunk of both products. Either you're drinking the brown canned Taro (Real Taro is technically supposed to be White) or you're drinking the milk alternative slush... It was gross, you taste the canned preservative Taro pieces. Third, the Boba was that 5min cheap boba pearls. You can tell it's not chewy or soft, it's just a whole solid piece. I was disappointed, the only thing I liked was the color of the place. read more

So I had to check this place out, it's not bad the drink I had was good. (Mango orange w/soy) And you get to decide how sweet you want it and the ice level as well.i think that's pretty neat, just wish they had more soy options and coffee flavors as well. My husband and I've been to many different boba places having been living in SoCal for over a decade. We've also tried many different boba places in NorCal as well since we travel to SF quite often. To my surprise, this particular Happy Lemon exceeded my expectations. I'm a regular at The Happy Lemon in Irvine, but this one is definitely very different and better than the one we have in Irvine. The salted cheese milk tea here is probably one of the best milk tea and cheese foam combo I've ever had. My husband got their lemon black iced tea because he wanted something different and this was what they've recommended. For the record, we are both milk tea lovers and we've never bought anything other than milk teas at boba places and we both loved their lemon iced tea. It's very refreshing and the lemon juice/lemon they used is so different which gives the drink a perfect blend. Overall, I would give it a 5/5. This interior is very modern and clean. Their staffs were very friendly and they have a few tables where people can sit and hangout. Definitely very different and unique compared to other boba places in town. For the first timers, I would recommend you to try one of their specialty drinks. read more

I got the boba milk tea with puff cream. Their tea is too floral for my liking compared to other tea places. The milk tea I ordered must have had mint of some kind in it, too. I'm allergic, so my throat and tongue started burning after a few sips, so I had to throw it out...It could have been that they used the same shakers/measurement utensils and left some mint behind or maybe their tea blend has mint? I have no idea...But I guess that's probably my fault for not mentioning it, but since it was opening weekend, they looked super busy and I got a simple milk tea, so I didn't think I'd have to worry about it.. read more

The crowaffle was mid and the lattes we ordered were not great. Not much flavor, just super sweet. Also $1.50 add on for oat milk is pretty ridiculous. You want great flavorful coffee, go to Chez Maryse. My daughter got the chia seed pudding and lavender latte which she said was gross and gave her stomach problems afterwards. She had come here before bc everyone she knew seems to love this place- BUT she thought it wasn't that great but ended up receiving a bunch of gift cards to use. I don't think we will come here again though - there are way better options.
