Love that they're on doordash. My usual go-tos are their strawberry shortcake and their wintermelon tea. Both do not have caffeine so I can drink some even late at night. I always go with less ice to get more tea and to really taste the flavor. They also just recently opened a Federal Way branch inside The Commons. The boba here is excellent. I tried their salted cheese foam on their strawberry green tea and it was phenomenal. I was not prepared to love it and was pleasantly surprised. Happy Lemon - Getting my favorite drink from Happy Lemon - Bubble Tea Near Me - Tacoma, Washington

Customer service was exquisite. The workers at Happy Lemon are kind, receptive, and welcoming. We ordered three drinks: Brown Sugar milk tea with crystal boba, one mango smoothie made with oat milk and boba, and lastly a green tea with a fruit syrup boba and lychee jelly. The brown sugar milk tea was rated 2/5 by my partner "I've had better but it's not the worse I just personally wouldn't order it again." My Mango smoothie was not very strong in mango flavor though I saw they do use real fruit pieces. They were able to accommodate and make it with oat milk which was a plus since I am allergic to dairy but the drinks in which you could use alternative milks were quite limited compared to other boba shops I have been to. Overall I would rate my mango smoothie a 2/5. I didn't finish it and eventually threw it away because it really didn't have much flavor. Lastly, for the drinks, my sister had the fruit green tea (sorry I don't recall which one). Her drink was the best by far. With everyone agreeing that it was a solid 4/5 drink. We did order their waffle treats and had two Oreo waffles, and one chocolate waffle. With the chocolate bubble waffle being the best. They are definitely worth getting as a sharing food as they were big and none of us could finish them! The waffles were quite plain so we all rated them a 3/5 We did try some dipping sauces for the waffles as we had the salted cheese, tiramisu salted cheese, and the Oreo puff dip. The Oreo puff dip was the best being declared a 4/5 by the group. The salted cheese dips (including tiramisu) were way too salty and the group did not continue to eat them 0/5 (just eat the waffles plain, it's better that way). Overall the inside of the store was nice though some tables were dirty when we came in and there were no customers. (I understand you get busy but I work in food service and when it slows down that is the best time to clean.) In addition, their waffle makers were caked in food with tons of food from throughout the day sitting under, around, and on the machines. Yuck! I've never seen such a dirty boba shop... Overall I would rate this place a 3/5 it wasn't terrible and like I said WONDERFUL customer service but I've definitely been to better boba places with better prices for better quality. read more

Probably best milk tea in Tacoma. They are using brewed tea and not powder. Also their tea is very flavorful so that I can taste it even after making into milk tea, which I really like. Their smoothies also are delicious. If you are looking for real tea in milk tea then this is your place. If you prefer your tea NOT just milk and sugar then this is your place. If you don't like overly sweet boba then this is your place. Most other places in Tacoma either use cheap tea, with mostly milk or cream (result in bland flavor) or powder as base for their boba. Some places even have the audacity to tell me that their sugar level was not that sweet but even with the lowest sugar level, it was nasty. read more

Great boba place very close to where I live. Had some strawberry jasmine green tea, personally I will avoid the cheese foam in the future, but it's not enough to take anything away from this place. Pro: very cute, good location, delicious boba, kind staff Con: came here to do some work, I wouldn't recommend this for studying. Finally opened a location in Tacoma! Tea was excellent as always. Just note they did just open so they are still working on keeping everything stocked so be understanding if you have to substitute items. When I went they were out of tapioca. New to Tacoma. They offer a very limited menu of bubble waffles & bubble tea! The waffle iron makes the waffles have huge "bubble" shapes in the actual waffles.The waffles are held in your hand, and can be eaten with the wildest dipping sauces! (snickers, oreo, etc,) You won't find forks, nor any butter nor maple syrup here. This cheerful little place has a modern Japanese/ Taiwanrse style reminiscent of "Hello Kitty," & will probably appeal to the same demographic. The waffles are good but different. They have great boba tea, unique combos, and friendly staff. One of our favorite boba places in town.

The first time I tried to go was 15 minutes before closing, cutting it close, IK. But as I pulled up, I noticed they were already locking up, and headed to their car to leave. I stayed for a minute in the parking lot and noticed others trying to get some Boba and being fouled that even tho they are still supposed to be open, they aren't. It's just boba, a simple little drink, but at the end of the day, it's disappointing customer service and care. The menus are very hard to read and navigate. The easier, more legible, the simpler an experience can be making it more enjoyable. For me I stood there stressing on what I was gonna order because of how stressful it is to read the menu. I finally just said pick one for me, and whatever the cashier had picked was good, as well as my friends. The customer service was just OK. They didn't seem to be happy to be their and just wanted to get your order done with, rather than helping or working through a decision with you. They didn't have recommendations, hints why I just said pick one. Do not really care for this place, it's kinda overwhelming, and would pick another Boba shop over this one. read more

When she came back to the register she didn't ask me what I wanted to order. She just stared at me with a black expression after I said hi. The drinks and bubble waffles are great. The service not quite the best I did a order pick up along with my sister in law and it was the worst experience I came in to let the clerk know I placed an order through yelp for pick up but accidentally clicked delivery and to not let any drivers pick it up. After he confirmed that my order was received I went back to my car to wait for my order. Waited about 10 mins went in to see if my drinks were on the counter nothing. I go to have a seat and wait about 10 or so customers come in after me and already received there orders before I have. At this point I have been waiting 30 or so minutes until the rush slows down and finally asked if I have been helped. I told him I placed orders online for pick up and that is when they finally made our drinks. I do not suggest anybody order for pick up just go In and order your drinks you will be served so much faster. read more
