I go to quite a few Vietnamese cafes in Seattle, so I have my standards. Unfortunately, their coffee did not meet my standards at all. The coffee tasted like it was made straight from one of those Vietnamese instant coffee packets. I do drink that here and there at home, but it's not the kind of taste I want from a cafe. Now the biggest issue that I came across is when I asked for no ice in my drink, the employee gave me an apologetic smile and said she would try her best. As you see in the picture, it isn't completely full. Now I saw a review that complained about a similar issue and the business owner said that you can just let staff know that you want the cup to be filled and they would do their best to accommodate. Not sure if that is just miscommunication or just something the owner said to seem like they are solving the issue but it seems really unprofessional. I understand that it can alter the drink's intended flavor but I ask for no ice all the time and am always happy with how it turns out. You check my photos of drinks from other places and I always ask for no ice as I have sensitive teeth and I don't like the condensation it causes. Other than that issue, it's good to see Lakewood have a nice boba and coffee spot. Additionally, they have two crane machines and board games to enjoy too. They are also dog friendly as long as they are well-behaved and don't cause any messes.
