I live in Miami and let me tell you... for the quality, hand shaped acrylic full set with gel I got at Happy Nail, would have EASILY been $200 anywhere in Mia, for $55 before tip - I would have even been happy with slightly off shaping. Fabulous service and non judgmental haha. I hadn't had a pedicure since my wedding years ago I was embarrassed by my feet, but needed to fix it. Came in with my husband and they took us in right away. Lots of beautiful colors to choose from and I adored the paraffin wax. I always go for the Cadillacs treatment of pedicures and this did not disappoint. My husband enjoyed his service as well. Very clean and beautiful on the inside. You can tell they take pride in their business. We hadn't planned to get pedicures that day or I would have brought cash. But they do accept credit cards and even zelle. Highly recommend and will be back. read more

I was in Palm Springs for a wedding and found this nail salon via the good reviews here on Yelp. I called and they were able to fit me and my sibling in on the same day. The salon is pretty basic, but very clean and welcoming. They have a larger than normal selection of colors, and I was able to receive a gel mani and pedi from a kind gentleman that was meticulous and kind. I also booked a pedicure for my brother (his first!) and the woman did a great job on his ugly toes, Lol. While my gel nails peeled off approximately a week later, the staff at this salon did a great job in a short amount of time. If you are visiting the area, this is a good solid place to get your nail services done. read more

Giving two stars because they (1) fit me in for a same-day appointment and (2) changed nail technicians when I insisted that I did not want to finish my powder dip manicure with gel top coat/UV light. I will not be back. Visiting from LA for the holidays, I was unable to get my nails done at my regular place and needed a nail trim and polish change. Happy Nails was only 15 minutes from me, whereas higher rated places in Palm Desert were nearly 40 minutes away. Plus, I had called for a same-day appointment and they were able to fit me in. There's a parking lot behind the salon, which is also accessible from the front on Palm Canyon Drive. Upon arrival, I was seated immediately. There were four other patrons getting pedicures. The gentleman who had taken my call greeted me and gave me a selection of colors to choose from. The technician who sat in front of me had AirPods on and appeared to be on the phone with someone as she asked which color I wanted -- that was the only question she asked before starting the manicure: she did not ask if I wanted a cut down or file only, or what shape of the nail. I understand a certain shorthand for regular customers, but these are basic questions I expect, especially as a new customer. The other technicians seem polite, having conversations with other customers, but this one was all business -- unfortunately, the quality of her work did not make up for her lack of congeniality. She places a UV nail lamp on the table and gel base coat, so I confirm that I'm in for a dip manicure, to which she says, yes. She then starts removing the old polish with an electric file aggressively close to the cuticle, causing the skin to break. She pauses to find two (dirty) bowls, which she wipes down with a paper towel and fills with acetone. As she moves between hands, placing one in a bowl to soak while working the drill bit over the other, it took me by surprise when she starts cutting the nails of my left hand. By the time I could say something, she had already cut the nail too short. Without acknowledging the mistake, she continues cutting the nails on my left hand before returning it to soak in the acetone. For the right hand, she takes out a nail file and "asks" if I prefer the nails to be filed instead of cut down. I said I don't mind the nail being cut but want to confirm the length and shape. She continues cutting the nails and filing, all while taking phone calls over her AirPods. Afterward, without asking, she begins to add an acrylic tip to the nail she cut too short -- I said I did not want the tips, she had cut the nail too short, and it is what it is. When she started prepping the dip and gel base, I reiterated that I only wanted a dip manicure, not gel and no UV light. At this, the first gentleman and another tech who was sitting behind mine weighed in that they usually use gel top coat with a UV light to cure and finish dip manicures. While I may have allowed this in other circumstances, I insisted that I did not want to use the UV light (my nail beds were already sore from the technician's filing) -- the technicians all started speaking in another language and confirmed with me in English that they would use a regular clear top coat. When the technician (sloppily) finishes the dip, she stands up and lets the technician behind her replace her. He explains that he will finish for her as she moves to another customer's pedicure. This second technician confirms that I do not want the UV light before he cleans up the color; he engages in some small talk, asking about the holiday and volunteering details about his. He offers to add tips to "fix" the short nail, which I declined again. When he finishes, the color is decent but does not extend over the full nail on all the nails. When he puts on the top coat, he says I should let it dry for 10-15 minutes and that he would be back. While I'm waiting for the top coat to dry, another customer gets up from his foot soak and says he has to leave as it was getting late (I'd been in 90 minutes myself). After he's left, the technician comes back to check my nails, turns off the fan and says I'm done but "be careful" since it was not finished with the gel top coat. I ask if I can have cuticle oil, which he agrees to. There's an added fee to use credit, and an ATM in the corner, so I pay cash and leave a 15% tip (they charged me $45, even though it was unclear if that's the standard cost for a dip manicure or included a fee for polish change or cuticle oil or what, since their website says dip manicures were $40, while gel manicures are $30). I can't speak to the quality or longevity of the color, and I don't doubt the other positive / 5-star reviews. Just wanted to give others perspective if they're trying to decide between one place or the other. read more

During my weekend in Palm Springs I was looking for a pedicure and stumbled on this business. The service was great and they immediately made sure I was taken care of when I walked in. Both the service and price point was what I was looking for including a callus removal service I added. Also loved how they had massage chairs to use during the pedicure. The best price for combo mani&pedi is only $40 include trim nails, cut cuticles, color and massage by hand at least 5 minutes for pedi and a few minute for mani. It is so fantastic. But it will be better if the technician not moving both of sides of customers too much while doing their nails. They feel more comfortable if you guy can use the pillow for holding their arms. Called for a same-day appointment, and they managed to squeeze me in for a manicure and pedicure. This was my first time visiting this nail salon, and overall I had a great experience. And with the tropical package, my services came with a massage, scrub, and paraffin wax - all of which were very relaxing! Very happy with Happy Nails. Called to see if my wife and I could get pedicures and they had openings, so off we went. Very clean space with comfortable massage chairs. Plenty of parking in the back of the building too, which was a plus. We had excellent pedis and the price is very reasonable. The techs were great and we enjoyed the experience. I made an appointment for 4:00 PM. The minute I walked in I could see the place was swamped and they were not going to be able to get me in by 4 but I asked anyway. They asked me to sit and wait. Which I did. Then they brought me to a chair to soak. There were 5 other clients there and none of them look remotely close to being finished but no one from the shop said a word. Finally after waiting for more than 30 minutes past my appointment time, I got up and left. Terrible customer service and zero communication skills. With so many options I would avoid this place. read more

As for my experience, my massage therapist did not speak English which made communicating my needs very difficult. She also did not seemed properly trained. She didn't use any type of technique other than rolling her forearm up and down my back and squeezing my shoulders and neck. When she moved to my lower body she barely used lotion and was pretty much rubbing my skin dry. She only rubbed from the knees down and she never massaged my upper legs. She then massaged my feet and went back to rubbing my upper body including my face! She put a blob of lotion on my face and started to rub it in at which point I told her to stop. She didn't understand me and I kept saying that I don't want her to touch my face and just rub my arms and neck instead. Why would I want you to touch my face after you just rubbed my feet??? My friend was also getting her massage in the same room and her massage therapist had to translate for me. He finally spoke to her and told her to stop. My friends also had bad experiences. One massage therapist was on the phone texting and taking calls during the massage. She was using one hand at times because she was holding her phone. The rest of the massage sucked. She squeezed the hell out of my shoulders and I kept asking her to go lighter but of course she didn't understand me. Now onto the premises. It's hot as hell in there as it's an old building. They have oscillating fans to keep cool. The walls don't go all the way to ceiling and you can literally hear the people as if they are in the same room. They have one small bathroom which had buckets in the sink collecting dirty water. They didn't have paper towels for drying your hands, instead they had a regular cloth towel for everyone to use. Gross! I try not to judge a book by its cover but this hole in the wall is literally that. I had hoped that the excellent reviews regarding customers' experiences would make up for the less than stellar appearance but unfortunately that's not the case. You get what you see. Unfortunately I did not get what I paid for, as it's a crime to charge as much as they do for a horrible massage. The massage chair where I get my pedicure gives better massages.

We were never informed of these additional charges beforehand. Had I known, I honestly would have declined or gone elsewhere. On top of that, the technician forgot to apply a top coat on one of my friend's toes, which shows a lack of attention to detail -- especially considering the high cost. Overall, the biggest issue for me was the lack of communication and transparency about pricing, combined with service that did not match the premium price point. Customers should be clearly informed of add-on costs before services begin.

DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE BUSINESS!!!!!! truly a…read moreNIGHTMARE experience. i don't even know where to start. the owner is a rude and aggressive man who literally yelled at me and my nail tech had to step in between us cause i was nottttttt about to let this man charge me a full pedicure when the (very nice) woman who was doing my pedicure had no idea what she was doing bc she pumiced my foot with no lather/water/oil NOTHING!!!!! she also dipped her dirty tools into ny DIRTY foot water so i immediately told her i didn't want to continue. the nail salon owner pushes her out of the way and grabs my foot as if to do it himself but at this point im like actually upset. i didn't get the nails i wanted because their "best" tech who is very lovely indeed has little experience and is running around doing whatever the boss doesn't want to do. i was so upset that they charged me full price that i came back the next day and asked for a new design on my nails on the condition that i will not be paying for it since i was charged $127 ish for my nails and NON pedicure. the owner got in my face, YELLED at the employee, and tried to shove a fake cosmetology license in my face when i called out the lack of ethics and cleanliness in their facility. the owner got in my face to the point where we were yelling at each other, he was yelling at the nail tech, and she had to step in between us. he also took my nail techs tip that i gave her OUT OF HER HAND. i am disgusted by this establishment's work ethic and honestly, their prices. to get your nails CUT, nothing else, is $14. huh??????? that is asinine and actually fraud. anyways, i reported them to the state cosmo board. (also my nail beds are destroyed and im rlly sad bc ive been taking care of them so i could get gel x on my natural nails)

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by everyone (customers too!). Most of the time that I have gone, there's only Debra (the owner/manicurist) and Susan (my manicurist/love her!). I have been in there a couple times when one of the hair stylist are there as well, but I heard they are there by appt only. The salon is decorated cute and kept immaculately clean which is even more important now than ever! They even have fresh baked cookies that Debra's husband Dan bakes everyday! My guilty pleasure when I go. So back to my review of the salon (I was momentarily lost in my dreams of cookies, lol). Both Susan and Debra flew to Washington (state, not DC), for a week of intense training and certification for medical grade pedicures. I have yet to get one but have been there when numerous clients were thrilled with there's. Its definitely on my list and I will post a new review once I've personally tried it. Overall I strongly recommend giving this salon a try. They do get busy, so making an appointment or calling ahead is suggested. There hours have just changed and they now are open Sundays (Wednesday through Sunday).

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience at Happy Nails and won't be returning. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming. No one really greeted me or made me feel like they were happy to have me there. The overall vibe was awkward from the start. The most uncomfortable part of my visit happened while I was getting my nails done. The gentleman working on my nails had told me he was available to take me, so I assumed everything was fine. A little while later, I realized there was another customer waiting for him to do her nails, and she was clearly upset that he was working on me instead. I had no idea there had been any confusion, but it created an uncomfortable situation. I felt awkward the entire time because it seemed like I was caught in the middle of a scheduling issue that wasn't my fault. To make matters worse, I wasn't even happy with how my nails turned out. They weren't what I had hoped for, but after the uncomfortable experience, I honestly just wanted to leave and didn't feel comfortable saying anything. Overall, between the unfriendly atmosphere, the awkward interaction between staff and customers, and leaving unhappy with my nails, this was not a pleasant experience. There are so many nail salons that make you feel welcome and valued, and unfortunately, this wasn't one of them. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend it to others. read more

A very good job on my difficult nails. The pedicure was meticulously performed. Calluses were removed, quite a pile removed. My manicure is a difficult job as a finger is partially amputated. She spent alot of time to get it right. I called ahead and they said come in in an hour, which I did. Boy this place was packed! When I left it was empty as a few walkins started to arrive. The prices are very low compared to what I normally pay. I'll be returning for sure. read more
