I always love stopping by On The Thirty to hangout/dine when in the area! It's right on Ventura with a nice outdoor patio space, so it's great for a bit of people watching (or perhaps more like car watching at times)! They're usually playing sports on the tv's inside when we go, but we usually just chill on the outdoor space. Service has always been super friendly and good about making sure you're taken care of and giving you refills/anything else you may need. For the food - last time I went, I got one of the salads (trying to be a little bit healthier haha)! It was HUGE, super fresh, and packed FULL of flavor from all the delicious toppings. The perfect mix of textures with some crunchiness. There's plenty of other menu items as well - we've had items like the burgers, brick oven pizzas, and ceviche in the past. All are very generously portioned, packed with high quality ingredients, and super tasty/satisfying to enjoy! Oh yeah, and if you drink...the cocktails here are tasty and STRONG! I had one and was feeling QUITE tipsy!! On The Thirty is one of my top picks in this part of the valley, and I highly recommend if looking for a spot to hang/dine at in the area!

Huge kudos to On The Thirty for effectively changing with the times. This stylish gastropub opened at the height of the good days in Hollywood, offering an upscale casual bar scene and bites that were always tasty but also, admittedly, pricier than they deserved to be. Flash forward, with so many having trouble making ends meet, this neighborhood mainstay has figured out how to stay open, stay stylish, and stay relevant to people with far less cash in their pockets. The sleek decor remains just so, totally well-maintained and comfortable. But the menu's been cleverly tweaked, offering less fancy small bites than before at lower prices. A good example: they previously offered a fairly extensive selection of cheeses and charcuterie, allowing you to choose your own combination, all of which required them to keep a host of high-end products ready, waiting and fresh. Now, they offer a curated plate of cheeses and charcuterie that provides much the same experience at a fraction of the cost. The rest of the menu dances between a good selection of shareables (offered in small or large sizes) and a nice choice of larger bites (burgers, sandwiches, pastas, salads, pizzas, etc.). The result is a wide variety of options large and small, all at affordable prices. The drinks are equally reasonable. I started with the Firecracker Shrimp: batter dipped, shell-on prawns that are flash-fried and tossed in a somewhat spicy but mostly sweet Asian marinade. The shrimp were, ironically, pretty large and quite tasty. Had they been served with rice, the dish would have filled me up -- but the shrimp were presented nicely atop shredded cabbage, and so I was left a little peckish. That's why I ordered a small portion of Bacon-wrapped dates, stuffed with cheese. 4 skewers arrived, with plump dates, crispy, flavorful bacon, and warm, softened cheese. My only complaint was that the honey drizzled atop made the dish a tad too sweet -- perhaps a Hot Honey would be a more effective final flourish. But when all was said and done, On The Thirty delivered a satisfying, tasty, light dinner in a relaxing, casually upscale environment at a reasonable price. I hope folks in the neighborhood take notice of their transition and continue to support them well.

Came on a Saturday to watch some college football games. We were able to be seated right away. We had the thirty pizza and the poutine. The poutine looks like it has changed from previous pictures are it wasn't cheese curds but melted cheese. Both items were still good regardless. The manager seemed to be helping us more than our server. They have a large draft list and food menu.

We found out about this place around month and a half ago and then came back already 5 times. They have tasty food, different types from veggies to meat. They r serving ribs on weekends and that's so scrumptious We weren't so excited about taste of pizza , but to each their own. All are polite and friendly. So cool bar for evenings, good enough for dining.

Came here on a Sunday with no reservation and sat at bar. This is the ultimate sports bar. 4 different channels playing on the tv so you're not missing a single game. Hostess are nice. They have hooks for your purse at the bar. They give a nice sized ice cream scoop with the deep fried Red velvet OREOS. Top tier! White truffle fries in my opinion was light on the white truffle but it's okay. Cesar salad was a beautiful presentation in a slanted bowl. This was about $40 Street parking is free sundays but if you park behind Dave's chicken they have a validated parking lot

It's been a while since we were last here for a meal. Prior it was drinks but at the bar. Popped ok for a little bite which happened to also be happy hour. They do offer a wide array of small plates, entrees pizzas and so on. But we went for the happy hour items which they did offer a few items for a small fraction of the price. Cocktails and drinks as well. Food wise, had the truffle fries, bacon wrapped dates, firecrackers shrimp, meatballs, and a pizza. All was excellent. Happy hour prices included any of the pizza in the menu. The dates were excellent as well as the meatballs which were huge. Served with toasted bread. Service was excellent, from everyone that worked there. They all worked together, serving and checking up on you. Food was great, drinks were nice and service was excellent. Will definitely be back again for a meal or just drinks.

A restaurant, a wine and beverage bar and an experience located in the heart of Sherman Oaks. Ocado can be found on Venture Blvd between Van Nuys Blvd and Cedros Ave. Street parking is ideal (metered) though there are several lots in the area. And while things have changed hands, the atmosphere, energy and vibrance remains the same if not even more so, bring it's fusion of culture as well as flavors to any and all. Open from 11:30AM til 9PM daily with brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11:30AM to 2:30PM. Reservations are back on, but walk-ins won't have to fret much especially for lunch and the earlier part of the day. The menu is massive now with so many options including including my new favorite, their Asian Chickun Salad, Breakfast Crunchwrap, Chorizo Chilaquiles Verde, Popcorn Chickun, Jalapeño Poppers My friend Mike is obsessed with their German Pretzel. His husband Derrick loves the Mac & 3 Cheese. My partner has been impressed with the Burgers, Wraps and Sandwiches. And most recently our friend Kevin became an instant fan of the Fettuccine Alfredo. 100% plant-based goodness you'll definitely be intrigued and desiring more of. Lots of gluten-free options as well. Ironically enough between my other half, friends and fam who are not vegan or vegetarian this place is a super favorite. And the ones who are veg like myself super love it. Enjoy all sorts of occasions here including birthdays, anniversaries and celebrations. They do offer catering services as well as delivery via third party apps. Great happy hour specials from 3pm to 6pm. Gender neutral restrooms. Free Wi-Fi. Kid friendly menu. Decadent desserts. Including a new menu item, Gooey Center Classic Cinnamon Roll. Good beverage options including wine, coffee, beer, juice, tea, soda, lemonade, etc. Pet friendly patio in front with fans as well as heat laps for the cooler months. Oh O'CADO, what a wonderful discovery you were, thanks to my friend Liz on Yelp!…read more As a carnivore, I LOVE all kinds of meats and proteins! With that being said, I am also open to trying new things whenever I can, and occasionally I like to try vegan/vegetarian restaurants. O'CADO was absolutely FANTASTIC! I can't say it enough: FRESH, FRESH, FRESH! Every single item we got (and we got quite a few) was so fresh, scrumptious, delicious, flavorful, and TASTY! Honestly, everything was prepared so well that if I didn't know I wasn't eating real meat, I couldn't tell the difference. THAT'S how good this place is. The portion sizes are also pretty big and appropriate for the price. We actually took advantage of their Happy Hour Menu so we could sample more things. We walked in with my son yesterday, 9/2, around 3:30pm after parking at a nearby meter since there's no parking. As we walked in, we were greeted by Jose and his kind smile/friendly vibe. He got us situated at one of their patio tables and gave us some time to look at the menu. Once we got our thoughts together, he took our order and checked on us at least three times. Will, later came to take away the dirty dishes, glasses, utensils and napkins. He was also very helpful with a nice smile. We had water for the table but I decided to try their Sangria, which was very good. My son tried the Strawberry Margarita and said it was delicious. For appetizers, we got the Balsamic Brussels Sprouts, Avocado Toast, and Buffalo Cauliflower. Every single item was just OUTSTANDING! The Brussels sprouts were nicely charred but not overcooked. The balsamic brought a nice sweetness to them. The cauliflower was fried to perfection and stayed crispy through the whole meal. The avocado toast was also great and had a nice contrast of textures on it. Great start to the meal! For entrées, we got the Carne Asada Tacos (side order of House Slaw), Grilled "Chicken" Caesar Wrap (side order of Chili Cheese Fries) and the Thai Peanut Crunch Bowl. Again, every item was beyond delicious and FRESH. We kept saying "wow" with every bite because we were enjoying it that much! We also couldn't believe how much it tasted like real meat in the tacos. So juicy, flavorful, and again...FRESH! They had a few dessert options, but we were too full. The place was spotless clean and had a few other people dining there. They also do to-go orders and third party apps. One gender neutral bathroom, which we didn't need to use. I highly recommend trying this place, especially if you are a skeptical meat-eater. You should give it a chance and allow your palate/taste buds to explore. You might be surprised by how much you like it. Thank you Jose for great service and the O'CADO team for such a lovely lunch! 20/10!!

These days, that the price of an entree. We shared our appetizers: my friend had the individual portion of the uptown mac and cheese and I had the grilled mushroom. The mac and cheese is to die for! So creamy and very rich, with aged cheddar and gruyere cheeses, pieces of chicken, peas, and asparagus sprinkled throughout. A definite diet buster, but worth it! The grilled mushroom was no slouch either. Consisting of oyster and king trumpet mushrooms, the dish had a nice "meaty" taste, ironic since it's a vegetarian dish that is cooked in a plant based butter. You don't miss the lack of meat at all. For entrees, my friend got the poke bowl, which I did not tasted so can't attest to it, but my friend said it was good. I had the spicy pasta, which was amazing. The campanelle pasta was cooked perfectly, holding the savory, slightly spicy corn-based cream sauce in all its luscious folds. Along with roasted poblano peppers, sautéed mushrooms, marinated artichokes, and tomatoes, the ingredients all worked so well together to make a truly yummy dish. We also shared our desserts: My friend got a scoop of the vanilla fleu de sal ice cream while I opted for a scoop of the dark chocolate. Both were good, but I liked the dark chocolate as it had actual pieces of dark chocolate. Our server Kayla was amazing. So friendly and on it! She constantly checked in on us, and made sure our drink glasses were never empty. There's music that's lively without being overbearing, and the staff is uniformly friendly. But... You have to order at the bar and, though they have runners to bring your food, you do have to hunt them down for anything after the delivery (extra ketchup, etc). While this isn't my favorite system at my age, to be fair, whatever the owners are saving on staff is reflected in the prices, which are absolutely below most places in the area for food that is good-quality and drinks that are generously poured. So yes, my wife's Espresso Martini was served in a deep-bellied Belgium beer glass, and my whiskey neat was a hefty pour. Yay!! For food, I ordered the Smash Burger, which is served with melted American, grilled onions and the house version of Russian dressing (as well as pickles, which I deleted). The burgers had a nice, smashed crust while remaining juicy, the cheese was properly melted, and the grilled onions had a terrific caramelized sweetness, while the house sauce was very well-balanced: ketchupy and creamy without being too mayonnaise-heavy. A very good smasher. My wife ordered the Big Texan Burger because she wanted cheddar and frizzled onions and BBQ sauce, though she deleted the bacon and pork belly that are normally included. This, too, was a very good burger: cooked to a proper and pleasing medium-rare and well-seasoned, with a good, fresh flavor to the beef. The onion rings were less successful, which are of the beer batter type, but seemed to be a commercial, frozen product. The coating was browned but not crisp, and the flavor was relatively nondescript. We didn't really eat them, and wouldn't order them again. And so, to me, The Tipsy Cow is a bit of a mixed bag: reasonably priced decent food and reasonably priced, generously-poured drinks -- but in a mostly self-serve environment that incrementally loses its appeal in relation to your age and your dining circumstances. Certainly worth a try, but you've gotta be in the right mood.
