I wish I had read my last review from 9 yrs ago before revisiting this place today. Let me tell you about the good things first... this won't take long. Kelley, our server, was a sweetheart. And the glass of wine was a nice pour and a decent wine. I like that they let you in for something to drink before officially opening for the day. Cue record scratch... now about that food. No, we did not order the wrong thing and no, IMO, they were not just having a bad day. Look at these Huevos Rancheros with "house hash, tostadas and 3 eggs"... those are chips (I think from a bag of tortilla chips) so not really a tostada, no way there were three eggs in that thing (from what I could see)... not sure what the "house hash" is but nothing I could identify on the plate. I know a lot of people might leave a restaurant and say "I could have made that at home" but there is no way I would make something this crappy at home. LOOK at this Avocado Toast with "avocado spread"... that is some thin smear of something green but when you are calling something "Avocado Toast" there should be a substantial amount of the hero ingredient (and maybe not call it "avocado spread" on your menu description. To me, that says, "Look we don't want to call this a "rustic mash of avocado" or "Hass smash" or "hand-crushed ripe avocado" because we know you are actually going to SEE it in front of you in about 15 minutes and "avocado spread" won't lead to a major disappointment." But it did. And this slab of dry plywood that they were calling toast. I turned to my wife and in my best Sebastian Manascalco said, "Why would you do that??" This place mostly failed on food. The food at the other tables looked equally pathetic. Gotta say... all of the cooked egg components of each dish were decent but the rest of the items were like WTF? Ambiance? It's OK... I mean it was a bar with a ton of TVs going. Semi-nice vibe for a sports bar... lots of room. Just can't get over the food. We ate about half of our sodium bombs and left. We ordered so much food and only ate the french fries cause the food tasted disgusting. The Service was absolutely horrific and complete trash... we had to go and flag down the waitress every 20- 30 minutes even when we had a private room in the back ... that we paid $1500 for! The owner was absolutely treacherous, and you might as well call her Cruella Deville She was insanely rude to me and my guests and called my buddy a Greedy Bitch myself when he simply asked if they could switch the channel on this TV... ‍ Soda was completely flat and beer was completely flat as well too and they never replaced it and still charged for it I highly recommend never going to this place unless you wanna have a horrible experience 0 out of 10 !!!! I always love stopping by On The Thirty to hangout/dine when in the area! It's right on Ventura with a nice outdoor patio space, so it's great for a bit of people watching (or perhaps more like car watching at times)! They're usually playing sports on the tv's inside when we go, but we usually just chill on the outdoor space. Service has always been super friendly and good about making sure you're taken care of and giving you refills/anything else you may need. For the food - last time I went, I got one of the salads (trying to be a little bit healthier haha)! It was HUGE, super fresh, and packed FULL of flavor from all the delicious toppings. The perfect mix of textures with some crunchiness. There's plenty of other menu items as well - we've had items like the burgers, brick oven pizzas, and ceviche in the past. All are very generously portioned, packed with high quality ingredients, and super tasty/satisfying to enjoy! Oh yeah, and if you drink...the cocktails here are tasty and STRONG! Huge kudos to On The Thirty for effectively changing with the times. This stylish gastropub opened at the height of the good days in Hollywood, offering an upscale casual bar scene and bites that were always tasty but also, admittedly, pricier than they deserved to be. Flash forward, with so many having trouble making ends meet, this neighborhood mainstay has figured out how to stay open, stay stylish, and stay relevant to people with far less cash in their pockets. The sleek decor remains just so, totally well-maintained and comfortable. But the menu's been cleverly tweaked, offering less fancy small bites than before at lower prices. A good example: they previously offered a fairly extensive selection of cheeses and charcuterie, allowing you to choose your own combination, all of which required them to keep a host of high-end products ready, waiting and fresh. Now, they offer a curated plate of cheeses and charcuterie that provides much the same experience at a fraction of the cost. The rest of the menu dances between a good selection of shareables (offered in small or large sizes) and a nice choice of larger bites (burgers, sandwiches, pastas, salads, pizzas, etc.). The result is a wide variety of options large and small, all at affordable prices. The drinks are equally reasonable. I started with the Firecracker Shrimp: batter dipped, shell-on prawns that are flash-fried and tossed in a somewhat spicy but mostly sweet Asian marinade. The shrimp were, ironically, pretty large and quite tasty. Had they been served with rice, the dish would have filled me up -- but the shrimp were presented nicely atop shredded cabbage, and so I was left a little peckish. That's why I ordered a small portion of Bacon-wrapped dates, stuffed with cheese. 4 skewers arrived, with plump dates, crispy, flavorful bacon, and warm, softened cheese. My only complaint was that the honey drizzled atop made the dish a tad too sweet -- perhaps a Hot Honey would be a more effective final flourish. But when all was said and done, On The Thirty delivered a satisfying, tasty, light dinner in a relaxing, casually upscale environment at a reasonable price. This review is for cocktails only. A group of us stopped in for cocktails pre dinner at Anajak and had a nice time with our server Kayla. The bar was full, but Kayla didn't mind that we took a table, even though we told her we weren't ordering food. The groups of us ordered a Botanist Gin and Tonic ($15), the Eldorado Delight ($17), a Spicy Watermelon sub Mezcal ($17) and a Classics Old Fashioned ($17). My husband and I have always enjoyed the food here. It's one of our usual neighborhood spots. We love being able to walk there from our house. Unfortunately, this morning's brunch was disappointing. I had the Elevated Avocado Toast (description on menu: Our dough with house seasoned avocado spread caprese: topped with diced tomatoes and mozzarella pearls). There was nothing elevated about this toast. It was a basic bread slightly toasted, barely enough avocado spread to cover each piece of toast. Plus, the avocado spread tastes premade from a bag, not fresh. There were more onions than tomatoes. The "mozzarella pearls" was regular mozzarella that was chopped up. I added eggs on top, sunny side up, they were cold. My husband had the Three Eggs Any Style (description: Served with 2 strips of bacon and homestyle fried potatoes with onions). He was given the wrong potatoes. The kitchen gave him papa freitas instead. The pancakes were decent. Our waitress was lovely as usual. We somehow always get the same waitress when we go. I hope they can use this as a learning opportunity for the future. We will be sticking to their dinner menu for now on. read more

Came on a Saturday to watch some college football games. We were able to be seated right away. We had the thirty pizza and the poutine. The poutine looks like it has changed from previous pictures are it wasn't cheese curds but melted cheese. Both items were still good regardless. Came here on a Sunday with no reservation and sat at bar. This is the ultimate sports bar. 4 different channels playing on the tv so you're not missing a single game. Hostess are nice. They have hooks for your purse at the bar. They give a nice sized ice cream scoop with the deep fried Red velvet OREOS. Top tier! It's been a while since we were last here for a meal. Prior it was drinks but at the bar. Popped ok for a little bite which happened to also be happy hour. They do offer a wide array of small plates, entrees pizzas and so on. But we went for the happy hour items which they did offer a few items for a small fraction of the price. Cocktails and drinks as well. Food wise, had the truffle fries, bacon wrapped dates, firecrackers shrimp, meatballs, and a pizza. All was excellent. Happy hour prices included any of the pizza in the menu. The dates were excellent as well as the meatballs which were huge. Served with toasted bread. Service was excellent, from everyone that worked there. They all worked together, serving and checking up on you. Food was great, drinks were nice and service was excellent. I cant speak to the dishes that they ordered because I am a vegetarian, but I ordered the caprese avocado toast and it actually was made very well. I had added egg whites but shouldn't have since it was a massive portion on top of my toast. Took off about half the amount. We also had the deep fried oreos with red velvet filling. It's like the servers don't pay attention to the patio because the inside is not busy. The rest of the outside patio/surrounding tables are also complaining. This is a great sports bar but with restaurant dining feel. I have been here many times and they don't dissapoint. The staff is welcoming and know their menu! So ask away if you have questions or need suggestions. There are at minimum, 5 monitors to watch the games. They have indoor and outdoor/patio seating. The restrooms are clean (much appreciated)! You won't have trouble selecting something to eat. They have plenty to choose from. Everything is delicious. You get healthy portions. Getting there, you have street metered parking or there's a lot in back on Cedros. They will validate for 2 hours. As usual, "Will I return?" Well, I gave it away already, LOL. Amazing experience from start to finish. The service truly went above and beyond. The manager ended up being our server and made sure everything was perfect, explaining the menu, sharing recommendations, and encouraging us to try certain food and drinks because he was genuinely proud of what they offer. It honestly felt like being taken care of by a friend. The entire staff was kind, patient, and welcoming. The food was unreal, every dish was packed with flavor, beautifully prepared, and not a single item disappointed. Choosing what to order was the hardest part because everything sounded incredible. If you go, you have to try the bacon-wrapped dates, they were a total standout. The location is easy to find and parking wasn't an issue at all. Came here for brunch & mimosas with some friends on a Saturday late morning. They didn't have any tables in the main room so they seated us in the back room and let us choose the music that they played! It was honestly so fun & we had the room to ourselves for a bit before other tables got seated there too. They have 3 mimosa options: regular glass, large glass, and bottomless. I did a large glass and it was a full wine glass so very worth it. I got the huevos rancheros & they were good, but nothing special. I honestly wish I got the smoked salmon benny. Came at 11 on Saturday for brunch. It was super quiet no music. Service was so slow for there being like 5 other tables taken. It was just bad vibes. Server didn't look like she gave a fk. Forgot the ice coffee and proceeded to lie about it not being ready yet which is the biggest joke. It's just black coffee on ice lol. Anyway food is suppppppper basic nothing exciting at all. This is our favorite place. We live near by and walk to it very often, for a while now wait staff are great. There is only ONE HUGE COMPLAINT I have and is about the manager/owner. We came for brunch today and in all the time we have been customers we never seen this person before and was hostessing. She was rude and so obnoxious we almost left but we were hungry. This place truly hit the spot. We came to celebrate my sisters birthday. We sat on the patio and our pup joined us. The hostess was so sweet and brought the pup some water. The food was awesome. The Bacon Wrapped Dates were very tasty, but I have to say I enjoyed the Chicken Wonton Tacos more. I had the Seared Ahi Tuna salad and it literally has the biggest piece of Tuna. I would give this place more of a 3.5. While I would go back to try something else on the menu I didn't fully enjoy what I ate. I ordered the truffle fries, Brussel sprouts and Kobe meatballs. The truffle fries were decent but I've had better so I didn't love them but they were nice and crispy. Firecracker shrimp was pretty good. The Brussel sprouts were cooked well but the taste was inconsistent. Supposed to be balsamic flavor but it was really drizzled on top. The bartender and host were very nice and the music playing was great. Great place to watch sports, plenty of TVs and random but the bathroom smelled great. There's a patio for outdoor seating so you can also bring your pup. TVs and a bar inside for whatever sports are on. You must to start with the bacon wrapped dates. I haven't eaten pork in months but I hate that I can't resist these. They're the best item on the menu. The Seared Ahi Tuna salad is one of my favorite and most filling salads. The tuna is very fresh and plentiful while the rest of the salad was very well flavored and put together. I couldn't even finish it! The bolognese is a very hearty one and super flavorful. The linguine is perfectly cooked and the meats go together flawlessly. Fyi - they now include an 18% tip with your bill. read more

This place was great! We came in looking for an establishment that had delicious food and drinks and we were grateful to have chosen this spot. I ordered the beef slider medley, which consisted of three grass fed kobe sliders: chipotle cheddar, fire and fig & smoked bacon, and the Thirty OG. They were all so good! In addition to that hearty meal, I had a glass of A Whole Lotta Pina Colada, which had denizen aged white rum, pineapple juice, and pineapple puree. I briefly traveled to an island after taking a few sips. This place had cool ambience and it was pretty lively considering that there were a bunch of games on the TVs.
