I had such a great experience with Vivian! She was very communicative throughout the entire process and made sure I knew what was going on with my hair. As soon as I arrived, she immediately got started and even had two other ladies helping her, which made the whole process so quick and efficient. Usually, my hair takes about 4 hours for the bleach to process, but this time it only took about an hour! I was honestly so impressed with how quickly everything was done. I wanted to have a positive experience because all of the videos I saw (self posted by the shop on TikTok) looked like great work. Going off of only those videos and pictures was my mistake. I was looking for a new stylist simply because of the distance of my previous stylist and scheduling being really hard around my super impacted schedule. Distance plus scheduling difficulties was making it impossible. I went in for a root touch-up to cover my grays and to have my existing face-framing highlights toned. They got brassier than I like. I explained exactly that when I called to make the appointment. I spoke to the person who actually did my hair and she quoted me about $60-$70. I walked out paying $250... like, what!? Instead of getting what I what I asked for, I left with very uneven color. My face-framing highlights were moved up and re-bleached, and the result is extremely patchy and inconsistent. When I got to the salon she said she couldn't tone the face framing and just needed to redo it all. Some areas are very light blonde, others are darker, some are yellow, some even look greenish, and there are visible lines and uneven sections throughout the front of my hair. My root touch-up was also unsuccessful. Instead of covering my grays, many of the gray hairs turned a golden/brassy color and remained visibly different from the rest of my hair. I contacted the stylist four days after my appointment to explain the results. By the way, I did point it out while I was there and she brushed me off. I waited four days because I was having anxiety about even contacting her. What disappointed me even more was that she did not immediately take responsibility for the results. Regarding the highlights, she initially tried to place some of the blame on me. Regarding the roots, she suggested that I was seeing gray because my hair had already grown out. Four days is obviously not enough time for a freshly completed root touch-up to grow out to the extent shown in my photos. She ultimately offer to correct my hair, which I appreciated and was willing to give her the opportunity to do. Unfortunately, the correction appointment wasn't available for another 4 days. Then the day of my correction appointment she called to say she was very busy with existing clients and needed to move me to the next day, leaving me walking around with hair that I am extremely uncomfortable with, at which point I didn't even want to go back to her anymore. I walked in with completely rehabed and healthy hair. My previous stylist (send me a message if you want her info, she's amazing) did an amazing job of getting my hair really healthy and keeping it that way. Now, my hair is a complete disaster and it will cost me hundreds of $ to do a color correction. Not to mention the journey to getting my hair healthy again will cost. The front of my hair is fried and stringy. I told the stylist I didn't want to rebleach because of the fear of exactly what happened, happening. She said her PROMISE to me was that I wouldn't walk out with damaged hair. I understand that mistakes happen, even with experienced professionals. What matters tremendously is how those mistakes are handled. Had my concerns been acknowledged from the beginning and the correction handled promptly, I would feel very differently about this experience. Instead, I was left feeling blamed for results I did not create, while continuing to wait for a correction to an appointment I already paid for. I am including photos because I think they are the fairest way for others to see the results for themselves. These photos were taken within 3 days of my appointment and show the uneven face-framing highlights. I didn't even remember to get a picture of the attempted root touch up. I also had a haircut done. Which I initially told her I didn't want. I had just had a haircutx She said my hair would look better if I did get a cut. Honestly, once I saw the color job when she took the towel off, I was so scared that I guess I was holding on to a tiny sliver of hope that maybe a haircut would make it look better (let's be real, I knew it wouldn't). In all fairness, the haircut is nice. Not fantastic or anything amazing. Just nice. The staff was also just okay. The person who did my hair, Vicky, was just fine. But I didn't like that she did not exclusively work on my hair. She had one women help her with one side of my head for the bleaching, another help with the toner, which she said she wasn't going to do, just a lot of hands all up on my hair, which I really think was part of the problem here at this salon (I understand this is typical for many salons, but HERE at this salon that clearly created part of the issue). I'm only giving 2 stars because the cut wasn't a total disaster like everything else and Vicky was quick to be accommodating for the initial appointment and get me in within about a week of me calling to make the appointment. read more

Most unprofessional place I have ever been to. First off, I bought a groupon and it said to call to make an appointment. So I called, and the person who picked up didn't even say she was from the salon when she picked up, she just said "hello?" So i made an appointment and told her I had a groupon. So I made an appointment for a date in the future and right after, she just hung up, no goodbye, no see you later, nothing. Disappointing experience at this hair salon. Came in for a perm treatment, but the stylist was clearly overbooked and trying to juggle too many appointments at once. The chemical solution was left on for over 90 minutes, which is far too long and risks serious skin damage. Even after asking for updates multiple times, there was no clear communication or sense of urgency. The entire appointment felt rushed yet poorly managed. This kind of unprofessional service, lack of attention, and disregard for proper hair care is unacceptable. If you're considering a perm or chemical service, I'd recommend going to a salon that prioritizes client safety and customer service. Also, accused saying the area was scratched, when it was not. Worst salon experience of my life -- DO NOT GO HERE. I specifically asked for individual lashes and was given clusters instead. The stylist lied to my face about the service from the start. When I confronted her and said I would take it further, she immediately threatened me, saying she would "use my pictures" and that she could do a lot with them. She never fixed the service. She only removed lashes from one side and left the other side looking exactly the same. Then she handed me a scrap of paper as a receipt. They also lied about the prices -- there is no fixed pricing at all. When I kept asking for a proper fix, they called the police on me even though they were completely in the wrong. They treated me worse than a dog. They smile only long enough to take your money, then show zero accountability. No intake form, no professionalism, nothing. These people don't care about customers or results -- they only care about money. I've been to cosmetology school and have seen many professional lash artists who treat clients with respect. This place is the complete opposite. It was traumatic, disturbing, and the worst beauty experience I've ever had. Save your money and your dignity -- go anywhere else. I Feel bad giving them a bad review because they always give me a 5 star pedicure and manicure but when it came to my hair I was definitely frustrated with the results definitely don't waste your time or money here. What I asked for is not what I got and I was charged $350, uneven bleaching, so so sad. After they shampooed my hair they only left the toner on for literally a minute and she rinsed right away. I came to happy salon today and omg vy is the best worker there. My hair was so uneven but she somehow made it through!

I went for a haircut, manicure and lashes. Everything was great my haircut and style look great my nails are nice (hard to mess up a manicure tho). My lashes tho very disappointed I asked for volume cat eye and my lashes are no where near volume. I could already tell the lashes aren't going to last because when I brush them out (even tho I'm really gentle handed with brushing) they're already popping off. Also the lashes aren't soft, they're tough and rough and hard to brush them without accidentally tugging them. Please don't go for lashes but haircuts are great. read more

I badly needed my greys touched up, so I googled salons nearby and saw that they offered a Groupon deal. I walked in, no wait, and they started dying my hair almost immediately after I sat in the chair. Rinsing was thorough. Very quick and efficient experience, which is what I was looking for. There was some confusion at the end with redeeming the Groupon, but we worked it out, and they said to just come in and discuss pricing next time. DON'T GO HERE FOR MEN'S HAIRCUTS. You might have better luck at a butcher. I asked for a low taper fade on the sides and very minimal off the top. Mind you, I even showed the lady a reference photo for the first 5 mins of the cut. What I got in return was a high taper fade pushed to the top of my dome, and a lot more off the top than I bargained for. My curls, gone. They thinned out my hair, which was not what I had asked for, nor was it what appeared to be the case in the reference photo I had. It looks like I am balding with how much hair they took off the top. Save yourself the time, take your hair and money elsewhere unless you get very low maintenance, easy haircuts. read more

I had the worst experience at Happy Salon. They should be called Crappy Salon! My daughter & I went to get our hair dyed & cut. The color I wanted, I was told by Vicky, " Oh no, that's for younger ladies, you're going to look 20 yrs. older. " The bleaching process, I guess, was left on too long because my scalp started to burn & itch. I told her, so she took me to where they wash your hair. They only put some water and then went back to the chair. But the lady that was helping Vicky started to brush on more of the bleaching stuff. By then, I couldn't handle the burning & itching. So, back to the sink, this time, they took off the foil and rinsed my hair. She told me to pick a color from her color samples, & let me tell you the end result was nothing like the color I chose! But before that, I showed her the hairstyle I wanted. Again, she knocked what I wanted. I wanted a shag, and I got whatever she wanted. My daughter's hair was not as bad, but it was.
