This place has the freshest produce, a plethora of options which the server will gladly prepare to your liking. Lunch specials are served with soup. Springrollls are always refreshing. My favorites are the chicken pho and curry soup. My co-workers had the kung pao chicken and lemongrass chicken and we did not reach for salt or pepper. The eggplant tofu was lacking flavor in my opinion. I wish it would have been a little more spicy and savory. The curry "chicken" and clay pot tofu with "fish" was very tasty. This is my 2nd time ordering take out from Happy Vege. The order was done on time. I tried the Pho because of the good reviews, but it was a little lacking. The broth was good, but the portions of the soy meat was little, the bean sprouts were not very fresh, and the pho noodle was very sticky. The other dish I ordered is the Chinese broccoli with soy chicken and it was very good. I also ordered the vege egg rolls, somehow they are not as good as last time and I couldn't differentiate the vege inside, it was just a mush. I will still come back to try other dishes, but maybe not order the pho or the egg rolls. read more

Overall, I enjoyed my first Happy Veggie experience. The first thing I noticed was just how friendly the staff is. Really enjoyed the efficient but friendly service. Secondly, When you check in on Yelp you also get free Green Tea. (It's not the loose leaf kind by the way.). Lastly, the food is very vegetarian. Vegetarian spots can be very hit or miss at times for me. So I tried to play it safe and I ended up ordering the Veggie Pho. I love Pho normally but this was just ok. I like strictly vegetable pho without the meat substitutions and I feel as though that is a little if what I got. They flavor the mushrooms in the pho with coconut butter and there is a meat substitutions such as fake beef meatballs, and egg like something or other in the dish. They also had tofu which I happen to love. In the end, I found it to be somewhere in the middle. Quoting a review I read previously, "This is a must try at least once kind of a place". I've dined in, ordered food for pick up and all times have been stellar. My favorite item of all time are the chick's drumsticks. We have been coming here as a family for 2 months now. Just came for lunch and they have remodeled over Christmas 2019. The place looks nicer now. The food is as delicious as it has always been. This place is my go to in the South Bay!! It's right by my house and with the limited vegan options in the South Bay, this place is a vegan goldmine. I find myself spontaneously stopping here for dinner a lot because I crave that wonton soup way more than I expect. This place is big on flavor and portions. Whether you want noodles, soup, or some protein and veggies over rice, this will be your spot too. This place is a palace of soy and tofu - soy/protein is what they use for all the protein elements of their dishes. Each dish uses it in a different form, in a different sauce. So don't think you'll be bored with all that tofu! If it's your first time, get the pho. It's their mainstay and that broth is so flavorful, packed with different forms of soy protein (don't miss out on those "meatballs"!!) and fresh veggies. Also start out with the casaval rolls. They're light, fresh, and the peanut sauce they come with is a great complement. The wonton soup is my personal favorite as it's a little lighter than the pho. I've also had their pad thai which is good but the soups are the highlight for me here. I do see other tables order their eggplant dish a lot so I definitely want to venture into that part of the menu on my next visits (and I know there will be many). The restaurant space is nothing fancy and it's on the small side, but that speaks to the attention and care they put into their food rather than bells and whistles on restaurant decor. Can I just say that Happy Veggie is my spot. It's delicious. So last week in a fit of apparent idiocy I decided to do a juice cleanse. Three days. On the third day I was on the verge of dying, mainly due to my lack of caffeine intake. In another fit of idiocy, I decided to work out. Dumb decision again on my part. After the work out I was light headed and not feeling close to good. So I decided to break the cleanse one night from finishing it. So I went to happy veggie. It was a great call. I got the veggie pho, and it was on point. The warm broth did wonders for my headache, and it was all plant based so their was nothing to heavy to throw me for a loop after my cleanse. I didn't really have a lot of the actual noodles, but that was fine. The veggies and broth were the star of the show. You do not miss the meat here, and everything they serve is flavorful and satisfying. We always get the pho, which comes packed with a ton of vegetables and various types of tofu.
