    Food truck / "bus"

Caught the food truck in Hawthorne, CA. Garlic noodles are very good. Mushroom bao is good. Gyoza was not impressive when you're geared to expect pork but wasn't too bad. Service is good, but if you're short the order window height can be imposing. Nice relaxed vibe with the truck colors

Garlic noodles with rice noodle (modified)

Got to try their food at an event that was held at the Arboretum in Arcadia. Since I have gluten intolerant, there was only 1 item that I could have which was their popular garlic noodle. They substituted the noodle with rice noodle. Even with rice noodle, it's not lacking any flavor. It was sooo good and don't skip the cilantro because I think it brings out the flavor and a great companion to the noodle. They're usually at Smorgasburg at the Row downtown LA on Sundays. Hopefully they're able to offer more items in their menu that are or able to be gluten free modified.

This was a food truck at a small festival I went to. I'm not a vegan, but given the limited food truck choices, I wanted to try something new. I actually enjoyed the food here. * Combo Bao - This came with a Fried Shroom Bao 4.5/5 and a Char Siu BBQ Bao 3.5/5. The Shroom one had oyster mushrooms deep fried in a light batter. It had a soft, airy texture and a delicious umami thanks to the spicy sauce it came with. The Char Siu bao had a more crunchy, substantial texture which I like, but its flavor fell short compared to the Shroom bao. It was a bit too sweet and too salty.

Tried the Man Eating Plant food truck for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! I had the shroom bao, and it was packed with flavor.... the mushrooms were perfectly cooked with crunchy batter covering on top, savory, and juicy with a nice umami punch. The bao itself was soft and fluffy, a great contrast to the filling.

This review is exclusively for the fried shroom bao because I just could not wait to eat the other item I bought (Sichuan Steamies) before reviewing. Those bao buns are legit the BEST bao buns I've EVER tried. Perioddd. They're a little pricey at $16 a pop (for two buns), but they're divine. You don't even remember that they're vegan while eating cthem because they're cooked so well. IF YOU'RE READING THIS, YOU MUST TRY THE BAO. TRUST ME!

First going to just straight up say, the Garlic Noods were amazing! It had so much flavor, love, and care to it. I'd have it again if I were still visiting LA. Came across their vending booth at Smorgasburg LA as we were deciding what to eat from the many vendors that were there. There were other booths that offered stir fry noodles, but this one caught our eye and it so happens, the guy boothing the place was also named Phil. He was a real bro and friendly guy, especially since we share the same name. Respect. There isn't really much more to say other than that. Noodles were cooked well. A good mixture of ingredients and as a whole, it had a nice umami flavor to it. A bit tough to eat in the to-go box that it was in, but we managed despite dropping one or two noodles. I'd eat it off the ground if I could!

$22 for a bowl of noodles at a music event, but it was incredibly worth! Got this bowl of noodles cuz my tiredass couldn't handle anymore alchy at CRSSD. Prolly one of the best food I've ever had from a this type of setting. The noodles were wonderfully chewy, with garlic chips and hella toppings, tender veggies. I was very happy eating this, each bite was like finding something new! About 1.25 servings for me. Maybe if there was some pickled veggies, it would help elevate this just a tiny bit, but man, this dish was already super bomb. will try to visit their lb location!

Plant based food truck making their way at your local festival, brewery and market. I was able to try out Maneatplant at a local festival called Puff con where I was hired to double Dutch with a few other ladies. Now I had the shroom boa. I love friend, spicy, sweet and savory so this was my jam. Fluffy bun, Crispy mushrooms, seasoned to perfection and topped with spicy savory chili oil. Definitely had that Taiwanese, Chinese and Japanese flavor fusion going. Now I hate lines and I'm sure it's not much they can do about that but continue working as fast as they can to pump the food out. But nice customer service, called me by name and delivered great tasting food. Highly recommend.

Fried shroom Bao -- tastes better than deep fried spicy chicken in a pork bun

I tried this food from one of their food trucks touring Love Long Beach Festival 2023 and I fell in love with their good. It makes it easy to become a vegetarian when food is so flavorful and delicious! I tried the Fried Shroom Bao and it was so flavorful and crispy. Tasted better than deep fried chicken and it was made out of mushroom. Their musubi tastes better than regular spam musubi. It was nice to see a food truck with such friendly representatives providing excellent service, having a great time at the festival in a very chill atmosphere. I wish them luck and hope they create brick-and-mortar locations so that I can make this part of my regular diet.

One of my favorite food trucks ever. I always look forward to seeing them at the OC Vegan Fest in Santa Ana. Them garlic noods are out of this world! I love that they put a ton of fried garlic and veggies in it. Make sure to ask for extra chili oil for extra spice and flavor. We got to also try their Lion's Mane last time, which was really good as well. It had big mushrooms with cucumber, garlic rice and this yummy ginger sauce. I'm not too sure if this is on their permanent menu but it is def worth a try too if you are able to get it! Be prepared to wait a hot minute to order/get your food since more than likely they're going to have a long line. ManEatingPlant always has a long line every time we go haha but I'm not surprised since their food is amazing.

Went to Trademark Brewery in Long Beach on a Monday and this food truck was there in the patio serving up some amazing vegan food! It's an order at the window, pick up and sit down with your beers process but fairly quick and efficient. We got the sichuan steamies, musubi and garlic noodles. Everything tasted great! The garlic noodles were great for sharing and so were the dumpings. The only negative is that I wish the musubi had more sauce, but then again I'm a sauce person and I always like extra especially for my musubi. Definitely a good food truck, even if you are not vegan/vegetarian.

    Garlic noodles goin crazy!

Big chunks of tuna and all the right flavors! This is located right by a storage place. There's ample parking. The staff inside were really nice and quick with bringing out my food. The spam musubi was really delicious and was about $4. They had a lot of desserts that I did want to try, but I was so full. The Mac salad was probably the best Mac salad I've ever had. I finished everything off with a bottle of lychee oolong tea. This was great because a lot of lychee teas are too sweet, but this one was the perfect amount of lychee to tea ratio that didn't make it too sweet. I wish I live in Cali because I would absolutely frequent this spot!

I don't think I've ever had Hawaiian food this good. We both ordered the mix plates so we could try a little bit of everything, and we added a side of poke, which ended up being the best decision because it sold out right after we ordered. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, the portions were generous, and every bite was amazing. The customer service made the experience even better. The guy who took our order was so friendly, and our waiter was attentive without being overbearing, always making sure we had everything we needed. I'll definitely be back, whether it's to dine in or grab takeout. Such a great experience!

What we ordered: I ordered the Flyin' Slider Trio with Chili Zing sauce. These were fantastic! The sauce was spicy but not overpowering. The cole slaw was tasty. The chicken was hanging off the sides of the bun. They give a very generous portion. I also got the corn poppers with lemon pepper seasoning. When the menu says corn "popperS," I thought I'd get more than one. The fact that they charged $4.00 for a half ear of corn is ridiculous. I was even madder because it was delicious! It was breaded and deep fried. The breading was great and ensured that the corn wasn't oily. If the serving was two, I would feel like I kind of got my money's worth, but not one. I'd never get that again. My husband got the 10-piece wings with half garlic parm and half lemon pepper. He said the wings were big and fried to perfection. He loved them. He also got fries. They were $4.00 for a pediatric serving size. Overall, the meal was very good. The main items were worth the price, but they really charge too much for the sides considering their size. I'd go back to support them, but please hold the sides...
