Very disappointed with our experience. We ordered three coffees and two desserts, but nothing came out together. The coffees were served at different times, and after we finally received all three, the desserts still hadn't arrived. After we got all 3 coffees, I politely asked about the desserts because I wasn't sure if they had been forgotten or if someone else had picked them up. Instead of simply checking, the employee responded rudely and said, "We're really busy." The frustrating part was that the desserts were already made and just sitting there--they simply hadn't been given to us. I completely understand that coffee shops get busy, and I don't mind waiting. What I do mind is being treated rudely for asking about an incomplete order. Good customer service is about communication and respect, especially when things are delayed. I was so happy to try the newest Haraz location in Charlotte because I'm a huge fan of the OG location in Plaza Midwood. This one is super new and I heard they had some kinks to work out. But I had a great experience here today. I ordered a simple green tea and a croissant. The tea was great and not too strong but very hot and I loved that. Some places serve hot drinks super lukewarm and I don't like that. Not here! I ordered a croissant and they brought me a chocolate croissant so I asked the server what happened and I guess they were out and I was a little confused and disappointed bc I didn't want a sweet croissant. So there was a bit of a miscommunication there but she was very kind and offered to refund me, but I kept it. No biggie really. It was good, just not what I wanted so I didn't finish it. Also, a server was walking around giving out free biscoff cheesecake slices and I thought that was super cool!!! I got one and it was delicious!! The shop is super cute and is located where a plant shop used to be. It's cool to see how they repurposed the space. I love Haraz so I'd come back if I'm ever on this side of town. read more

I tried something new today, the salted caramel latte (iced) and it was DELISH!!! Also another new item I tired was the pistachio cheesecake...WOW AMAZING! Light filled modern cafe. Coffee is the main draw for beverages with multiple options for non-coffee drinkers. Adeni chai was well balanced, good tea flavor and spice. Chai can be customized with choice of milk. Spice level 4/5 sweetness 0/5 comes sweetened and can be ordered without sugar allowing customers to sweeten to taste. Staff helpful and accommodating. I ordered the Turkish coffee and genuinely enjoyed it - it was rich, flavorful, and felt very authentic. The traditional Turkish presentation on a decorative platter with little cups added a special touch to the whole experience. My friend ordered the strawberry matcha latte and liked it. It was also beautifully presented with distinct layers that made it almost too pretty to drink. The café itself is spacious, bright, and welcoming, with plenty of seating. They have a variety of desserts that looked incredibly tempting but I didn't try any this time. There are so many other coffee shops in this area already I was surprised they agreed to put another one in the old plant shop building on the corner. (I loved the plant shop, RIP) I ordered an iced pistachio latte and it was fine. I wasn't blown away or anything. $8 not including tip is quite pricey for an iced coffee in my opinion. I met a few girlfriends here one Saturday morning. I don't know, I really don't think the middle Eastern coffee shops are my thing. They're popping up everywhere. read more

It was my first time trying coffee from Haraz. I ordered a cold pistachio latte with almond milk. Quite pricey...$9 and change. I realized after ordering my drink that the workers were fairly new and were following a drink recipe book to make the coffee/matcha. . They didn't know how to make the drinks by heart. It slowed down the process and the wait was very long for a simple drink. The place has a nice ambiance, but definitely more workers need to be hired. Many tables had left over dishes and no one to clean them. Only one worker knew what he was doing . The other two were in training and kept relying on him. The coffee does have a unique taste. The pistachio latte was just alright. Nothing special!!! read more

First, the drinks, the Turkish coffee with cardamom was so good and not bitter at all. It didn't even need any sweetener. I was super impressed. The strawberry Matcha was so tasty. The strawberry was not too sweet. The matcha was not overpowering. It was really well balanced, and delicious. The café is very bright and welcoming. However, the staff doesn't care if they put their fingers in your drinks. While online I saw a young female employee grab two large plastic cups. She should've grabbed them with two hands, but instead she stuck her fingers into both cups with one hand so that her fingers were all the way in up to the knuckle of her palm! I was debating whether I should say something. And then I saw her male coworker stick his fingers into a drink up to just passed the first knuckle. So then I said something to them like hey guys, you might not be aware of this but you're sticking your fingers pretty deeply into peoples cups and your customers can see what you're doing. They stood there. They looked at each other and then they ignored me -flat out didn't say anything! Not oh, I didn't realize I was doing that, not a single I'm sorry. Just nothing. I mean it's bad enough that they were doing it but to ignore me implies that they don't care at all and they also don't care about their customers which is why they're doing in the first place. So then I asked them, wouldn't you rather me, tell you to your face than in a yelp review. And the woman continued to ignore me. She was standing about 2 foot away, and there were no customers at the counter. There's no question that she heard me and the guy who was standing next to her said something like oh yeah, you're right OK, thanks. So the point of this is not to talk about these two people that really don't care about what they're doing the point is the management is not overseeing them. I can guarantee you this is a pattern. Haraz is very inconsistent with their drinks which is why I stopped going. This was my first time at this location so I figured I'd give it a shot and I left extremely disappointed. Aside from waiting 20 minutes for 3 drinks to be made, the banana latte was far from what I expected. It tastes like chocolate milk with a splash of banana. It had a thick texture and tastes nothing like a banana latte. The pistachio latte I ordered for my coworker had watered down ice the moment it was handed to me. Unfortunately I could not try my drink right there after waiting so long because I had to get back to work, but none of us were able to enjoy our drinks today and sadly had to throw them out. $31 down the drain. :/ read more

I've been here about five times since they opened and have always had great experiences--I've even brought coworkers and recommended it to others. Today was disappointing. I ordered the new banana latte, and it took over 30 minutes while I watched several orders placed after mine being served first. I let staff know I was in a rush, and while they acknowledged it, my order still wasn't prioritized. My coworker eventually had to step in to help get the drink, which shouldn't have been necessary. We love this place so much. It is a little over priced for a typical cup of coffee HOWEVER this is the best tasting coffee. It does not taste or smell burned. Many coffee shops have burnt coffee and if you take out syrups it just taste like dirt and burnt coffee. Here - it taste delicious no matter what format, it is not being masked by any syrups or flavors. Also, our most recent visit, the gentleman that took our order - Ryan - was the most pleasant customer service person I have ever interacted with. He seemed to genuinely enjoy taking my order and talking about their menu and wanting me to enjoy my experience - I don't have this standard for anyone working in food industry because I wouldn't personally have the energy to do that - however Ryan does. My husband said even if they brought out the absolute wrong drink , he would still be okay with it because of how cordial and friendly person. Additionally, Muhammad was very kind and making sure I had all that I needed.
