I was so happy to try the newest Haraz location in Charlotte because I'm a huge fan of the OG location in Plaza Midwood. This one is super new and I heard they had some kinks to work out. But I had a great experience here today. I ordered a simple green tea and a croissant. The tea was great and not too strong but very hot and I loved that. Some places serve hot drinks super lukewarm and I don't like that. Not here! I ordered a croissant and they brought me a chocolate croissant so I asked the server what happened and I guess they were out and I was a little confused and disappointed bc I didn't want a sweet croissant. So there was a bit of a miscommunication there but she was very kind and offered to refund me, but I kept it. No biggie really. It was good, just not what I wanted so I didn't finish it. Also, a server was walking around giving out free biscoff cheesecake slices and I thought that was super cool!!! I got one and it was delicious!! The shop is super cute and is located where a plant shop used to be. It's cool to see how they repurposed the space. I love Haraz so I'd come back if I'm ever on this side of town.

So happy for this third location opening in Ballantyne! It's even closer than the first two to our home, so will definitely be here often. I tried something new today, the salted caramel latte (iced) and it was DELISH!!! Also another new item I tired was the pistachio cheesecake...WOW AMAZING! No pic of the cheesecake because I devoured it immediately lol. Also grabbed some Dubai chocolate, my fav. Gotta go back to try the kanafe cheesecake soon. The vibe is chill and it's a sleek space with fresh decor. Service is fantastic (only one small recommended tweak: saying to go order names louder for customers as it can be hard to hear when orders are ready for pick up).

Such a cute vibe like all other locations. I love their pistachio latte and they also had vegan pistachio cookie that I absolutely loved. Just a small request to the owner to add more vegan options please, there is literally just one sweet dish option. I go to plaza location all the time and since I was in ballantyne thought of checking it out. I love this place

Haraz was fine. This is their new location in Ballantyne across the street from the Bowl. There are so many other coffee shops in this area already I was surprised they agreed to put another one in the old plant shop building on the corner. (I loved the plant shop, RIP) I ordered an iced pistachio latte and it was fine. I wasn't blown away or anything. $8 not including tip is quite pricey for an iced coffee in my opinion. I met a few girlfriends here one Saturday morning. I don't know, I really don't think the middle Eastern coffee shops are my thing. They're popping up everywhere.

Absolutely a gem! Not only do they have all the best coffee flavors but the traditional drinks too and the BEST bites! The staff is professional and welcoming, and the ambience is perfect with tons of seating and a very clean space. Definitely a must stop!

Haraz is very inconsistent with their drinks which is why I stopped going. This was my first time at this location so I figured I'd give it a shot and I left extremely disappointed. Aside from waiting 20 minutes for 3 drinks to be made, the banana latte was far from what I expected. It tastes like chocolate milk with a splash of banana. It had a thick texture and tastes nothing like a banana latte. The pistachio latte I ordered for my coworker had watered down ice the moment it was handed to me. Unfortunately I could not try my drink right there after waiting so long because I had to get back to work, but none of us were able to enjoy our drinks today and sadly had to throw them out. $31 down the drain. :/

Paid $6 for a coffee and found something at the bottom with the consistency of watery clay. Make it make sense.

Stopped in on a whim hoping to grab a cinnamon latte, but they told me the closest thing they had was a Harazi Mufawar, so I figured, why not? Drinking it felt like sipping an herb-infused coffee with the consistency of syrup... definitely not my cup of tea (or should I say my cup of coffee!) And to top it off, their prices were a bit on the higher side too.

    Turkish coffee!

Alas, success comes with challenges. As they have become better known the service has significantly declined. Today our warm food came out - and was eaten - 20 minutes before the drinks arrived. Precipitous fall from grace.... Sad.

Had the Turkish coffee is was good. Need to ve a little more robust, but the pastries made for the coffee.

We got the pistachio cheesecake and the Oreo mosaic cake, both were so good! Pistachio not too sweet which we loved. Also got two traditional drinks which were excellent. The girl who helped us was so sweet and gave us recommendations which were delicious. I appreciated her customer service.

I've been to several of their locations around the Charlotte area and they all share the same strengths: consistently great coffee, friendly baristas, and a calm, grounded atmosphere that makes even a quick stop feel like a small reset in the day. This particular shop isn't large, and the laptop crowd has definitely discovered it. There are only a handful of tables, so I felt genuinely lucky to land the last open one and settle in with my cortado. The drink was exactly what I expect from Summit every time, rich and balanced and served with the kind of quiet confidence that comes from a place that knows what it's doing. I opened the laptop, got a bit of work done, and enjoyed the rhythm of the room as people drifted in and out. And when the cortado was gone, so was I. It's the kind of space where I felt a gentle responsibility to make room for the next person once I've had your moment, especially on a busy morning. Even with its small footprint, it remains one of the most dependable coffee experiences in the area, and I always leave feeling like the stop was worth it. If you've tried their other locations, this one will feel familiar in the best way. If you haven't, it's a great introduction to what Summit does so well. We ordered a mocha and a latte with oat milk. I had mine with vanilla and caramel, and even added extra simple syrup. Unfortunately, the drinks just didn't stand out. I found myself sipping more for the caffeine than the flavor, and by the end, I couldn't really remember the taste. I was hoping to recreate that rich, memorable coffee experience I've had in Asheville, but this didn't quite hit the same. That said, I do appreciate the atmosphere and the friendly service, so I'd be open to giving it another try in the future.

One thing I always struggle with in Nashville is that they tend to run out of donuts and drinks pretty early in the day. Even by late afternoon, there are very few options left. That wasn't the case here. When I visited, they still had a great selection of donuts available, which made the experience much more enjoyable. I finally got the chance to try their lattes, and they did not disappoint. The Banana Bread Latte was one of the best specialty lattes I've had--rich, comforting, and full of flavor. The Café con Leche was equally impressive and absolutely delicious. The donuts were just as fresh and delicious as always, and having plenty of options to choose from made the visit even better. Overall, this location exceeded my expectations. I only wish the Nashville stores would stock more throughout the day so customers can enjoy the same experience. It was our first time visiting Charlotte, and after seeing that the shop was open until 11:00 p.m., we figured it would be the perfect way to end the evening. We arrived just a few minutes before closing, but since we only planned to order a couple of scoops of gelato, we expected to be in and out quickly. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the moment we walked in. Rather than greeting us or welcoming us, the employee immediately said, "Hey guys, by the way, we close in two minutes." There was no hello or friendly interaction. As we ordered, one member of our party asked to sample a couple of flavors, and the employee seemed visibly inconvenienced. When I asked if they had caramel drizzle, her response was simply, "No," with no warmth or attempt to offer an alternative. I completely understand that arriving close to closing can be frustrating for employees, and we were mindful of the time. However, the doors were still open, the posted business hours indicated the shop was open until 11:00 p.m., and we were respectful customers who knew what we wanted and intended to order quickly. What was most disappointing wasn't that they were closing soon--it was how unwelcome we were made to feel. As first-time visitors to Charlotte and Ballantyne, this wasn't the hospitality we expected. Customer service matters just as much during the last few minutes of business as it does throughout the rest of the day. I hope this feedback is taken as an opportunity to remind staff that every customer deserves to feel welcomed, regardless of when they walk through the door during posted business hours.
